Paid £20 delivery for express shipping
Paid £20 delivery for express shipping, yet goods arrived late. After intervention from customer service, the delivery fee was refunded, so at least some action was taken. Would still have preferred the delivery on time, but at least they are trying to make good.

Premium Prices, Poor Quality, and No Responsibility Taken

One of the worst customer experiences I have ever had.
After more than a year of trying to resolve an issue with a pair of Axel Arigato sneakers, all I received was conflicting information, endless back-and-forth communication, and a complete refusal to take responsibility.
The shoes were sold as a premium product at a premium price, yet the inner heel lining completely deteriorated while the exterior remains in near-perfect condition. Despite this obvious contrast, Axel Arigato concluded from photographs alone that the damage was simply “wear and tear.” No physical inspection was carried out, yet they were quick to dismiss any possibility of a material or manufacturing defect. ★☆☆☆☆
What is even more disappointing is the way responsibility was handled. I was directed to Selfridges, spent additional time and money pursuing the matter, and after receiving assurances that a solution could be considered, I was ultimately left with nothing. Axel Arigato then stated that because the shoes were purchased through a retailer, the matter was not their responsibility.
Most concerning was their admission that even if the shoes had been purchased directly from Axel Arigato, they still would not have considered this a valid defect claim. In other words, a premium shoe falling apart internally while the outside remains almost new is apparently considered acceptable product performance.
For a brand that markets itself as premium and luxury, I expected quality, durability, and customer care. Instead, I experienced poor product longevity, over a year of wasted time, and a customer service process focused on rejecting responsibility rather than helping the customer.
I will not be purchasing from Axel Arigato again, and based on my experience, I would strongly advise potential customers to think carefully before spending their money with this brand. Premium prices should come with premium quality and accountability. Unfortunately, neither was present in my case.
