Dan (of Dan Everitt Photography) was excellent as a photographer and the session itself was enjoyable with great photographs. However, it was a little difficult to find the studio (I recall it was... See more

We had a test photoshoot at the Manchester studio which was a great experience! Trevor was our photographer, he worked amazing with May, was full of information for us and made our first photoshoot run smoothly. We are excited to see which jobs come through the agency!
We had a lovely experience at our shoot really friendly & talkative at the end of the shoot would definitely recommend!
Dan the photographer made Mehran feel very comfortable and he was able to get the best out of Mehran
Photoshoot ran on time
A fabulous first experience for Mehran and he cannot wait to have many more :)
Trevor instantly made us feel at ease, he was very friendly and welcoming. A quick explanation of what to expect and the shoot commenced. He was absolutely amazing with our daughter, she was very settled - giving lots of smiles and blowing lots of bubbles! Made our first shoot very enjoyable, thank you x
Had another photoshoot with Trevor. He is very kind, patient and understanding. My nephew also come along too which Trevor was also very welcoming. Studio was clean and warm!
We have a great photo shoot with Trevor, he made us feel welcomed and our baby loved interacting with him. It was a great experience and we could see how well our baby did during the shoot and were able to look at some photos straight away.
Dan, the photographer has been amazing for both my 7 years old and my 3 months old baby. He’s brilliant of what he’s doing. Both of them enjoyed their test shoot. Dan also made us very comfortable and didn’t rush us, specially with my baby when we arrived that he was still sleeping and I need to feed before to start. Dan is very accommodating. It was an amazing experience.
Event was very well organised, we were kept informed of each and every step of what was going to happen and the team were very lovely both with myself and my child!
Please read this, because majority of reviews are from people having done the test shoot, which means they are at the beginning of their journey with baby models. I am now 6 months on from that and will say that it goes downhill from there.
I can't say that Baby Models is a scam, because I haven't got any evidence of that. However I can say that it's a terrible service. I was stupid enough to not do any research into the subject, and to make too quick decisions, but in my defence I was a first time mum juggling a newborn and too sleep deprived to be making those kinds of financial decisions. Looking back I don't even know why I cared to put my baby forward for baby modelling, I think I was just trying to make sense of the post partum haze and thought it would be super cute if he ended up on a nappy box. Fact is, it was a waste of time and money. It didn't break the bank, but it still lost me just shy of £400 and I'm convinced I'm definitely not getting any of that back.
This review can be broken into two. One, Dan Everitt photography. He's a lovely guy and clearly has talent. He's a good character around kids. I can tell he's passionate about his work, but in all honesty from a moralistic stand point I think he'd be better off stacking his karma points and breaking away from these modelling agencies. Dan, if you read this, please go back to honest work - I know you need to pay the bills somehow but this shouldn't have to be it. The fact that the photographers are so nice is the only reason Baby Models gets any good rep or money. I went to the "free" photoshoot knowing that the actual products wouldn't be free, but was convinced to pay any way by Dan's charisma and the carrot and stick allure of being on the "A-list"- essentially a pay to win set up where you're drawn into the idea that you're basically going to make the money back on assignments, which is all I wanted anyway because I don't need a famous baby. The deal I was offered also caught me out, because it was less than I expected to pay for that many photos. They are very clean and professional photos. Unfortunately they aren't photos that I would of personally commissioned; they're too heavily edited, to the point where in some of them he looks like a doll, and I don't look back on them fondly like I do with home photos, which are completely natural and bring back memories, so in my mind I paid pretty much for the privilege of being on the "A-list", under the misconception that this would improve my chances of getting an assignment, and Dan was such a trustworthy guy... I'm going to be making excuses till my grave, honestly. But at the end of the day I was just stupid.
Second, the agency itself is dog doo. Past the actual test photoshoot nothing happens. I got 4 "casting calls" but these are actually just automated emails dished out to everyone that vaguely fits the criteria and even though I put ourselves forward for all of them I never received a response. To be totally fair on the agency they are explicit about the fact that they cannot guarantee work, and I knew from a start that there was a chance that nothing would come from this, the only thing that makes me uneasy is just how shoddy everything is. The amount of typos and grammatical errors in the emails and on the website is shocking. The company doesn't respond to emails at all- I don't email them often, but I had to approach them for a problem one day where I couldn't log into my account (it was a weird day where the webpage had totally changed after being inaccessible for a couple of days, and after the apparent revamp my log in details were no longer recognised, and to add to the strangeness just in case I'd accidently gone onto a copy cat page I then googled the agency and they were no longer Sponsored like before and the only IP I could find on the search results.. was in Japanese. And still lead to the same broken Web page. So I emailed them, never got a response, and a few days later the website went back to normal and I could access my portfolio again). I also emailed them once with a question about one of the casting calls listing two different locations and it was unclear which one it was, again I never received a response. When you aren't selected for a casting call there's no feedback at all, not even an automated "Sorry, you didn't get picked this time" kind of thing. It honestly just feels like bots chuck these things out and from my perspective I have no way of even knowing if these are real assignments.
This isn't an accusation. I'm also not disproving positive experiences that people have had. Also, I understand the limitations that an agency has in providing work, and perhaps we might still get a job. But I doubt it. I've lost the motivation to update my portfolio. It's a lot of work for no reward. Just enjoy your kids without predatory agencies encouraging you to objectify them for money.
Trevor was amazing with my baby boy. He explained every part of the process and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. The photos are great, would highly recommended!
The welcoming to the studio was lovely and the professionalism of Dan was great
Dan was great with my little one and got some amazing shots!
Trevor, our photographer was fantastic. He helped us through the process and answered a lot of questions that my wife and I had, and made us feel totoally at ease. He was fantastic with our daughter and we have some amazing pictures. It was a lovely experience and we hope to see him again.
We really enjoyed the photo-shoot with Trevor. Very polite, professional and welcoming. Our son had lots of fun while doing the photo-shoot. Trevor was very interactive and entertaining which kept the attention of my little boy. We are really happy with the photos we have received and excited to add to the portfolio. Thank you!
Great experience, the photographer at the test shoot was great with my son and brought out the child model in him, very impressed!
We were made to feel very welcome. It was a lovely, friendly studio and Dan the photographer was fantastic at capturing our little boys photos. We felt very relaxed from start to finish and were given great advice on what outfits would look best on camera.
I had some reservations about my little one doing a photoshoot but she absolutely loved the experience. The photographer was wonderful, clearly very experienced and knowledgable and did everything he could to put me, my partner and our little one at ease and make the experience enjoyable for all of us.
Dan was fantastic he made knew how to interact with Lara-Belle without being overbearing and making her feel overwhelmed. We have gone for the higher package so we can do another photoshoot a little further down the line.
Amazing test shoot with Trevor. Very polite, professional and welcoming, made us all feel very relaxed as soon as we arrived. Incredible photographs for our girls portfolios too.
This was our baby boys first experience at having professional photos done, it was an amazing experience and Dan was so good with our son he didn’t stop smiling for the whole shoot. We were all made very comfortable in the studio and very welcoming would highly recommend baby and child model agency. Very professional service and very trustworthy.
