Being in need of financial advice but not knowing which kind of advisor was best, I sought contact from two different kinds of financial advisor. The first company I spoke to, who offered the restricted advice that matched my situation, seem ideal, so I have taken them on.

Secondly I spoke to Mr Raj Chauhan, from Ascot Lloyd, who offer independent financial advice. I explained my situation i.e. that I had found a Financial Advisor that I was happy to enlist at present, and that I didn't want to mislead Mr Chauhan or waste his time. He was most courteous and professional, and clearly knowledge, giving me some useful tips for the present and the future. I assured Mr Chauhan that I will happily contact Ascot Lloyd in future if my circumstances change, as I am confident that an Ascot Lloyd Independent Financial Advisor would be more than capable of offering the advice I require.

I have had the misfortune to have to deal with Ascot Lloyd twice in the last 8 months. Firstly as Executor for my late father and secondly as Lasting Power of Attorney for my sister. Their incompetence and the resulting delays in getting information and funds released has caused me considerable stress. They are certainly not client focused, although they probably are if they want your money. Why I am still waiting over 2 months for them to transfer the funds in my sister's Stocks and Shares Cash ISA to her bank account is beyond me.

UPDATE 27/3/26 Ascot Lloyd's automatic response was to ask for my personal details so a member of the team could contact me. I provided the details, and over a week later, I have heard nothing. I rest my case!

Receved telephone call when expected.
Instructons on the process to follow were clear and concise and a successful result achieved within 15 minutes.
Mr Davis was friendly, helpful and concise, a deserved five stars.

So far, I've only had an initial call, but Raj was extremely helpful and gathered lots of info ahead of my first meeting with a financial advisor. He was friendly and put me at my ease.

After some initial delays in getting a response, one of their team, Raj Chauhan got in touch to provide support.

Raj was very professional and promised to call me back as soon as he had an update on my query. Within an hour he had called back, provided the update required and resolved the issue.

Raj gets 5 stars for his professionalism and attention to detail.

One star removed as there was a delay of a few days in being directed to Raj.

The adviser is very helpful and under standing knowing what we want without being pushy and she makes me feel comfortable. The company is doing the job of making the most of what they can and iam pleased so far very efficient.

Very useful conversation with adviser helped make decisions that I would not have done.
