Bairstow Eves Carlton, Nottingham

The lovely ladies at Bairstow Eves in Carlton were amazing. Katie, Chloe and Zoe went above and beyond to sell my house. They were very efficient, very proactive and extremely accommodating. Highly recommend them to sell your property.

Would not encourage anyone to use Conveyencing Direct that were suggested by Bairstow Eves. Use an independent, this is not a reflection on Bairstow Eves as an Estate Agent.

I had the pleasure of using Bairstow Eves in Nottingham and I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and efficiency. Their lettings team went above and beyond to make the process smooth and hassle-free. They were always available to answer questions, provided clear and helpful guidance, and ensured everything was handled with care and attention to detail. If you’re looking for a team that’s genuinely supportive and highly effective, I would definitely recommend Sophie, Darcy, and the rest of the Bairstow Eves lettings team.

Bairstow eves Coleshill Branch were pivotal in helping us move despite 3 breakdowns in the chain they found us new buyers and completed within 6 weeks. A big shout out to David Lockwood and Sam who were non stop with helping us. Highly recommended

We initially contacted this estate agency through Rightmove for a property valuation, and they were quick to respond, which led us to book an appointment. After the call, we received several follow-up messages confirming the scheduled time, including one on the day of the appointment. Unfortunately, no one showed up.

I called the Romford branch directly, but only reached an answering machine. I left my details, expecting a call back, but that never happened. I even followed up with an email and checked my junk mail just in case, but received no response.

This experience was highly disappointing. The lack of communication and professionalism was frustrating, and I found them to be very unreliable. I would advise others to avoid this agency.

Total failure. Rude and unprofessional staff. Very few viewing of the house. Promised communication failed to happen as the norm. Poor quality photographs of house and near illiterate description of house and garden. Agents appear to be in league with the one buyer to get a cut down price so the house could be rented out by them. If you want to sell a home in Hucknall try another agent.

Superb communication and prompt responses from Eilish. Dealt with my concern about a property that is managed by yourselves with care and empathy.

Moved out of a rented property 29/07/2024.
Chased and chased for updates about my deposit being returned only to keep being informed we are awaiting details from the landlady. According to my tenancy agreement I should have been informed within 10 days of any ‘proposed’ deductions. 3 weeks on and no further forward. If I was in breech of the tenancy agreement they would be quick to act but when it’s the other side.. nothing!

If I could give less than one star for this company I would! Use this company at your own peril. They sell you the dream in the form of a complete in house package where communication is faster and easier, they make an already stressful situation a whole lot worse, there is no comunication unless it suits them, they leave you for weeks and weeks with no progress report or chase up, it took almost 7 months from start to finish for a 2 chain sell and purchase, the solicitors are allocated to you and then changed and then changes back. nobody knows what is going on , they lose and do not forward paperwork and ask repeatedly the same questions about the same thing! its hard to work out who they are actually acting for. you do all the leg work and then they reap the cash, solicitor did not pay the estate agent and then over two weeks after completion they come asking you for a balance that you thought you had paid, the online portal is never updated, we nearly ran out of time to exchange and complete, I could go on.. think on before chosing these

Bairstow Eves in Wanstead have been fantastic in every respect in the process of letting our flat in the area recently. Elaine and Adam are always quick to respond to queries, helpful in explaining issues and clearly have a very keen instinct about prospective tenants. They know the area really well and are always available to help. I recommend this professional company .

East Croydon branch. I was met with a smile from day one. Doug provided me with detailed viewings and made sure to answer all my questions properly. I am very happy with the service provided by the Bairstoweves East Croydon office - a professional team that leaves nothing to chance.

I have just removed my property with Bairstow eves in Caterham based on my recent experience I would not recommend them. Initially communication was good with regular updates however that was only for the first 2 weeks. I hardly had any viewings on my property and of the 3 viewings in 8 weeks that I did have I had to chase for feedback which I would have assumed would be standard practice for an estate agent to provide. It seemed they were not very motivated or interested in my sale and they blamed the low viewing numbers on ‘the market’ and ‘ the election’ . Whilst I know both of these things have had an effect on the market it seemed that this was an excuse being given to me due lack of proactivity. There didn’t really seem to be any proactive action being taken to insight any interest. I asked for my viewing figures on Rightmove and Zoopla and I am still waiting for this . I was told that all of their flat viewing numbers were low.
Apart from listing my property on the sites there was hardly anything else that they did. Communication was little to non-existent, and I often felt when calling for updates I was being a ‘bother’ to them and was often rushed off the phone. I didn’t feel I was being listened to throughout the process. On the couple of occasions that I did pop into the branch I didn’t experience a very friendly environment and the times when I did call there was never really any update, and I was often told things like ‘oh someone did enquire but ill have to check and get back to you if there has been anything else’. This was quite a regular response from them.
Due to low viewing numbers, I asked if they felt there was any changes that could be made and only at that point was it suggested that we move pictures around and change the property description and even after this I had to chase for feedback to see if this improved anything. I would have thought that making changes etc would be something that I wouldn’t have to push myself.
I feel I wasted time being listed with them and they did not make the experience an enjoyable one. I only wish I had done more research on other agents in the area and not listed with them and I would encourage others to shop around before listing with them as this has set me back.

Professional, efficient and friendly service. All the staff at the Rainham Branch of Bairstow Eves have been outstanding and a pleasure to deal with.
I originally used a lesser known estate agents, who did have cheaper fees, but I received a very poor service and consequently with no sale of my property. You really do get what you pay for.
Being very apprehensive with estate agents in general, I decided to give Rainham (Essex) Bairstow Eves branch a try.
They were absolutely brilliant and I cannot fault any of their staff.

Don’t use

Partial rent & deposit is still not paid to me in more than 100 days after leaving the rented property on 31st March 2024. I had to leave the rented property early to move to mortgaged house. I have paid them 1500 GBP their non-sense early contract exit and property ad fees; still they are shamelessly keeping my partial rent (paid rent for full month April) and deposit of 2000 GBP, which is nearly 3500 GBP. I was not expecting their service to be the worst in the market. I am going to report to property ombudsman for sure. NO ONE SHOULD USE THEIR DISGUSTING SERVICES.

Bairstow Eves has been managing my buy-to-let property for a few years now, and I have recently entrusted them with another property in Croydon. The entire team, led by Scott, is amazing—courteous and professional. They possess excellent knowledge of the local demand and know how to make a property attractive for renters. I am so impressed with their service that I have decided to hand over the rest of my portfolio to them as it becomes available.

Selling a family home is stressful enough, without encounter the lack of professionalism. We used Barstow and Eves Tamworth Staffordshire as our representatives. So disappointed with the lack of communication. We never received our agency agreement, or any phone calls or emails regarding the progress, The sale fell through after four months of them not chasing the vendor and giving us the opportunity to have other perspective buyers. We are so annoyed that they have wasted our time, when they should have been acting on our behalf and we have to start again. Would totally not recommend.

My husband and I saw a number of wonderful properties to rent listed under Bairstow and Eves in South Woodford area. When we finally found a property we liked, Elaine and Adam helped us in the negotiation process and enabled a seamless check-in into the new home.

Ms. Sophie was so helpful throughout the process and she was so kind and supportive to clarify my small concerns promptly. Absolutely she is an asset for the company.
