The worst car I have driven in 66 years of driving. The

Experience was horrible. I rented a LDV. The car was dirty inside rain spots on all glasses had many dents, broken tail light that even the company did not know. Luckily i saw it otherwise i am sure they would have charged me during my return.

I thought it was weird that they took my 600 nz bond it came out of my account when I paid
I rang them up asking if I was getting it back and they said it has already been processed and it will disappear from my account I have no confirmation on my bank saying I even paid a bond and haven't received anything back.

It's places like this that make me wish 0 stars was an option. This was by far and away the worst rental car I have ever had.

- All the seats were badly stained (brown and white stains) with dirt, sweat and food.
- The driver's seat belt had sweat stains on it (I think? Chalky white stains.)
- The doors had stains on the interior and clearly haven't been wiped down.
- The steering wheel was sticky.
- There was a strong smell of cigarettes in the car and through the air vents.
- The engine vibrates/makes a loud knocking sound when idling.
- The parcel shelf was broken.
- The windscreen wipers just smeared water around, would absolutely not be safe to drive in the rain.

I emailed my concerns to their helpdesk and they were clearly not interested. Just said that they would add my photos "to their records" and that I could take the car back for a "quick inspection to make sure everything was in order." I wasn't anywhere near the rental place and was not willing to drive all that way for another disinterested person to look at the stains and offer no help.

I raised the engine issues when returning the car and was told "yeah, MGs do that." Excuse me? They certainly don't, no car should make that noise. Full stop. I asked a friend and qualified mechanic to look at the engine as I was worried it would give out on me and while they assured me it wouldn't blow up during the rental period, that it certainly needed fixing.

But just generally I cannot express how disgusting this car was. Literally EVERY seat was stained white and brown and it stank in there. Was the car cheaper than other rental places? Yes, in that regard they lived up to their name. However, PLEASE save yourself the grief and rent a car from somewhere, ANYWHERE else. Avoid this place at all costs.

Price. Staff efficient, friendly, helpful.

I told the customer service person at drop off about these issues. "Oh dear" was the reply. They were very, very busy.

1. Battery in the key fob went flat within hours.
2. Windscreen wiper blades were worn down to the nub and did nothing. Was a bit scary when I drove through torrential Queensland rain.
3. There was a very visible dirty footprint on the interior front Windscreen.
4. I am still waiting for my $500 deposit to be refunded.

Price and service which was looking for.

Bargain Brisbane was disappointing. We had a MG standard SUV. The car was not cleaned thoroughly and the Apple CarPlay doesn’t work properly which made navigation difficult. Staff has forgotten to give us a child car seat despite we have pre-booked it.

Couldn't fault Bargain at all. Booking was easy, price was great compared to others that we checked out. The airport shuttle was fine (ring Bargain from a Telstra public phone in the Airport Terminal - calls are completely free so don't worry about having no money or coins).
Our car was great, clean, nearly new, ready to go. Pickup procedure was fast, the drop off even faster.
And all of the staff - the airport shuttle bus drivers, the young ladies who dealt with the pick up and the guy who we returned the car to three weeks later, were exactly what we expected from Aussies. Informal, very helpful and very friendly.
When you've been travelling for well over a day to get to Australia, you don't want or need issues on arrival. There were none. Our experience at Bargain was perfect and based on that I'd recommend the company to all travellers visiting Brisbane.

3 days after dropping car back to the Brisbane bargain car rentals depot we received email to say windscreen was damaged well it wasnt damaged when we dropped it off

and no one came out to check car whilst we waited for shuttle bus for 20 minutes but claimed it was checked 5mins after we dropped it off.
We were still at your depot Bargain' go figure!!!!
Still fighting it now with them.
What is disgusting is we went for a close family member unexpected funeral. The stress this has caused us is palpable don"t know how they sleep at night to be honest.
If you not making enough money from the rental charge more per day not sting good people like this you make me sick to my stomach.
