The reason I’ve give four stars is because I’ve had a few problems with avid energy itself not the coustomer service.
The coustomer service has been brilliant, especially Aidan Doyle who has helped me so much with any problems I have been having.

STANDING CHARGES MUST READ.......
I switched to avid energy a year ago and the customer service staff are a credit to the company. However.... I noticed my bills were though the roof and £20 electric and £20 gas on my smart meter were only lasting a week! I don't use lots of electric so when I rang a different company up I realised the standing charge for the smart meters is roughly 45p EACH METER PER DAY that's £7.00 roughly a week on a standing charge. Please read this before you switch because its important and not many people know this. So I was in fact only using £45 electric and £45 gas a month but look at the difference thanks to the standing charge. I sadly have decided to switch and will save a hell of a lot of money. Sorry avid but your standing charges are ridiculous!
