Have been with AXA for a long time and have car home and van Insurance with them
all of which have gone up substantially with the van insurance doubling and the cover less
I contacted them having tried (four separate times and waiting on the call for considerable periods and twice just being hung up on) for to get a better quote and was told that this was the best offer and they would not move on it and continued to just be totally dismissive
they just don't care about any customers and as for loyalty this just don't exist they have become an impossible company to deal with and their reps have no customer focus or respect.
3 hours today wasted with them

Having a not great experience with axa…

Having a not great experience with axa car insurance, they said a 3 month break in cover (due to one off seizure) would not impact on cover amount when the 6 month seizure free period was up. However they are now treating a new quote as a new business account at a rate that's well over 50%! Not our understanding when we spoke to them in June. Hope this gets resolved with the telephone transcripts.

2 star's becose at the start of the year they offer good price but now insurance gone €250 more even if I did not make
a claim but of course same strategy as all of the insurance company

"lots off other people claims that's the reason insurance going up..."

I would not recommend it until this scam will be changed...

AXA Home Ins quote refusal!

To be honest, like 'other' customers using this page- I found it hard to give 1☆ as AXA refused to give us a 🏡 insurance quote, as they thought our property was liable to 'flood' (of which i disputed) - i pointed out that we lived quite high- at the top of a road.. very poor customer service, and the company obviously are not looking for any 'new' customer's!!

Anyone that rates them more than one star needs their heads checked. I was involved in an RTA and I put in a claim, they paid nothing out in the claim and refuse to release my vehicle back to me so I can strip it for parts to salvage some money as my car was expensive.

Axa deleted my 1 star review on Feefo

My insurance premium increased almost €300 with an extra years no claim bonus! No incentive for loyalty. I hadn't included commuting to work on my policy and they when on the phone to them, they said this, which was fine. I then questioned what if I was in an accident in the same town as my place of work, would I not be covered then?? They hung up immediately without answering my question.

I of course went with a different company. But I received an email from Axa this week asking for a review on Feefo. I left an appropriate one star review, stating the same info as above.

Axa replied saying that they discounted me with €280, giving me the 'best possible price'. They failed to mention that it was still more expensive than my previous years policy, almost €60 more, not sure of the exact figures. They also said that on the call, they explained it and I acknowledged the explanation and no further questions were asked, so they ended the call. This is completely untrue!!!! They then proceeded to delete my review, ensuring that their rating on Feefo remains an average of 4 stars, which I haven't seen on any other review site btw.

Have just submitted a complaint, because they are deleting real reviews of genuine bad experiences, to make themselves look better and to prevent new customers from making an informed decision. Completely immoral.

Disgraceful company, avoid at all costs!

Absolute disgrace of an insurance company, dishonest and don’t care about their customers.
Bought a new car a few days ago, checked on Axa’s website to make sure they could cover it and they could, for less than my current car!
However when I called to transfer the insurance it was a different story. It had to go through underwriters who’ve decided to refuse to insure it after I had checked insurance and purchased the car.
It’s not a sports car or modified, it’s a standard diesel saloon family car, and I have a clean licence with full no claims. They could not give me a reason for refusal and I’m now left with a car I cannot insure.
For the record the lady I spoke with was very helpful it was beyond her control but the underwriters would want to have a word with themselves.
I’ve been with them for 3 years now in which time they’ve increased my premium which I let slide.
Tried to call their complaints department to try get it sorted out but that number doesn’t work! Very convenient!
Absolute disgrace of a company and I’ll not be renewing with them. Avoid at all costs!

AXA Insurance: Dishonest, Delayed, and Disgraceful Service

My experience with AXA Insurance has been nothing short of infuriating. After my car was hit by someone insured with them, the claims process was deliberately dragged out. They took 2 months just to pay for the Garda report after receiving the payment and blatantly lied about when they took action. It was clear that unless I was constantly chasing them, they wouldn’t lift a finger to move things forward.

This level of incompetence and dishonesty has caused irreparable damage to the reputation of their company in my eyes. I was so fed up that I canceled my home insurance with them and switched to Allianz.

I will never consider AXA for any kind of insurance again. Absolutely disgraceful.

Just cancelled my home insurance…

Just cancelled my home insurance policy. Renewal quote was extortionate €609 (after no claims discount) with crazy increase. Best offer was a €60 reduction that would still have meant a premium of €558 on a standard 3 bed semi. Moved to Allianz who gave me identical level of cover for €360. There is no reward for years of customer loyalty with AXA. Avoid.

