We have had recurring issues with our Banham alarm, CCTV and intercom system since installed seven years ago. Customer service is absolutely appalling: Massive queues on the phone, call backs never occur, chaser emails are sent into the void and not responded to for weeks on end. On the few occasions that I have actually managed to pin down someone in their after sales team, they are in complete denial and take no ownership of their service level short falls. I write this message as I am once again chasing down triple faults reported on our alarm, intercom and cctv systems some five weeks ago with chasers by phone and email having had no effect. I have so far spent 47m on the phone. Yet, we still pay above market service and maintenance costs. In fairness, their technicians are super nice once they get here but the process you have to go through to make that happen is life shortening.
I have just booked in appointments with three other providers so I can get myself out of this mess.

Great communications, plenty of warning of up-coming service visits, polite technicians, quick and efficient on-site. Great all-around team.

The experience on the day was very good. On time, efficient and a very pleasant chap.
The appointment before was cancelled at very short notice and it more than inconvenienced me. That’s why I give a 4 not 5

Engineers always efficient in tasks they undertake. Caerly knowledgable and effective in their work. Only critisism is that appointment has 5 hour window for a 10 minute visit! Should be able to track likly visit time to reduce impact on customer.

Two top engineers Raphael & Tom - Friendly, helpful and great representatives of Banham's. Fast efficient and knowledgable.

The service is exemplary and the staff are personable and knowledgeable. From the initial booking process to the engineer 's visit, the process is faultless.

AVOID. We pay a large annual charge only for it not to work, to then pay an additional charge for an engineer, for it to not work. And then to cancel we have been told to pay an additional charge - almost the same as the annual fee. Horrendous service. Bad product. Better off using a Ring alarm system.

Engineers themselves are great: skilled and pleasant. But Admin error meant we have not had a maintenance service in 2 years. We had alterations to our security system over the past 2 years and I was assured each time that a service would be done. This year, sensor batteries kept failing, so system won't set without a work-around. Paid for emergency engineer 9th May who found the batteries hadn't been changed since 2024. TWO maintenance visits were missed. He didn't have time to survey the system so replaced 2 duff batteries. Earliest maintenance appt available was 15th June, even tho they acknowledged it was an emergency. Since then 1 more battery has gone. Got in touch to advise and was told to replace it ourselves!! So we are left with a dodgy system for which we are paying a hefty monthly fee. Support team also woefully understaffed - takes hours to get through on the phone. Alarm receiving centre can only do very basic things and personally I found some staff to be abrupt and unhelpful. Tech team very good but only work Monday to Friday! Really disappointed.
