Worst service
Worst service. Its all that's been written below and much more. Its now a month since the site is down and they are still working on it. I have a VPS Level II transferred from HostNine. Despite the high service charge, the service is pathetic.
The tech team does not have access to reset the server, and the admin doesn't care at all if your site is down.
They are all of-course very concerned about the issue and understand the same. Nothing. They understand Nothing. They know nothing.
Now I cannot even access my cpanel and am wondering how I can transfer my domain from there.

Worse hosting ever!!!! There's not anything worse than ASmallOrange, period, full stop! Run far away from this company! They are only good at charging you, but then nothing works, sites are down all the time, and customer service answers you 2 weeks later with a ridiculous response, I mean this company deserves 0 stars.

Awful. Horrid customer experience. Lack of accountability, issue resolution, or simple basic business timeliness and execution. Used ASO for a small business site in late 2014. Was ok for a while. Over the last few years, just turned to rubbish - akin to dealing with a bureaucratic government from the 1500s. Finally fired them at the end of 2021.
Beware, they will be quick to take your money, but force odd cancellation steps.
A small orange was never particularly great when it came to site speed. However, it was inexpensive but as with most things that cost very little, you end up paying for it later.
I ultimately decided to cancel my account and transfer all my domains to another host.
I submitted a request to their billing department asking that my account be cancelled and that they not charge my account.
I received no emails indicating any further response was needed. A few days later, I see that A Small Orange has charged my credit card.
I log back on to their site and see that my ticket requesting cancellation was responded too asking that I use a specific form to cancel my account. I do this and request a refund and after repeated back and forth, the refuse to issue the refund. I will be working with my credit card company to reverse the charge, but this is something that should never have happened.
If you send a message, within their system, to the billing department asking for cancellation - that should take care of it. Also, if they need a response, I would expect an email letting me know that fact.

I'm here trying to save other from making the same mistake I made and trusting these scammers... I order a simple Dedicated Ip addont and after 5 weeks it never got implemented... One of the frontline customer support let it slip oput that there server are all messed up and they having been trying to correct their network problem the last six months and counting..
DISASTER
My dedicated server has been down for nearly a week now and there is no support whatsoever. They keep saying they are working to fix it the "soonest" and nothing happens. It's a disaster for my business and all my clients. I have been with ASO for over 8 years and they used to be good but not anymore. I ended up leaving them as they never fixed it and switched to a much better hosting company with real support.

I have used A Small Orange for at least fifteen years. They were excellent in the beginning and I loved their fast responses. These days, they are garbage. Some examples: They refuse to update the PHP running my WordPress website (the version they are running is several years old). They answer support tickets only after several days and often with an unsatisfactory answer. And their tech support people sometimes seem to know even less than I do. I will switch to a better, more reliable (and less expensive!) service.

I been with this company for 18yrs coz they were good.... ONCE UPON A FAIRYTALE... but now they made it impossible to leave.... coz they refuse to assist or reply to customer queries, errors or problems that arise, when im trying to leave finally and goto another host.

This company is part of an organized scam of web hosting companies. There is a whole group of incompetent hosting sites that are all working together with different names - but don't be fooled - you'll get an embarrassing level of service and quality from them.
We didn't renew hosting from Arvixe (apparently their sister company) and this company charged us for a year of hosting with no recourse to actually follow up on them - AS WE AREN'T EVEN THEIR CLIENT.
Run as far away from them and go to a real American company. When I raised the issue with my bank, they show up as a known scammer.

They have no support!
Some guys on the chat from India that can't do nothing other then try to reboot and open a ticket.
It took them 3 days to respond to a ticket of server down!!!

ASO used to be fantastic but they're absolute garbage now, borderline scam. They literally do not have a way to delete your credit card information, will renew your plan when you disabled auto renewal 2 weeks before it's due and hide behind "according to our terms of service you have to cancel 45 days before your renewal".

Was a customer for over 8 years. Server uptime and stability is toast. Technical support chat is fine but you won't here a peep from any other tiers via email, tickets, or otherwise. Believe all the people here when they say, do not use this company to host any website or service you care about. And the icing on top of the I've-had-enough cake was the fact that I bought some add-ons for my service and then 5 days later went to cancel those add-ons and they refused to do so. The kicker? They hadn't even installed the add ons yet AND I'd heard nary a word from any support staff on the matter. No emails, no phone calls, no tender words of "we are on it", zippo mate. So the objective lesson when dealing with ASO:
Service not rendered and yo money gone. You have been warned.

This company are honestly awful. We have had issues with emails not sending for over 3 years and just keep getting told they are working on it. Do not use this company if you want to send emails to yahoo, aol, BT or hotmail accounts because they will just bounce back all the time and no one helps resolve the issue.

Even though that I have many different hosting packages, including the free hosting, I have never seen anything worse than ASmallOrange. The support is awful, they reply once a week, the prices go high every year even though that the service is going down. I would not stay there even if they pay Me instead of being paid themselves

If you value your money - stay away from this hosting company.
They have charged me earlier than the due date without notice for numerous domain renewals and never send an email letting me know when it's about to happen - so I don't have a chance to cancel a domain if it's not in use anymore.
They also keep charging for domains I've transferred away from their site.
They also keep asking for my full account numbers and images of my bank statements to prove it happened - they are obviously fishing for my personal info. They have records of the charges and I have shown them screenshots of the transactions - so there's not question I was charged - beware they are just trying to get your bank info!
Believe all the bad reviews! They are a very unscrupulous business.
