Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 69 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people reported unexpected charges, often for £40.56, appearing on their bank statements, leading some to cancel their cards and query the transactions. Customers frequently mentioned that these charges were unexpected, as they had no knowledge of subscribing to any service from this company. The website was often described as uninformative, and many felt there was a lack of clarity regarding the purpose of providing card details, such as when paying for legitimate services like parking or food. The minority of people were dissatisfied with the difficulty in cancelling subscriptions, with some noting that even after attempting to cancel, payments continued to be processed. Some reviewers also highlighted issues with the company's pricing model, where an initial £0.00 charge for verification or a short free trial quickly escalated to recurring monthly fees without clear consent.

Money was taken without my permission…

Money was taken without my permission and I am very worried that they can still help themselves. It was £40.56 and all I have done this week was to try and watch my son's live streamed rugby match at the Hartpury Festival. When trying to watch it I was asked to pay £0.00. I am so angry that scammers have targeted a youth event and I fell for it :(
There were many parents and families that would have wanted to live stream the tournament so am hoping they haven't scammed too many of us.

Despicable scammers

Same as the other reviews. Never heard of them and never clicked a link or subscribed. Happened the day I downloaded Ringo App from Google Play ti pay for parking. Virgin bank blocked payment of £40.66 and my card was cancelled. Hot my new card and again they tried to take £40.66 and Virgin fraud team called me. Another card cancelled. Now I can't put my new card on Google Pay as it seems this is how these people are getting to me. Virgin Bank assure me any requests for payment from Assistabill are now blocked on my account. Despicable scammers.

Outright scammer company Out of the blue i was informed by bank…

Out of the blue i was informed by bank that 2 payments of £40.56 was presented to my account. I've never heard of this "company" nor had any dealings with them so to me this was a definite scam. My bank declined the payments and immediately blocked my card forcing me to wait the appropriate time for renewal (5 days) . The invonvenience caused by this scammer is very annoying. Who are they ????

I had money taken out of my account…

I had money taken out of my account from this company under false representation of the payment.v
The payment was advertised to be £0.00 but when I checked my bank account 4 days later I had an pending transaction from the company for £40.56p
I have just finished contacting my bank about the situation but as the transaction is still pending nothing can be done until the money has left my account. I have been given follow up directions as to what needs to be done to get my money back and have blocked any further transactions with this company.

Scam

I noticed 2 payments had gone out of my Bank account over the last 2 months. I did not recognise the company as I had not subscribed to them. Had never even heard of them. Went to my Bank who said it was a scam and cancelled any further payments as they had set up monthly payments without my knowledge. I have also reported it to the fraud department at my bank.

Don't deserve 1 star but had no choice

They don't deserve 1 star. This is a scam. Noticed 2 payments coming out of my account. Managed to cancel my so-called subscription but not received the first payment back. Said I had
subscribed to the digital content service Online Hub Max, bundling Movies, TV Shows, Gaming, Health & Fitness and Educational content, which I absolutely did not! I think they may have got my details from a QR code but not sure. I did not receive an email to say I had signed up to anything. Watch for this company appearing on bank statements and get in touch immediately to cancel.

They have just gone up 1 level

They have just gone up 1 level, they only managed to hacked the YouTube/activate page and replaced the QR code with theirs. Unfortunately for me I have bad eyesight and thought it was YouTube and allowed them to do a card check on my Google Pay. Following day there's a card check 0.00 transaction, then the next day there's a pending transaction of £40.56 for a subscription that I have no idea what it's for. Cancelled my card, cancelled the recurring payment , cancelled the card with Google Pay and hope they can't get the money. I will report them to the police.

Scammers

Scammers. My bank contacted me on a Friday to say they had block a transaction. They cancelled my credit card and issued a new one. The new one was then compromised the following day. Fortunately my bank was alert. Thieving gits.

This company or scammers tried to take…

This company or scammers tried to take £46 from my bank account. Fortunately I spotted it and chase gave me the money back. I had to cancel my card but each month Assistbill try to take money from my account. Chase obviously decline the payment. I have no idea who this company is, I've never bought anything from them. Chase say they're something to do with my water bills but I pay them by D.D to the water company's.
Total scam, please be aware!

Same as everyone else on here

Same as everyone else on here. I think they got my details after purchasing a free app from the I store. Then all of a sudden they take out £40.56 from my account and seems like it’s a subscription. I’ve reported to bank, they won’t allow any further payments and hopefully I will get a refund. This is just a scam and scary how easy it happens. Someone stop them!
