The whole process and service from Jamie and Lucy is outstanding, with swift and clear answers to my questions and the finished product arrived exactly on time.
Jamie and Lucy offer exceptional quality frames that are beautifully designed and wonderfully crafted. I’m completely bowled over by the quality and have had many compliments on them from family and friends.

This is a team of two ,young , energetic craftspeople who see perfection as their primary motivation . Their quality and skill is second to none. Their acetate frames are not only beautiful but make you feel confident and at ease. Wear them and people will actually ask you “ where did you get your glasses? “ I have just received my second pair and they are fantastic. I would never have considered buying my spectacles on the internet. This company changed my mind.
Add to the quality - first class customer care , beautiful packaging and service - and you will never look back - only forward.

Okay this is a review I feel I need to do once I have now the benefit of experiencing of having brought several other independent brands that are of meticulous craftsmanship in comparison to Banton frameworks for cheaper price point. I had to plead to send my eyeglasses from Bantonframeworks back as they had temples attached at different angles. Mind you I live in USA and I had to spend 100 usd to ship it back for them to fix the temples, which they did but very reluctantly and after sharing several emails and pictures back and forth.

Speaking of, if anyone having brought glasses from Banton check it out how each temples sides don’t even match on the attach and they make no effort to see if they are level also the polishing and finishing at the attachment of temple is very imprecise.

The frames I purchased since then are Barton Perreira and Jacques Marie Marge - JMM. Barton was a few 100 cheaper and quality of 10 vs at best of 5 barely for Bantonframework. JMM is out of this world in comparison it is 15/10 when compared to Barton and no comparison to Bantonframeworks.

For those who are seeking a good pair of eyewear there are several brands at much much better quality and also for better price point. From my research here’s a few brands. Salt, Dita, Akoni, Barton Pereira, JMM, Masunaga, Matasuda, Robert Larouce, Ahlem, Akila, Thom Browne just to name a few.

Please consider before you spend your hard earned money buying their frames which I promise are barely better than the generic brands that you find in any eyewear store. I know people who are seeking for a unique pair of glasses will want to consider Bantonframework and they are different that I give,
but not premium as they claim they are. If not they would have their temples align perfectly and not be an afterthought.

Can't really add much more to the multitude of 5 star reviews which all one way or another match my experience. Beautifully crafted frames, beautifully designed, exceptional quality, so many options, colours styles. Extraordinary value for money. I agree with the review referring to "Banton Addiction," one pair is simply not enough I have many frames, sunglasses, reading glasses, variafocal all a joy to order, receive, own and wear. Above all though Jamie and Lucy are wonderful people, they exude energy, passion and consummate skill they deserve success, their frames are in my pretty wide experience the best, their attitude and customer service shine out. Im a very proud wearer off Banton Frameworks and wait with excitement to the quarterly sales.

One more review for a different issue! Sent Jamie my glasses for repair and refit/new lenses. The time to ship, fix, and return was lightning fast and the glasses arrived better than new and are serving me beautifully! Jamie and Lucy really do see their products through from the initial fit and through these adjustments with the utmost care and consideration. Thank you again!

I've had to wear glasses since I was 10, so that's now 65 years. My glasses are part of me. I want them to reflct my personality. I get so frustrated when looking for new frames when everything available seems so boring and safe. The ones I have selected have often been a compromise, the best of a boring selection.
Banton Frameworks was a lucky find in a book about artisan makers. I was fired up by the thought of the British frames handmade by Lucy and James. A small company with big style, flair and care.
We all need to support artisan makers and artists and choose hand made over mass production.
From the moment I made my purchase the service I received couldn't have been better. Any queries were answered straight away. Nothing was too much trouble. I am so pleased with these frames. They are sturdy and beautifully made, so different from anything else I have seen. These skills take a lifetime of learning.
When someone asks about the price of one of my pieces of pottery and then says
' All that for a lump of clay' and then I am asked how long the piece took to make, my answer is all my life, honing skills all the way.
So let's praise Lucy and Jamie for this wonderful enterprise. Long may it go from strength to strength.
Jamie and Lucy have made me feel welcome into their world and like I was the only customer at the time, when I am sure they are juggling all aspects of their business and giving the same superb attention to all their customers.
I fully recommend Banton Frameworks.
Forget the rest and get the best.

Quite simply these are the best glasses on the UK market. Handmade in Scotland to exacting standards.

Great standout style (I’ve lost count of people asking where I got the glasses from - even my optician asked as the model I was wearing as it knocked their “high end” labels/collection out of the room).

They are also very addictive so beware - you’ll be buying pair after pair and have a collection of the best glasses around to choose from. My fifth purchase.

It’s so good to support a local business (well it in Scotland but I live hours away in the Highlands).

You’ll not find better quality anywhere.

Just received my new glasses from Jamie and Lucy at Banton, they are absolutely stunning. The whole process from initial order to receiving was seamless with fantastic communication from Jamie.
I can’t recommend them highly enough and I will definitely be ordering more glasses from them in the very near future.

I'm the owner of two pair of Banton eyeglasses, one from September 2025 and the other from 2023, and both are two of the nicest pieces of art I own. Right up there with the handmade bench my father made, honestly, which is saying something. All are really museum pieces. I've never met Jamie & Lucy--the generous, kind, detailed, hardworking & incredibly talented founders and stewards of Banton Frameworks--but I've talked about them and their work to many in my family, to my students, and to everyone who compliments my eyeglasses. I suppose I know them online from Jamie's charming emails, and from both of their over-the-top assistance from across the Atlantic helping me finally, finally come to a decision. I've been wearing eyeglasses since kindergarten, I'm 46 now, and I have never cared about eyeglasses this much or felt as proud to wear them. Lucky. Can't recommend enough, the people, Jamie and Lucy, and even more Banton eyeglasses.

Just received my first pair and am so happy with how the glasses came out! The materials, the construction, everything - they feel really great to wear. Amazing communication and experience throughout.

These are much more of a statement piece than my old (rather boring) frames.
This pair is a reddish acetate that can look understated in some lights, but then the sunlight hits them and the red lights up like they’ve got fire within them. I’m already thinking about what my next pair is going to be.

Excellent personal service from start to finish. My husband’s glasses were easy to order, arrived promptly and any queries regarding lenses answered in the same way. Fit was not perfect but Jamie adjusted and returned them quickly. Great experience all round and we would highly recommend Banton Frameworks just for the personal service alone.

Just received my Mor C glasses a couple of days ago. I took a chance on ordering a pair without receiving an exemplar pair. I needn’t have worried. The glasses are outstanding. Indeed the whole process has been excellent from start to finish. Communication has been faultless and the fit and materials used are matched by the sturdiness of this cracking pair of glasses.

I wasn’t sure about buying glasses online and am very happy that I took the plunge with Banton. Having perused the product catalogue I went for a pair of Black Oryx Mor C…they are super solidly constructed and feel great on my face. Tremendous product.

I have to say, and please understand this comes from a person with a background of sky high autistically intensive focus on detail and design for work, these glasses are lovely. You can tell these are created with passion.

Every step of acquiring these glasses was effortless and happy.
