Beautiful brushes. I have not used them yet but they have good design and I've had a good experience with their dry brushes.
I find some of their products overpriced if I'm honest - but I love the concept of this set of brushes and I like the fact they're made by and with real artists who paint miniatures. That's important.

I appreciated their swift response when I informed them that my paint brushes had been broken in transit. They offered to replace the broken ones or reimburse me. I took the option of replacements. Didn't like the fact that when the new brushes arrived they were labelled on the inside packaging with "Do Not Bend" implying that I had broken the original set of brushes I had ordered. Felt quite insulted and hence the 3 star review...

Great products, I now have more or less the whole sets!
Only grey spot the fact that are not available in places closer to my country (Cyprus) or in EU…

Ordered a single brush for delivery to Ireland.
They had the a huge "We ship worldwide" header on their page.
The pricing was in Euro (Autodetected I assume).
It was a .com website (as opposed to .co.uk).
There was no delivery information page on their website to indicate any complications with shipping to an EU country.
All indications were that this was going to be just another transparent webstore shopping experience.
It turns out they don't have IOSS, DDP or DDU set up and they don't even provide a subtotal line item for VAT to hint that it's the UK rate they are charging on the website (which is an instant indicator that none of this is set up).
The closest thing they have to a warning that they are not set up properly for EU distribution is that if you expand the "Shipping and Returns" section on an item where it gives you the shipping times for each region, right at the bottom of the "Europe/Worldwide Shipping" section is a one liner:
Customs fees _may_ be applicable.
I propably do a lot more online shopping than I should, particularly from the UK since it tends to be far more competitive with pricing than in Ireland where I live.
This is the first webstore I've encountered where the lack of proper EU shipping readiness is obscured to this level.
For a brand that strives to position itself as a merchant of premium products where attention to detail is at the core of everything they do - You might at least ship your EU orders DDU without VAT to make things very transparent.
Of course customs contacted me for the Irish VAT and handling charge which was almost half the cost of the order, so I reached out to Artis Opus customer support to confirm a full refund would be given on the order before rejecting the customs charges and having it shipped back to them.
I was since in touch with them after a couple of weeks because the refund hadn't happened yet, they haven't received the brush back yet. As it had already been a few weeks I recommended that they get in touch with Royal Mail to figure out why it hasn't been returned yet.
After a week of still not hearing back I followed up, they had sent an email to Royal Mail but haven't heard back yet.
I will probably check back in one more time after the new year before escalating.
In summary:
-Not impressed with the transparency of the site
-Not impressed with the customer service so far.
Sadly I will not be able to give a review of my experience with the brushes themselves.
It's a shame because I'm told they are different to any of the other Kollinsky Sable brushes made at the Rosemary & Co brush factory and could have been worth the extra premium, I was highly looking forward to testing that.
I'll update as the situation develops.
17/12/25: I had to lower my rating from a 3 to a 1 since Joe decided to reply and try to put words in my mouth. The entire theme of my review is that they do not make it clear that customs fees WILL apply to orders from the EU. It's not even clear that all orders will ship from the UK. Maybe change the banner prominently displayed on the site to "We ship worldwide... From the UK"

Amazing brushes! I have been using one for the past year and now I want more!

The drybrushes arrived in perfect condition, and the paint purgers were also intact. I've already used the brushes on my latest model's base details to my satisfaction.
The international shipping to Korea was cheap but slow and untrackable. I would pay a bit more for international trackability if the option was there.

My brushes shipped in a timely manner and despite us tarrifs at a fair price. These are some of the best brushes I've used for my miniatures.
