Very simple and good process. Shuttle came fairly quickly. Arrived to their site and they got my details. Car seat was already in the car and away we went. Just dropped keys off and shuttle was waiting to take us back to the airport.

Telephone service 100%, depot service 100%.
Vehicle performance very poor. The MG HL had oversensitive braking at slow speeds & underpowered braking at high speeds. The accelerator lurched forward on moving forward from stop position. Applying accelerator at 80kph on a slight hill had no power, gearbox hunting up and down gears. Applying more foot on accelerator resulted in sustained acceleration AFTER the pedal was later released. Very risky.
Cruise control OK on the 'flat' roads but very jumpy and uneven on up slopes or down ( with the gearbox hunting up & down).

Pick up from Sydney domestic airport was a little confusing and it is difficult not having a phone number to contact someone, rather than just getting recorded messages. Once all sorted the rest of the hire experience was excellent.

Arrived at site and told the luxury vehicle I had requested was unavailable. Was then provided a large SUV, LDV- nothing even remotely similar to luxury. Also once returned- dropping off back at the collection point, seems unrealistic, could the courtesy bus not drop at the doors to the departures? Seems strange.
A really disappointing experience.
Let alone the MULTIPLE emails and texts requesting feedback- how many times can I leave a 1 star review, and have zero contact from your business. The staff member I dealt with was extremely apologetic, and lovely to deal with.

We're very sorry your requested vehicle type wasn't available on pick-up. This is always a truly regrettable situation, and we only ever offer a different vehicle category if we have no other option, due to vehicles being returned damaged or late.
Regarding our shuttle drop-off, Sydney Airport has a designated Shuttle Drop-Off area, and so our hands are tied in that regard.
Our apologies again for getting multiple review requests, and so we'll put a stop to that as soon as possible.

Overall a good experience
It took a while to pickup the car because of the number of people who arrived at the same time. However the lady (Deb I think) was very friendly and helpful.
Maybe speed of pick up could be improved by having someone whose job it is to take you to the car apart instead of having one of the counter staff have to stop serving others and go outside. Alternatively organise the lot so you can just go and get the car yourself.
Other than that the service was good.
The car was clean, ran well and was fun to drive.

I had a flat Tyre during my travels
I had a flat Tyre during my travels. After putting the emergency spare on I noticed that the flat Tyre was worn through to the fabric. I. checked the other tyres and found the other front Tyre was in a similar condition. I had to replace the 2 front tyres at my own cost in order to make the vehicle roadworthy and legal. Upon returning the vehicle with the illegal tyres in the boot and subsequently sending an email request for a reimbursement - I hear nothing back. Very disappointed and frustrated that I was put in a dangerous position with the condition of the tyres.
So after the comment was made from Bargain Car rentals (below) referring me to their email address (which I had already stated - “Upon returning the vehicle with the illegal tyres in the boot and subsequently “sending an email request for a reimbursement”) - yes I had already sent you an email 18/05/26 - I hear nothing back. Yeah… I still hear nothing back. Poor form guys….
So after several emails back and forth over a few weeks I was finally reimbursed with the money I spent on the replacement tyres.

One star because 0 isn’t available. You get what you pay for. The vehicle I paid for had mechanical issues and was a serious safety risk in city traffic and on highways. This company should be ashamed of themselves for not maintaining their fleet. Absolute disgrace and nightmare collection process.

Thank you for your enquiry.
The pre-authorisation will automatically be released by Bargain Car Rentals 72 hours after the vehicle has been returned.
A pre-authorisation is a temporary transaction where a set amount of funds from a credit card or debit card is put on hold. The pre-authorisation is frozen in your account in the event we need to process payment for damage, or any outstanding charges post vehicle return such as traffic infringement fees, etc.
Once the holding period lapses, the freeze will release and the $500 will be available for you to access. If you cannot see $500 pending on your statement, this means the funds are back to the available balance.
You will not see a credit or refund in your account when you have access to these funds as the money did not leave your account.
Should the funds not be available to you after this period, please contact your bank for more information.

Make sure you check the depot times and your arrival departure times. If you are outside of the depot times you have a problem
