I have placed 3 or 4 orders now and really enjoyed the food. There were a couple that weren't my favorite but that's to be expected. The food arrives quickly and very well packaged. My only complaint might be the high shipping costs, since other companies ship free.

Great food, many choices, easy company to do business with.

I am really enjoying the meals that I get delivered from Balance by bistroMD. I live alone and travel a lot, which makes grocery shopping and meal prep a challenge. Ordering these meals has been so helpful. They save me time from having to shop and prepare meals. I get to eat healthy, balanced meals, and the best thing is that they taste so good. I bring the meals to work for lunch, and people always comment on how good my food smells and looks. I am so impressed and am not sure how they manage to provide such great meals that keep the quality through the freezing process. I am on my third order and about to order more. I have lost 5 pounds since starting to eat these meals. I look forward to eating them and find that I am satiated after eating them. I have been less likely to eat unhealthy snacks because I feel really good eating these healthy meals and it keeps me motivated to stay healthy. i also appreciate that I am not bound to making monthly commitments or minimum purchases.

The food is substantial, some is very good, some a little too spicy (hot). Very convenient, arrives frozen, well packaged.
I wish there was more plant based dinners, and most of all the use of grass fed beef and antibiotic/hormone free poultry. AND organic....Thank you, Connie Rodriguez

It took me a long time to find a healthy choice of frozen meals. I tend to be lazy about cooking, but know I need to eat a healthier selection of food than what is available in the local grocery. It's hard to find frozen meals that don't contain lots of additives that are not good for us. The food from Balance has been excellent, and I really enjoy them along with my family. Thank you Balance for your great food!!

Generally speaking, I have been pleased with my experience with BistroMD. The shipping is fast, and well done, and there is often a promotion on for free shipping, and coupons available -- which make it pretty affordable compared to their competitors. There are plenty of meal options to choose from, and new items get switched in and out regularly; which is great for variety. The portion sizes are pretty good; though I think a hungry man would find himself wanting more -- personally, I eat many small meals per day, so I'm not interested in feeling "stuffed".
Now, with regard to taste - there has certainly been some variance in my experience. I've deduced that the seasoning is often allocated to a single item in the meal (i.e: the protein) leaving the remaining sides rather bland. I've mediated this by ordering primarily "mixable" entrees, where all of the meal items can be stirred up into a stew-type situation --- I find this balances the spices. A few items I really enjoyed: the Western Egg Scramble, The Coconut Thai Chicken Curry, the Smoked Paprika Chicken, and the Beef Broccoli. A few I really didn't care for: the Pork Vindaloo, the Jambalaya (it was just "hot", but lacked that delicious pepper taste!) and the turkey meatball with lentil (sweet tomato sauce is not ideal). Recommendations for improvement: BistroMD, why do you shy away from garlic and onions? I think these two ingredients would go a long way to improving the savory profile of your dishes, without sacrificing the macros!

The service is excellent and the lunch and dinner entres are good. However, I can't really say the same about the breakfasts.

I've been eating first BistroMD, and now Balance, since 2011. Love the meals. They're satisfying and feel "real," rather than processed. They've helped me lose weight and retain that loss.

I love the food! It is a key factor in my weight loss plan. I appreciate the ability to narrow down your choices by what parameters you are using for your meals. For example, the diabetic options give you the choices with a certain number of carbs. My favorite is the Merlot Chicken meatballs.

Excellent quality chef-prepared meals at a reasonable price. Very tasty and great selection!

Good food, a little pricey, but the quality is worth it (in my opinion).
Food arrives in good condition, and keeps just fine while frozen.

The website is not so good. Placing orders is easy enough but I don't seem to get any email confirmation, and I cannot go online to look up past orders. If you order, be sure to save your printable receipt!

We highly recommend this program to everyone who asks! My husband and I have both had very good success losing weight and feeling healthier since joining BistroMD. The combination of portion control, high protein and low carbs works. It is also is teaching us how to make better food choices on our own. It is so simple, easy and convenient too. We are now beginning the process of moving over to the Balance services as we transition to our long term healthy eating life style. The entire experience has been great and any time we have had questions or concerns the customer service staff have been the best. Thank you!

I really enjoy the meals because they are fresh, easy to prepare, healthy, tasty and filling. It’s guilt free fast food. And I really like that you have options to customize your choices based on your dietary needs and restrictions.

Meals are good (although I have not tried any of the fish). Easy to order and very helpful.

I love these meals! I've been ordering meals for 4 months. I love that they are "real' food. No additives. The flavors are really good- much better than the way I cook. Restaurant quality. Some of my favorites are Salmon with Lemon Dijon Dressing. Mediterranean Chicken Crepe, and everything with pulled pork. I also eat a lot of the frittatas. There is a great variety of meals all with excellent flavors. I have health problems that make it difficult for me to shop for meals and to cook them. Having them delivered to my home is great. Most materials are recyclable which is important to me. The only drawback for me is the price. They are well worth the price as charged but it's a bit difficult on a fixed income. I've had to cut back on some other things. However, they often have specials with a percentage off and free delivery so that helps. I highly recommend them.

I love the flexibility of the balance program. I can order as often or seldom as I like. No pressure and customer service has always been extremely helpful.

The food is very good, but my concern is whether it is non-GMO. This is very important as far as quality because when I prepare my own meals, I make sure it's mostly organic and not treated with hormones, pesticides etc . Balance Bistro should do more to let customers know the quality of their food because otherwise don't feel safe eating. There is no info. on this so I can only assume it is not the best quality.
