Hi Zoe,

You may not be up to date on our news, Artist Republik did not close down! It was infact acquired by our team at Fan Pass Live at the beginning of 2022. We cannot speak to what the previous Artist Republik team did (or did not) do for you, but we can ensure we are a new team whose number one priority is helping artists like yourself.

First, we wanted to address your statement regarding playlist, as some of the points you made are misleading and we'd like to make abundantly clear how the Artist Republik playlisting service works:

1) Artists have the opportunity to submit their songs to the database of playlists available on the Artist Republik platform. All playlists are thoroughly reviewed by our team and you also have the ability to check out the playlist ahead of time so you fully understand what playlist you are submitting to (the vibe/genre of tracks on the playlist, how many songs are already on the playlist, etc.)

2) The playlist curator(s) listen to your song, provides feedback on the track, and either approves or denies the submission for placement on their playlist. *NOTE* Only playlists clearly displayed as Artist Republik's playlists are reviewed/approved by our team. All other submissions are reviewed by our database of playlist curators, where we oversee service fulfillment (including reviewal, feedback, placement, refunds if necessary, etc.).

Additionally, it is stated across all messaging within our playlisting tool, as well as our FAQs, emails, Terms of Service & playlisting Terms & Conditions that paying for a campaign does not guarantee that a song will be added to any playlist on any streaming service, there are no guaranteed streams/plays, or playlists with guaranteed placement anywhere on the Artist Republik site, as pay-for-placement and artificial followers are both against Spotify’s terms and illegal in many areas of the world.

As for your distributed track, our team had a chance to check on this (as it was an order from 2020, before our acquisition) and see that your track was distributed through the unlimited/yearly subscription (not a lifetime release) which states in our Distribution Hub, Terms of Use, and FAQs:

"You will need to renew your yearly subscription every year in order to continue collecting royalties through Artist Republik. If your subscription isn’t renewed after a year, then your music is taken down from the stores."

Hi there,

We wanted to address your claim, as some of the points you made are misleading. We provide full transparency across all messaging within our playlisting tool, as well as our FAQs, emails, Terms of Service & playlisting Terms & Conditions that our curators' service is to review artists’ submissions; if they like what they hear, they may add it to a playlist, but that decision is solely at the curators’ discretion.

Paying for a campaign does not guarantee that a song will be added to any playlist on any streaming service, there are no guaranteed streams/plays, or playlists with guaranteed placement anywhere on the Artist Republik site, as pay-for-placement is both against Spotify’s terms and illegal in many areas of the world.

Nonetheless, you are fully entitled to your own opinions on the platform’s services, however, we can ensure that our services are authentic and we are committed to continually improving them, which is why user feedback is helpful and always appreciated!

Hi Bruuj, we understand this may simply be a trolling response for the sake of getting people riled up, but for other users who might actually believe you, we'd like to make abundantly clear how the Artist Republik playlisting service works:

1) Artists have the opportunity to submit their songs to the database of playlists available on the Artist Republik platform. All playlists are thoroughly reviewed by our team and we also give you the ability to check out the playlist ahead of time so you fully understand what playlist you are submitting to (the vibe/genre of tracks on the playlist, how many songs are already on the playlist, etc.)

Similar to many other playlist submission & pitching services, nowhere along the process do we ever guarantee that your song will be accepted, or that it will achieve a certain number of streams. Above all, the goal of our playlisting tool is to allow artists like yourself to receive genuine feedback from established playlist curators with the added perk of getting accepted if they like the song.

Providing refunds based on placements/streaming numbers creates a slippery & subjective slope that puts pressure on curators to (1) be inauthentic in their approvals & placements if they only earn on accepted/placed submissions and (2) pump artificial streams to increase plays, which often results in song/playlist removals & potential bans from Spotify.

All of these details & information regarding how our playlisting service works, refunding, and our reviewal process is also available in our FAQs and Terms of Service.
