I wore my Acorn moc slippers to death, literally. My replacements came a day earlier than expected, cheapest price online, same slipper only brand-new and fluffy. I’m a happy girl!

Thsese gloves are amazing, a must for crack climbing.. Very durable and comfortable, Its a lifesaver for the knuckles.

Copied from my e mail to Mike M. Owner - I am writing you to express my extreme frustration with your company and to advise that experiences such as this need to be shared with others and all that visit your website or consider doing business with you.

So this past Saturday I was shopping for a pair of Astral boat shoes and found your website which was offering the Astral Loyal at a 25% discount, that was great, however after trying to purchase them several times online unsuccessfully I registered thinking that was required in order to make the purchase, not so. So I called the phone number on the web site, hoping to get a person to take the order, NO luck as you are closed, so I left a message. Today Tuesday at 5:45PM EDT still no return call, so I called you and went to the web site….. I reached Jenny in customer service, oh the shoes are now $90.00 the sale is over. So I explain all of the aforementioned and that’s met with the sale price is not available any longer, then she says we usually offer the discount the day following the sale but you know today is Tuesday and this is much more difficult now……….. so I ask will you or wont you honor the price. And there is hesitation so I ask for the owner or President's name and e mail address. .. oh then that request is met with yes we’ll honor the sale price, at that point I don't need to save a few bucks I’ll buy them a full price locally!

Trust me the $25 dollars I would have saved is no big deal, but your web site that would not allow me to make the purchase, your company that failed to return my phone call, and then I’m handed a rash of BS from Jenny, that is all I need to know about BackCountry Gear.

I ordered two pairs of Smartwool PHD Pro Mountaineer socks on clearance. Even with shipping costs, I saved $20.

I used backcountry gear to buy climbing shoes in a size that was not available on backcountry.com or other typical outlets. The order with shipped quickly and delivered via usps. I did not have to exchange or return anything so cannot comment on that process.
