We actually had our vehicle booked…
We actually had our vehicle booked through Flight Centre. Collecting the vehicle was quite easy. Only issue was insurance as we fully paid with Flight Centre but apparently that didnt cover vehicle on pick up. The van was a little bit knocked around with some trim hanging off but it did the job.

We're very sorry that the conversation at the depot was so unsettling. We are required to inform our customers of any risks they're taking, so regarding the third-party insurance, this product is not related to Bargain Car Rentals, and this is where the confusion lies. It cannot reduce your excess, and if an accident occurs, all excesses and fees are payable to us.
You can then file a claim to be reimbursed through the third-party insurance provider. We do then have to advise you of the conditions of the basic level of coverage, so you're aware of what you could be paying, to be reimbursed at a later date.

The airport pick up was a bit of a disappointment people who came well after us were pushing in and getting in the van and the driver needs to prioritise the phone calls better at the pick up point.

Literally Bargain Car Rentals Cairns Airport lives up to it's name. It was my first time using Bargain. From the efficient pick-up at the airport to be whisked to their terminal.....a short distance, to be greeted by Pete, providing the answers to any questions about the hire. The car was almost new and the price with unlimited km, proved to be 60 % cheaper than their major competitors. Upon arrival after a 5 day hire, I was equally greeted by the staff, with a quick check-in.....then to be whisked back to the domestic terminal by an enthusiastic driver (Dale). I have no hesitation in recommending Bargain. All the staff are a credit to Bargain with their on going friendliness and courtesy. Thank you.

Luxury vehicle???
-Car was dirty unwashed
-No water in wipers
-Wipers were not roadworthy
-Vehicle had warning lights coming on and off
-Vehicle required a service (displayed on screen)
-Suspension squeaks
-Brakes squeak
-Inside was dirty sand and food crumbs on carpets and in dash
-Scratches all over the car not on the sheet
-Customer service has been awful, no follow ups, no replies.

Windshield wipers and inside front windshield made driving unsafe
Windshield wipers did. It didnt work well. The inskde front window was not clean. I purchased paper towel and window cleaner to clean. Unacceptable. I was not compensated for this.

Helpful staff. Took a little while to locate the correct pick up point at cairns airport. Car (Haval Joleon) took a little bit of time to figure out the GPS and safety settings.
