I unfortunately have been a 13 yr client of "BOB Kenya Ltd.", as they currently refer to themselves. Their organisation is best described either as incompetent or incredibly careless. I had a joint account with my Mum, due to an inheritance from my Father who was working in Kenya. My Mum who also passed away, more recently, is still on the account even though I have email confirmation after submitting the relevant documents that she was removed. When I went to request access to my account to make a transfer, in order to keep it active, their customer service choose to not respond for months. By the time of their response my account was dormant. Almost 2 yrs later I am about to retain a lawyer to release my money so I can terminate this toxic relationship. "BOB Kenya Ltd" at some point either by Government requirements or internal changes requires an account holder to now have Kenyan ID or a work permit, neither of which I possess. Instead of formally informing legacy customers they no longer qualify to hold an account, so they can provide the required documents or give them the opportunity to transfer their funds, they did nothing. This "institution" will only cause you stress, invest elsewhere, somewhere you are considered and respected as a real person.

Pathetic customer service. My BOB world app hasn't been working for over a month. I am an NRI customer and have complained many times. While they say, it's fixed, it's not. Every time I try to log in, i get a random text message for which I get charged INR 100. I have paid nearly INR 6000 during this time and still it's not fixed. Their customer service has no idea what *service* means. India wants to attract more and more NRIs to bring money to India and with this kind of service, I would not recommend anyone this bank ever.

Netbanking, Bank Facility and Staff
I have an NRE & a Saving Accounts in Bank of Baroda Delhi area since last 25 years.
internet Banking of BoB is a Nightmare, a headache, always difficulty in logging, asking to reset of PW multiple times.
i have Account in ICICI which is very user friendly and easy to operate, Staff is Great and Cooperative.
I have visited few Branches of the Bank Baroda, and the conditions are very unhygienic and poor, leakage in ceiling, most staff is uncivilized and seems very busy. Some Staff Haryana Speaking are the Worst and looks like totally Uneducated. I believe such people should be in the field caring the Cattles.
BoB top Management- please do not hire the Hindi Speaking Staff (mainly Haryana, UP) in City Branches. send them to Rural Branches. Such Staff are bad for BoB image.

This bank has just made a joke out of my time. I don't know how my phone number is registered as someone else's number in their data and they keep on calling all day in every 10-15 minutes.

I keep on repeating that's its my number not someone else's. And every freking time they tell me it will be registered it will be registered. But... How come they call me 10-15 times in a day.
And even if I answer that freking call they have to audacity to tell that they will register my name and call me 10-15 times again 🤯

Arcot ID Disabled, Phone change pending
Since July 13, 2025, I went to the Base Branch in Gandhi Bazar for a Phone number change on my NRO account. I must admit, the concerned branch staff (Gunjan) was very courteous. She did express that she will get this handled in about a week's time.
BOB has horrendously archaic process, it looks like.
After a number of phone calls some late night (in US) to coordinate, the changes in the branch were completed a month later!
I requested an escalation. 10 days ago, the regional office sent a query that the number should be a US number. BOB does not send OTP to US Phone numbers and for that reason, I had invested in a India number with international roaming facility.
Meanwhile, I complained to the branch that my online account has since become unusable. I have no access from the web as it says my Arcot ID has been disabled.
My repeated messages to Ms. Gunjan as well as the branch were ignored.
Finally, I lodged a complaint. Ref: BCOT86520921382 on Aug19.
On Aug 22, (Fri 7pmIST), I get a message a link will be sent to me to reissue the credentials, knowing fully well the bank is closed on Sat (4th Sat) and I cannot obviously reach the bank.
My ordeal continues. I wonder seriously why I continue doing business with this bank. I might as well work with a bank who knows to value customers' time.
If there was a way to give a 0 or negative rating, I would.
Zero support, zero response
This bank suddenly started to send me someone else's confidential bank documents and reports. I tried to contact them using emails listed on their site, and notified them about the mistake, but it did not help. They just ignore my requests and keep spamming me.
To fill their complaint forms online, I need to use the data which I don't have, as I never opened any accounts here. This is a deadlock.
I certainly do not recommend this business.