Very Poor Communication-Terrible Company

In May 2023, I was attacked unprovoked, and my car was vandalised to 2600 Euros worth of damage; after 16 months, I finally received a reply only when I explained the culprit had paid monies to me for the damage.Stay clear of AXA in Ireland please.

Terrible company and my score should be zero .

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Waited for over one year to get a case, which was none of my fault and no claim was made, settled. Case is settled now but AXA keeps drawing double the money every month instead of compensating me for the excess I have paid so far this year. When ringing up I get told every time that it will be fixed within a few days, but nothing happens! Never again, avoid!

VERY POOR

If 0 stars were an option , this is what I would give AXA for their pet policy. Read their T&C very carefully and you will find that their pet policy is very bias in their favor & will do anything to wriggle out of paying a claim , including taking comments from a vet as a clinical diagnosis . Appalling experience

Rang today for a Better price on my renewal ! Having being a customer for over 15 years with zero claims . Absolutely zero loyalty to their customers ! Lowered the overpriced insurance by 50€ which I could get in their offices myself if I asked ! Listened to the usual scripted chat from customer advisor Lynne who was unhelpful and dismissive and couldn’t care less if I renewed or not ! Moved my insurance to Chil insurance who were the upmost professional, friendly and wanted to give you the best deal!

Just off the phone to Axa as I’m late…

Just off the phone to Axa as I’m late on making my monthly payments but honestly couldn’t work with nicer people and the understanding of being a single mum and times are hard but I was given a month to clear my outstanding bill. When I explained my circumstances of just not having a bank to put the money through and had to wait for my father to put the money in my bank etc it wasn’t a problem!! I’ll definitely be staying with Axa they’ve been my insurance from the start and with the way they handled things today I’ve no intentions of ever changing. Times aren’t easy and it’s nice having a company understand this. Thank you very much Axa.

"I've had the displeasure of engaging with this company, and it's been an unmitigated disaster. Their customer service is abysmal, with no phone support and ignored emails. It's astonishing that a financial services company in this day and age relies on cheques, rather than direct bank transfers. My experience with a claim for escaped water damage has been a protracted and frustrating ordeal, with the company consistently creating unnecessary hurdles. I strongly caution against using their services. sincerely had a bitter experience dealing with this platform but can across a good alternative via Instant Plus. They are trustworthy.

Don't waste your time

First time with AXA car insurance, won't be entertaining a quote from them again. Policy started 24th July 2024 all required documents uploaded on their site 15th July 2024 but they keep sending me emails saying my policy will be cancelled if I don't upload these documents, spoke to an uninterested customer service agent reading from his script stating they haven't received these documents even though I've done my part and sent them and the issue is on their side. No apology or anything just reading the same lines from his script. Absolute joke of a Company won't be coming back next year or any other year and would advise anyone else stay away

Where to begin with these clowns

Where to begin with these clowns. Not my insurance provider but someone crashed into me so I decided to handle it myself rather than go through my insurance, big mistake.
Utter incompetence! Everyone covers for everyone and nothing gets done. Management is MIA. I hope I never have to call that phone number again.

Absolutely shocking experience

The treatment I received from Axa after my car was stolen was absolutely shocking!! My car was recovered crashed into a ditch and it’s taken nearly 3 weeks for them to pick my car up from the recovery yard and assess it. I received a phone call almost 3 weeks later stating that my car is a complete write off and that they will not be compensating me as the window of my home was left on the latch, and this is how the keys to the vehicle were obtained. I am paying them an extortionate amount for fully comprehensive insurance as a young driver and they are refusing to provide any cover whatsoever. I will be requesting a full refund for the remaining 8 months of my policy and changing insurance providers ASAP. Please avoid this company at all costs - they have essentially made me feel like I am at fault when I was the victim of a crime. I am absolutely appalled by this experience as I thought Axa were a reputable insurance company!!

JUDE was the best and deserves praise forr how he helped me .

Myself and my family have been with Axa over 30 years and I had recently lost some respect for them but a gentleman called JUDE that I was lucky to deal with this morning has brought my faith and trust back. Jude was professional, understanding and he alone has given me faith back in humanity. If only others took a leaf out of his book and be present and listen to the customer dealing with big companies would be a while lot better. I can not thank him enough and I hope you get the recognition you so deserve .
I hope your bosses see this Jude thank you your are a great person .
