ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE. COMPANY ONLY CONTACTED ME ONCE I POSTED A BAD REVIEW. BLAMED ME FOR NOT ENTERING MY FULL ADDRESS, EVEN THOUGH THE POSTCODE AND DOOR NUMBER WERE PROVIDED, WHICH WOULD BE ENOUGH IN THE UK. I ordered a place of ivory cufflinks…
I ordered a place of ivory cufflinks for our 14th wedding anniversary. I paid for 1-2 postage which didn’t make the deadline. When I raised it I was told the order could not be found. When I questioned it, I was reprimanded to immediately for doing so pointing out ‘technology happened’. My order was simply cancelled. Having read other negative reviews, it would appear the general theme is that Chris is always on his high horse and rather fancies himself as a mark of excellence in customer service. He lacks basic etiquette in dealing with customers which clearly shows his inability to be a true businessman.
It’s not about the positive reviews it’s actually about the negative reviews I’d worry about as even one is a mark on one’s business is a sign of failure and not striving to hold a good reputation.
Very pleased now he didn’t get my business

Because Afaya, it's technology and believe it or not, technology can go wrong...... You can see from the order confirmation there is no product showing, it's very odd.
However, I've found your emails quite aggressive and there's no need for it, so with that in mind I have issued you a full refund and you can purchase elsewhere.
My emails were not rude and simply because I didn’t greet you didn’t mean I was aggressive. Same token by saying ‘ kind regards’ doesn’t make you politer.
there is no justification how you treated me and the long protracted email re-informed everything I said about you being or a high horse.
All you had to do was look at my order and let me know what had happened. Refund request was reasonable. You addressed it in a wholly inappropriate way.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with this company. I placed an order for a pair of cufflinks that were shown as in stock on their website. A few days later, I received an email — not even an apology — just a notification that the item wasn’t actually in stock and that I was being refunded. No explanation, no offer of an alternative, just a refund out of nowhere.
This was supposed to be a personalized gift for a birthday party, and the way this was handled ruined the plan entirely. When I contacted customer service to ask what happened, instead of being understanding or helpful, I was lectured in a rude tone about how I should have ordered earlier if I wanted it on time. Excuse me? The website clearly stated the item was available. How is this my fault?
The representative’s tone was dismissive and completely lacking in empathy. I felt like I was being blamed for their poor stock management and misleading website. No customer should be treated this way. Honestly, it was one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve ever had. I won’t be ordering from them again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them too.

I recently purchased some cufflinks from this website. The product itself was nice, delivery time as expected however the engraving a bit small and not exactly what I wanted therefore I requested to return the item.
Even though the product listing stated Free returns on all UK orders, it turns out that wasn’t the case, and after contacting the company I was informed that the item is non returnable because it is supposedly a “personalised item” (merely by the fact it’s engraved even though no personalisation was requested, and the item was purchased exactly as it’s listed on the website). I would understand if I’d requested a name to be engraved on the item, that would be non-returnable, but I hadn’t.
I was disappointed that after several back and forth emails (and eventually no response from the company), no return or even partial return was offered, even when I pointed out that the product listing states “free returns on all Uk orders”, it doesn’t state “free returns on all UK orders but only if we decide it’s eligible for a return”. By their definition this item would never be eligible for a return as it’s engraved… so why advertise it as eligible for free UK returns!
Personally I think the product description is very misleading, the returns policy is open to interpretation and I would advise anyone purchasing from this website, to query whether the item can be returned before they purchase it, because I didn’t realise that an item which I haven’t personalised in any way is apparently classed as personalised!
UPDATE: Following my review the company has now removed the statement of “Free returns on all UK orders” from the product listing, so they clearly agree with my review that it was misleading yet still no acknowledgement or refund to me!

