I have tried them all, Balance by Bistro MD, Freshly, and New Vision. In my opinion, you win hands down! Better selection, better tasting meals, better pricing and free shipping!
Very interesting that you are based in Florida, however, my meals are shipped from your kitchen in Dayton, Nevada about forty miles from Reno!
Keep up the good selection and add more which I know you will continue!

Love the meals. Full of flavor and a balanced meal. So easy for a fast pace lifestyle and great if you are on a diet. This takes all the stress away from counting calories.

I threw away four new meals that were not good, but I kept the ones I liked. I tried to eat new meals so that I can vary food choices, but I will remain true to the meals that are best! Thank you!

First and foremost, Balance by BistroMD works. I’ve lost 10 pounds in the last month. And the food is pretty good. That should give them 5 stars.

Second, everyone you will deal with at the company is extremely pleasant. That should result in those 5 stars being carved in stone.

BUT…
Their inventory management is terrible. They update what is available on Mondays but there are times when I order late because I am sure they haven’t updated yet. Last week, for example, there were 81 lunches/dinners available. This week there were 66. Plenty of entrees had sold out but not a single one was added (although a few snacks were.) I have diabetes which dropped the number I could choose from to 38.

As a result, I have to spend much too much time every week trying to find enough items I’d like to order. (This is what brings it down to 4 stars.)

As I said, the food is pretty good. Out of the 38 entrees I have ordered so far, 12 (32%) have been excellent and I order them every week they are available. 15 (39%) were good enough to reorder, some frequently. While I would rate the remainder as “edible” I know they might well be someone else’s favorite. Not everyone likes the same things.

I do have a problem with lack of variety in the side dishes. I know any diet plan will include lots of broccoli and cauliflower and maybe the large number of dishes with okra is a result of the company being based in the South. But I know there are squashes, delicious ones, other than zucchini. (The menu also includes plenty of green beans, carrot and potatoes.)

Edit: I wrote the above in April. I had been using Balance (the a la carte version) for a couple of months. It's now December. I order from Silver Cuisine by bistroMD now (the same food but the program has an AARP tie-in). My one major complaint was the inventory management and that got fixed a few months ago (I waited to make sure it wasn't a fluke). The food is still excellent and the selection is plentiful. (I'm talking about the lunch/dinner menu. There are quite a few breakfasts I like but I'm relying on them less. The only snacks I love are the cheesecakes.)

There are cheaper programs elsewhere and I've tried several of them. The food is, by and large, edible but that's not good enough after a couple of months. I never lasted this long using any of them.

And I've lost over 50 pounds.

Tasty meals and great customer service. My only downside so far is that you plan out your meals, get the order placed and then they can't deliver certain items. Most people are preparing meals for certain days and require the exact number of meals. So instead of just issuing a refund, how about allowing customers to select alternate items or allow 1 or 2 backup items on the initial order.

If you can't trust your meal delivery for balanced meals, you will deviate from your diet.

I do love this company, but it seems like the chat people and I can never be on the same page. I ask a question about x and they answer about y. But on a whole great company to do business with.

I choose low sodium, low carb, low cal, heart friendly meals, and I am happy for the most part. However, I think the sodium is a bit high averaging between 350 mg to 550 mg per serving. Sometimes higher. I feel as though it should be lower. Just my opinion ....... Also, It seems as though there is a sale or a special emailed to me just after I place an order and receive it. Coincidence ? ? ? I don't know.

I’ve been ordering for about a month. I have had excellent service through customer online chat with any questions I’ve encountered. Food comes quickly and is very well insulated. I am so happy I decided to order the food. It has helped me tremendously on my journey to lose weight. The food is balanced with nutrients and portions are ample. If you can’t decide whether to order it, I encourage you to just try it for a week! You will be amazed at just how good your body feels!!! Thanks Bistro!

My last delivery came soaking wet with some food trays cracked and broken open and others with the cellophane sealer opened. All the food was defrosted.

We have been very happy with the meals from Balance Bistro; they are easy, tasty, shipping is on time, which makes it easy to plan. I like the fact that this company covers different issues, like for diabetic, losing weight, and etc. We also know that keeping them on hand is a big help when we are not sure what to cook, nor want to. Customer service also keeps me coming back. :-)

Great food on time delivery have lost 35 pounds in three months

The food is actually really good! I have liked almost every meal I've had. Delivery is quick, food is always frozen. Heats up well and tastes great.

They have made dieting so easy. The food is delicious and filling. I have been ordering their food weekly so I can cook hearty meals for my family and not have to worry about making a separate meal for myself while I am trying to slim down. The price is amazing. I spent more money on buying salads and grabbing healthy lunches for myself then having these meals waiting.

Thanks to y’all I have gotten a grasp on too much blood sugar. Everyone has particular tastes, and over the months I have developed my favorites. I do miss your BEEF STROGANOFF and hope you bring it back again soon. It is amazing how the dinners arrive still frozen, but every time they are perfect.

The food is great! More variety would make it even better.

Balance continues to provide the necessary flexibility needed for ordering. I like the flexibility of the food selections and the ability to increase/decrease my orders depending on what's going on in my real life.

The food is consistently well prepared and I like the ability to season it myself as needed. Breakfasts continue to be a plethora of choices so I am never bored Considering I never ate breakfast before, I look forward to the short prep time each morning.

Previous problems with shipping and breaking of plastic trays has not been a continuing problem, which pleases me immensely. The food itself is very good and it is helping me stick to my weight loss efforts, mainly by restricting carbs and including more protein. It is working. Thank you.

I especially love the breakfast meals but the lunch/dinner meals are good, too. So easy for a single guy to have decent food at a reasonable price without going to the grocery store and cooking.
