No Respite for Caregivers

I’m finding it difficult to understand why Nursing Homes for Parkinson’s Patients have problems providing respite for the caregivers to have a necessary break from caring.
Respite is essential for full time family Carers. We need a break or we will break!
Autumna saved me time by researching the homes for me. But unfortunately they weren’t able to help.
To be honest, they came up with the same answers as I did! There is no Respite beds in Nursing Homes because the Nursing homes are prioritising Permanent patients. So where does that leave myself and other full time carers!

We are finding that most homes are asking for 1-2 weeks notice when asking for respite which I know is short notice when you are trying to book a holiday or have a break. Please come back to us nearer the time of your break and we can look again for you. We can also look at alternatives such as respite home care or live in care if this is a possibility. Prompt and efficient service

I received a sensible number of options via email. Many of the places also sent a personalised follow up email asking if they could help any further . My mum is currently sorted in a rehabilitation facility but should I need to explore care in the future I would use this site again .

Helped find care for my dad

I tried a few different services to help me find care for my dad and I gave autumna a call last Saturday. The lady I spoke with was very helpful in putting me in contact with some care homes who I hadnt found already. Managed to sort something already and dad will move in soon. Relieved how quickly they helped me find homes who could help.

Patronising& discouraging group.

Newly in receipt of an inheritance,I filled in a query form for modest purchase in Newcastle.
I received a most discouraging message,advising me to ask the Council to house me!
I am housed,I do not need your patronage..
If people with £ 100,000 are too poor to apply,don't include this range in your selection.
Their e mail reply,suggested I might find more money!

Outstanding customer service

I can't thank Debbie enough for her phone call at 5.45 last night - I wasn't expecting a call back that quickly. Excellent service

I have recently contacted Autumna.co.uk regarding a care placement for my Mum. The response by Autumna was very quick and comprehensive where I received a list of local care providers appropriate to the needs I described in addition, the providers were able to contact me directly (as I requested). The follow up has been helpful and good- I would definitely recommend.

Excellent Service

What an amazing service this company provides.
I was helping my friend research care homes and following a 'bot' conversation Debbie from Autumna contacted me.
For a very reasonable fee, they carried out all the research needed to identify appropriate accommodation for my friend and presented it in a professional, user-friendly report, all within the agreed timescale.
They were very approachable and I would be more than happy to recommend them to anyone seeking assistance with what can be a very stressful and hassle-filled experience.

What a brilliant service !!
Exactly what people considering a retirement home need as well as their families.
A great web site with really useful links as well as phone numbers for the technically challenged and super personal contact when you phone Autumna.
They certainly helped me work through the issues including many I had not thought about.

Help at last

I phoned Debbie a few days ago. Google kindly suggested the service. I phoned straight away as I have spent weeks trying to get advice. I was very impressed with the help that she gave me very quickly. She made it clear to me what my next steps should be, and sent me a list of local care homes. I has helped me to go on to the next step of contacting places which seem suitable, and am clear what else I need to do.

Working together for improvement.

I have worked with Debbie and her team for a number of years and found this relationship to be refreshing in a sector that can be very demanding. Debbie is more then happy to listen and to work together in trying to shape the future of care today. Excellent, Honest & Impartial Advice

Debbie and the team at Autumna offer a wonderful service. Their listings are independent which is a huge selling point when you measure against comparable services. Personal Recommendation

I know Debbie Harris personally and I am in awe of her passion and her knowledge within the care industry. I have experienced first hand the complex choices and overwhelming amount of information. With her care and passion I would highly recommend Autumna If I was ever faced with making this this decision again.

Full trust

Full trust
Having recommended Autumna and services to friends and family, I share others sentiment and whole heartedly recommend Autumna. They were able to support some life long family friends with information and advice in the heart wrenching decision of care for a newly incapacitated daughter. Despite not being their typical operating area, the family called me later to express how sensitive, genuine and above all helpful the team were.
I have no hesitation in personally recommending or supporting Autumna.

Complete faith in the service Autumna Provide!

I know Debbie Harris personally, and I am always blown away with her passion and knowledge of the Carehome industry. I would have complete faith in Autumna to help find me a Carehome for a loved one. We all hope that we never have to be put in this position, but it's relieving to know that such a thorough, no bias service exists out there, that is driven by genuine passion.

If you need to put a loved one into a Carehome, I would look no further. I can guarantee that Debbie and her team will go beyond your expectations in finding the most suitable Carehome based on your exact criteria.

I couldn't recommend Autumna enough!

Caring and personal service

I know Debbie Harris personally and the service Autumna offers. When a friend told me she was looking for a care home for her elderly mother I had no qualms about recommending Autumna to her. She told me she'd already used the service and Debbie had found the perfect home for her mother. She couldn't praise Debbie and Autumna highly enough. The sheer relief and peace of mind Debbie and the Autumna service provides is priceless

Debbies passion , expertise and compassion overflows when she talks about the process of finding your beloved mum or dad the RIGHT place to continue their lives . AUTUMNA understands how precious your parents are and the importance of finding them a place where you can rest totally assured that they can carry on enjoying their lives and you can also live yours knowing that they are receiving the best care you could wish for .Further more what makes them a stand out in their field of expertise is that Autumna don't take ANY referral fees for the amazing service they deliver
