Terrible service
Terrible service! I am a landlady whose previous tenant was with Avid energy so i had to sign up after she left. It took me months to a tually get through to them to sign up.in the first place.
I didn't get any dual fuel offer. I want to change to credit but I've been told that they don't do that. The other major suppliers have told me that i have to get them to transfer to credit before i can go with them.
If avid energy don't do credit then thst means I'm stuck with Avid energy !!
The operator suggested i waited for my new tenant and then my balance will be wiped out; why would I want to do that ? It's dishonest and will ruin my credit score !
Something doesn't seem right with this company - i wanted tp give them the benefit of the doubt but on numerous calls I've only got though to a lovely and helpful operator 1 time after numerous calls.

I switched to Avid a couple of months ago.
The prices are ridiculous and despite me being in credit when leaving they are refusing to refund me.
Customer service.
Honestly, only writing this based on one gentleman I've spoken to; Aidan. So helpful, and got what I needed done fast. If I was writing before I spoke to him they would have had a negative review. Honestly will be ringing him directly for any future issues or queries. Thank you!
P.s. hope his manager sees this and gives him a pay rise!
Absolute liars
I left Avid energy in the 1st week of March with almost £50 of credit still on the meters, at the time I was advised this would be returned.
Called them in the middle of April and was told that they had been waiting for a cheque book( That old chestnut) and it would be with me the following week, needless to say this did not happen.
Called early May was told they had escalated the issue with the revenue department and would call me back within 24 hours (LIE). I Called the following day and after an apology was told that she would escalate the issue as the more times that it gets escalated the better chance of getting it sorted (Lie).
For the 3rd day in a row I have called them I am again being told that they have been waiting for a cheque book and will issue a cheque and could be with me next week.
So 8 weeks if it happens to get £50 off a company that probably deals with tens of thousands of gas and electricity accounts must still employ someone to sit and write out cheques put it in an envelope lick a stamp and send the post room person to the nearest post box.

Each time I have spoken to the above regarding queries or to top up, the quality of customer service has been consistently excellent; helpful, friendly and professional at all times.
I benefit greatly from the extra credit and friendly credit during periods that I have neglected to monitor the available credit, however, I do feel my monthly costs are higher than my previous supplier. I was advised by Ross yesterday to discuss energy management and usage, which, I intend to do, time permitting.

Expensive liars. My gas & electric charges doubled within one month. I cancelled my account. Told I would get a refund which has taken 6 weeks. Every time I phoned or emailed them , I was told they were waiting for a cheque book to refund. I'd rather sit in the cold & the dark then trust Avid Energy

Absolutely disgusting provider firstly they tricked a vulnerable woman into going with them in the first place then slammed me with £2 per day standing charges that’s before using any electric my energy usage at the moment is 0 yet they still take £20+ from me per week this is appalling for a 1 bedroom bedsit secondly the customer services don’t have the brains they were born with 3 times I’ve called in the last week to make the same complaint I’m still waiting for a callback from a manager this company is nothing but a bunch of con artists customer service threatening me with legal action if I go with another provider please avoid these rip off merchants I’m currently in talks with my solicitor to get back the £2 per day standing charges which they’ve illegally charged me absolutely disgusting im a single mother on benefits & you take my money without giving me any electric this company won’t be running for much longer mark my words

Switched away from Avid with £15 credit left on my account, and TWO MONTHS later, despite multiple requests, reminders and phone calls, I have received no contact from Avid and certainly no refund. Off to the ombudsman I go! Do NOT give your custom to this selfish, uncommunicative, downright abysmal company.

Absolutely disgusted that this company has decided to move me from my current supplier to them without even asking me about it. Been sorting this out since last month when I found out to then find out today after I cancelled the move that they moved me anyway. Then to be told this evening that I have to wait til the morning and that it was cancelled but sometimes it goes through anyway! What a joke!!!!!

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE NO HELP Aiden improved my opinion of company
After speaking to your rep l agreed to change but after an hour of considering I called up and cancelled decided to stay with Utilita.
As l never heard anything from you i thought it was finished with .
Until Monday the 8/4/19 when i tried to top up with my firm who informed me i had gone over to AVID since then i was up on emergency credit and was promised cards would be sent .I am going back to my old firm .
Am left with electric running out as i can't top up . I am a pensioner who can't walk and very unhappy with the service i received from Avid
and would advise no one to go to them .
The customer service was no help at all TRIED AGAIN THIS MORNING ASKED YO SPEAK TO MANAGER WOULD NOT GET ONE AS THEY DON'T COME TO PHONE THAT IS BAD
SPOKE TO AIDEN He was very helpful and he is looking in to the issues I had and getting things sorted out for me Pity i could not speak to him earlier as things would have been better and my opinion
of the company would have been better

Ok so my gas has gone when it went it was £11.08 TO GET MY GAS BACK ON IT HAS BEEN 5DAYS WITH NO GAS HOW HAS MY BILL GONE UP TO £15.23 WITH OUT ME USE ANY GAS AT ALL THIS COMPANY ARE NOT AS GOOD AS THEY MAKE OUT TAKES AT LEAST HALF AN HOUR FOR UR CREDIT TO GO ON TO THE SMART METTER THATS GAS AND ELECTRICITY THINK TWICE BEFORE LETTING THIS COMPANY IN TO UR FINACIES
