Bargain Melbourne Service
Great and friendly staff helpful with problems that happen to us on our trip and explaination on the charges that will be applied to us. Would definitely take up the insurance provided by them next time. Do take note that wrong fuel is not covered. Only down side is lack of reminder on what fuel the car uses and info on the receip for the charges that occur. Other than that the staff at the counter was welcoming and friendly and hassle free pick up and drop off, of vehicle. Thanks you Bargain Melbourne.

The car I received had high mileage and already had numerous small chips, scratches, and other minor damages. When I returned the vehicle, I was charged for tiny windscreen chip marks that I genuinely did not notice when collecting the car. I did not cause any damage during the rental period and had no incidents whatsoever.
The issue is that customers are expected to identify and report every minor defect, even ones that are barely noticeable. If a damage is not listed on their inspection report, the responsibility appears to fall on the customer.
Overall, a very frustrating experience.

All of our vehicles undergo inspections between rentals, and customers are provided with a condition report at collection. We also encourage customers to complete their own walk-around inspection and notify us of any damage they believe may be missing from the report so that it can be reviewed or an alternative vehicle provided if necessary.
In this instance, the damage in question had not been reported on previous inspections or by prior renters. As a result, it was identified as new damage when the vehicle was returned.

The car was nice but shuttle service not so much
The car we received was nice. It was well taken care of. Hard to tell that it was a rental. The staff was very friendly.
The bad part was getting from the terminal to the company and back again. The day we arrived we waited 45 minutes after we called for the shuttle before it finally showed up. When we dropped the car on our departure, there was no one available to drive the shuttle. We had an early flight and couldn't wait for the someone to show up to drive. Luckily a very nice lady from New Zealand was also dropping her car. She kindly drove us to the terminal. We made our flight with a few minutes to spare. I hope she made her flight ( she had a little more time ).

Poor pick up service and no bluetooth connectivity in car
Poor pick up - had to wait ages and instructions for pick up location could have been better.
Car was OK, but badly let down by inability to connect google maps or music via bluetooth. Told on car return we needed to bring a cable!!! Don't cars come with onboard maps and radio these days? Return drop off had to be before 7p.m. which meant we had a long time to wait at airport for flight.

It's regrettable to hear that getting to our depot was so difficult. For future reference, on the page for each location we have on our website, we do have a map to show exactly where the shuttle pickup area is.
We appreciate the frustration regarding connecting your phone to the car. The required cable is the same one that you use to charge your phone, so typically renters will have one on hand.
Onboard GPS has become more of a rarity these days, as phones using map apps have become the norm. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
Regarding the closing time of the depot, we do have our opening hours listed, and we appreciate you returning the vehicle on time.