Confusing and Deceitful Website
Having read some of the worrying reviews on here, I decided I had better check before ordering a set of the rower engraved cufflinks. Despite the product description reading 'Free returns on all UK orders', the person on the phone clarified that this was not the case for this product. When I asked why the description would list this as true when it in fact wasn't, she replied that this was 'just the way the listing is written'. It doesn't seem to be a default listing feature, as the majority of other products do not state this, just a select few where it has been added, but actually doesn’t apply - I wonder why…
But the deceit doesn't end there! Just a few minutes earlier I had called to clarify some other details about the product. I questioned how quickly the engraving could be completed and then the product sent out, to which the lady replied that given 'it is a machine with a needle' that does the engraving, it is very quick and could be sent today. Great to hear that the 'design that we've handcrafted' will be 'carried out by an experienced and professional engraver' - pressing a button on a machine!
I'm hugely relieved I checked these details and discovered the product was not as it was described, as I thus managed to avoid the experience of dealing with Chris (see plenty of other reviews). A business person who claims to 'want to keep customers happy', but instead of dealing with bad reviews, simply gets upset and pays a different company to handle reviews, is someone I am thankful to have not done business with.
EDIT: Absolutely baffling customer service to further support other reviews on here - not answering the review just rambling about something else entirely.
Thankfully I HAVEN’T bought any products from you, I am reviewing your website and telephone customer service. I rang up your company at 12:05 and 12:14 yesterday to clarify some of the details of the ROWER ENGRAVED CUFFLINKS, and in both instances discovered that your website was plain and simply lying about the service you could provide. 1) A machine engraved item is GCSE level D&T at best, and hardly ‘handcrafting’. 2) False advertising free returns on a product.

Shocking customer service and false…
Shocking customer service and false advertising. I purchased an engraved ring for a gift. Ring didn’t fit despite me measuring according to website. I ordered a bigger size and sent the original ring back requesting a refund. I was told that I couldn’t be refunded as ring was personalised. Ring was not personalised in any way but engraved as advertised on website. Chris Lee was incredibly rude and disrespectful as others have stated. He tried to bribe me with a partial refund if I left a glowing feedback on Trust Pilot! Unbelievable. I ended up having to pay postage to get original ring back.
I can’t believe anyone runs a business with this attitude and behaviour. I would avoid at all costs. Only wish I’d read the other awful feedback about this company and this man before I ordered.

Awful Customer Service
I ordered a pair of personalised cufflinks with an additional grey box and paid extra for speedy delivery to arrive before christmas. When the order arrived (before christmas) it was missing the additional grey box. I immediately emailed and asked for this to be sent out which they did. I then got a slip through the post (after christmas) which said the sender did not pay the delivery in full and there was an additional £7 to pay. I paid the fee and this turned out to be for the grey box. This was extremely disappointing so I decided to email with the expectation to receive some money back. I emailed on 08/01/25 and received a reply on the 09/01/25 asking about the stickers on the parcel to which I replied to on 11/01/25 then did not hear anything until I called the company on 23/01/25. When I called I spoke to a gentleman called Chris Lee who I found to be very rude, he said “well, have you ever made a mistake at work and are you expected to pay money for it?”. I tried to explain that I was prepared to drop it initially as I understand christmas pressures but then I got the additional charge. He ended the conversation by saying he would sort it - it is now 28/01/25 and I have heard nothing.

Beautifully engraved ring, which was delivered in good time after ordering.
Very helpful and accommodating team
After my initial mistake of putting a much too detailed design of my family crest to be engraved on a signet ring, Chris and the team were very accommodating in allowing me to send back the ring (which did not turn out as I had hoped) and work out a compromise to create a new one with a much simpler design at half of the original price. I would recommend being absolutely sure of the design you submit initially as I had hoped and asked for mock ups from the team but understandably at this time of year they were very busy and so they could not do so and the ring ended up being engraved with the exact design I had submitted which was too detailed and busy.
As mentioned though, Chris was exceptionally accommodating and communicative and we were able to work out a compromise and hopefully my new and improved signet ring will arrive very soon.
