The company is great at the start very helpful can't do enough for you but the after care is shocking once they have your money their attitudes and the way they talk to you completely change
They tell you one thing and then when they get it wrong tell you you have to pay again

Overall good experience. However we were told fitting would be first in the morning but the fitter hadn't read the instructions fully so it did not happen till mid morning. As it was a bathroom blind this was slightly inconvenient.

You would be mad to touch them with a barge pole. We ordered in May and had the second set removed on 10th Sept as they still did not fit and were between 1 & 2 inches short. When closed the bottom rail was up at 45% off the windowsill. Furthermore, the pelmets fell off and damaged our bronzes on the windowsill. They would not even allow us to retain them until we could organise replacements. It was poor customer service particularly considering it was not a fault of our making. They also missed or cancelled several appointments. The only saving grace was the fitters and office staff were very sympathetic.

I couldn't recommend using Baileys Blinds based on my recent experience
The local Estimator, Dave, was very efficient and helpful as were both fitters.
The failure was with the system and how it was managed.
The information from the Estimator wasn't used correctly by the factory in Scotland, or given to the fitters in Spennymoor, so the agreed fitting date was wrongly booked.
I'd moved furniture in preparation, only to be told at 8.30am that my blinds hadn't even been made yet !!
They arrived a week late, but one was 171 deep instead of 117, so there was another week's delay.
I'd trustingly paid upfront which I came to regret.
I made countless attempts to contact Graham, the Manager who seemed to be forever out of the office, filling in for staff shortages, preventing him actually managing.
I patiently dealt with Liz, in the Scottish office, who was supportive throughout this shambolic process. She repeatedly apologised and was very understanding of my complaints.
When Graham eventually rang me, he offered a refund of £40 on an order of almost £1000 ! This had to be sanctioned by ''a Director.''
I was shocked but reluctantly accepted, just to end the frustration of dealing with Baileys.
However I was appalled to then discover one of the slats in my patio door blinds, was made up of two short pieces sewn together across the middle !!
(I've tried to insert a photo here. )
I immediately emailed Graham with photos , asking for a prompt explanation and further refund.
Although a replacement piece came after another week, I waited two more weeks but didn't hear from Graham.
Finally I spoke to Liz again, but she'd clearly been instructed by someone to shut me down by saying :-
Graham had refunded £40, they had dealt with all the errors, and ''we aren't perfect.''
They certainly aren't, but they're perfectly happy to take your money !
So far the blinds seem fine, but from my experience can I have confidence they'll prove of lasting quality ?
Baileys had a reputation as a Newcastle run family business, but are now a subsidiary in a web of companies based in Stirling, owned by a Scottish family.
Please think twice about using Baileys.
I wish I had.

We have used Bailey's Blinds ever since we bought our first house in the 70s. In those days there was a shop in Gosforth where the samples could be seen and spare parts bought. Sadly the shops have gone but the service is still as good. We had a vertical and a venetian fitted this week with the usual professionalism.
