Service quality is dangerously frustrating

Tried to use the chat service...
It took over 3.15 hours to get a response back from the LIVE (!) Team... my ticket was purchased from Aunt Betty website and flight change notice came from a different company, i was concerned for the email authenticity therefore called Aunt betty team, took 1.45 hour to reach the call centre... they shared an email for future communication, I replied to that email for the cancellation and refund and no response for three days... then, I TRIED TO CHAT ONLINE AND it took 3.15hour for someone to respond , by that time I fall a sleep... AND i had to call again and get things sorted over the phone... its just simply a torture to get service from Aunt Betty....I will avoid this company all together for any future business... truly disappointing service.

It was cheap which was the main thing…

It was cheap which was the main thing to travel and the booking was easy too. Some sites cheat by putting the cheap fare on the main page and when going to book it says seats not available and to buy the next expensive ticket

Four hours of waiting.

Need to change flight times. Was quoted a cancellation fee higher than what we paid for the tickets!!!

Trying to get someone on the phone. Have been on hold for a combined 1.5 hours across two phone calls trying to reach someone today.

UPDATE: Waiting 2.5 hours today now, still nobody picking up from their call centre...

No I can't use the online tool. I have tricky change to make.

UPDATE:
So issue finally resolved, but it took FOUR HOURS of waiting on the phone and talking to the call centre to resolve.

Staff were courteous but the wait time was just ridiculous.

Cost me a lot of money

Got an email in April to say my flight has been disrupted back to the uk via Doha (not unexpected) but I got TWO choices only, request a change of date up to 31st October or cancel, given I can’t change the date I cancelled and had to pay over double for a new flight, only for them not to have processed the refund and for my flight to be going ahead, so they have essential cost me $2150 for not giving me an option to see how the flight changes went over the next few weeks! Side note I won’t get a refund for another 4 months and the refund is only being processed because I spent an hour on hold to follow up on it (to which I was told oh we don’t have any cancellation request)

You should not engage with Aunt Betty

Aunt Betty owes me a refund for cancelled flights. After 18 weeks of waiting, I have not received a refund. It takes them more than two hours to answer their phone and they routinely disconnect the call when they eventually pick up. They do not respond to emails. They have said that qantas has my money but qantas confirmed this is inaccurate. Without a doubt, Aunt Betty is a company you should avoid at all costs.

URGENT

URGENT: Formal Complaint Regarding Outstanding Refund – Booking #ABY35873168**

Dear Aunt Betty Customer Service Team,
I am writing this formal complaint to express my extreme disappointment regarding the handling of my refund for flights cancelled on **March 19th** (Reference: **#ABY35873168**).
While we have previously had good experiences with your company, the shocking communication and the fact that you are still holding our money means we will not be booking with you again.
### **The Issue**
On March 19th, via live chat, we were explicitly promised a **full refund** due to the Middle East situation. During that conversation, we were told we would receive a **formal confirmation email proving that the refund form had been sent directly to the airline**, including the details of the correspondence between Aunt Betty and Qatar Airways.
To date, we have received **no such confirmation**. You have failed to provide the very proof of progress you promised, leaving us with no transparency regarding our funds.
### **Service Failures**
Our attempts to resolve this have been exhausting and unprofessional:
* **Wasted Time:** We have spent up to **3 hours** on live chat only to be knocked off, and over **2 hours** on phone calls only to be hung up on.
* **The "Runaround":** You claimed Qatar would email us and we had to contact you back to start a 12-week process. However, **Qatar Airways has confirmed this is false.** They stated that Aunt Betty manages the refund entirely and the customer should not have to do a thing other than wait for the agent to return the money.
### **Required Action**
It is our money at the end of the day. We do not have thousands of dollars to wait over three months for while trying to book alternative travel to see loved ones.
**I demand that you:**
1. Immediately contact Qatar Airways to finalize the refund for **#ABY35873168**.
2. Provide the **promised confirmation** that the refund request has been sent to the airline, including the correspondence details.
3. Process the return of our funds to the original payment method immediately.
I expect a response and proof of action within **3 business days**. If this is not resolved, I will escalate this to the relevant consumer protection authorities and initiate a credit card chargeback.

Cancelled flight didn’t refund on refundable ticket

I booked a refundable ticket. They cancelled my flight and then waited over 1.5 hrs on hold ( they never answered) so I sent them an email. They refused to refund my ticket saying it was my fault as I clicked wrong box. “ I clicked cancelled ticket “ pretty straight forward I thought. This was 2nd time they refused to refund a ticket ! Do not book with this company !!

Don’t use Aunt Betty!!
The original booking process was easy & the flights cheaper than I could get by booking directly with the airline. But then I was advised by the airline that one of my connecting flights was cancelled. Rearranging was a complete nightmare. The airline wouldn’t manage it as I’d booked through a third party. So many hours on hold, so many phone calls over 2 weeks, no call backs or communication or confirmation as promised. So frustrating and stressful!

Aunt Betty wrote my name in the wrong…

Aunt Betty wrote my name in the wrong order on my tickets, I’ve tried to contact them, waiting on hold for hours, emailing them to get no response. To then finally getting through on the phone and then they hang up on me! Just not good enough. Will never book though them again.

Truly you cannot book with Aunty Betty

Truly you cannot book with this business. Absolutely appalling customer service. After they changed my original flight (went from a 2 hr layover, to 8hr layover), I spent weeks trying to confirm whether my paid exit row seating would still be available on the new booking.

I made countless calls, chats, and emails, often waiting over five hours just to speak to someone, only to be kicked back to the start of the queue even after replying immediately. Promised follow-up emails never arrived, and no one could provide a clear answer or resolution.

Today after waiting in the chat queue from 9am to after 2pm, I was finally connected to an agent, replied immediately, and was still removed from the conversation and sent back to the beginning of the queue.

Completely unacceptable service, terrible communication, and zero accountability.

DO NOT BOOK INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS THROUGH AUNT BETTY!
I booked international flights through Aunt Betty 9 months ago. I was emailed by Qatar a week before we were due to fly out that the flights had been ‘rescheduled’. The Aunt Betty website directed me to only call if it was 72 hours before my flight. I waited 2 days before calling as I needed to know if I had to make other arrangements. I was on hold for 4 hours before someone answered a 5 minute phone call to tell me the flight was canceled and there was no option of rerouting. I asked for a refund and was told I had to wait until Qatar sent me a voucher and they would begin to process it which would take up to 3 months for a refund. It has now been 6 weeks since that phone call numerous emails have been sent to Aunt Betty as I can not email Qatar because it was booked through a 3rd party. And I have not received any emails or notifications back at all from Aunt Betty about my refund. I understand the current situation in the Middle East and the toll it has taken but this is getting ridiculous. Out of pocket $3,013.13 dollars and no word of a refund.

Seats issues

This is my second time booked with aunty Betty and I won't be book with them ever again.
Got a email & call confirmed seats and spoken to them on the phone said they're said all good, got check in different seats and have to sit somewhere else 🤦🏽😔 TWICE!
Useless! So frustrated...
