Great fun experience, also filming Bargain Hunt on the premises. Emma and Tracy were overly helpful and professional and calm under intense pressure, well done ladies.

Danger

Stop, be aware, this auction wanted to charge me 90 -NINTY- POUNDS, to post 65 stamps, worth 10 pounds.
I ended up paying the 10 pounds, they charged me 5 pounds for packaging, although, I told them to throw the stamps in the bin, worst ever auction experience I ever had

Seamless buying experience

I recently won 3 lots with Auctioneum I received the invoice with postage costs very quickly in fact the same day.

The packaging of the these items was packed securely and very professionally packed no expensive was spared on packaging materials.

The items where shipped on date as promised with Fedex and arrived on date expected.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped with ensuring that everything was seamless

I would especially like to thank Tracy Hopkins The client services and adminstration manager for the information she provided with regards to their courier company FedEx they did not disappoint.

1 star because you can't review zero…

1 star because you can't review zero stars.
My items were in the auction on 5/11/24 and I called today to ask when my payment will be made as it was day 28 of their T&C's (won't make payment no sooner than 28 days) Mya who answered my call was extremely rude and refused to inform me of when my payment would be made. The answer given flippantly by Mya was "no sooner than 28 days" repeatedly like a robot and as I explained the 28 days expired today she was unable to give me a date my payment would be made, she blamed the accounts manager for not being there and a new system and did not offer any apology or commit to calling me back with an update on the delay. I asked to make a complaint and I was given a call back by Tracey the Admin Manager.
Tracey said she was training Mya......my question is...
Who is training Tracey because her customer service skills were appaling.
What I was told today by Tracy
A couple of buyers havent paid for their lots (explanation)
My question
When will I get an update
Tracy - You just have to wait!!! Until when 2027!!!
I asked for an update on Friday ( I had to ask as it certainly wasn't being offered)
Tracy - Yeah, you can call in ! Really Tracy
I am a customer and your response when I pushed you to commit to calling me (THE CUSTOMER) Tracy said - I can't guarantee it - too many emails and inbound calls to deal with!
Appaling customer service from a trainee (could be forgiven) but clearly trained to not satisfy their customers.
I would reccommend NOT handing over your valuables to this company who don't want to treat you as a customer should be treated and then hold on to your money for an indefinite period of time!!!

customers treated with contempt.

Condition report was carried out by a porter with no knowledge of thew item he was reporting on. When it arrived there was an important piece missing. Lucy's response was my request for a condition report was not precise enough. The porter would only describe what was present not what was missing. This auction houses' attitude to their customers is contempt. Buyer beware!

a fairly aggressive bunch

a fairly aggressive bunch , I paid for the lot a day or so late as it was between xmas and new year , then was billed later for ARR in a similar manner, then they blocked me on "the saleroom " for no apparent reason

So far so very good

So far so very good. I won my first ever auction outside of eBay and I was unsure what to do next as the item I purchased was quite far from my home. I spoke to Allie who quickly found me a very competitive delivery price and after paying I have just spoken to Tracy to confirm arrangements. Both ladies were so helpful and pleasant to talk to. I haven't received the item yet so I can't comment on that and I am hoping it matches the excellent customer service so far. Thank you

Beware postal charges

Bought a pair of earrings in the auction for £110 (plus standard buyer charges etc.). No problem, all clear so far.

Asked Auctioneum for a quote to post them to me. Auctioneum quoted delivery charge of £50+ via FedEx for ONE PAIR OF EARRINGS.

I asked them to send via Royal Mail Tracked instead. Much cheaper.

Auctioneum say they only send via Fed Ex and that if I want Royal Mail they would charge me £12 for packaging (yes, this is still ONE PAIR OF EARRINGS) and I would have to ask Royal Mail to collect them from Auctioneum and charge accordingly (for HOW much?).

Let's be clear: we are not talking about a goat, a giraffe, an elephant, a guitar or even a book here. We are talking about a PAIR OF EARRINGS.

I asked Auctioneum twice for a forum where I could report this experience.... radio silence. Glad I found Trustpilot.

Criminal charges filed

Why do I have to give one star to rate this company? They deserve none. Will never deal with them again. They claim they can not charge my credit card to ship the item, yet they did charge it to rack up storage fees. They kept money and the item won. Criminal charges filed.

Very good service

Very good service, we especially appreciated how helpful and willing they were when picking up the goods from the house. All went smoothly with minimum of effort on our part. Will definitely use them again.
