Absurdly slow to resolve claims.
My car was written off by someone insured by Beam insurance. Six months later they still haven't resolved the claim. My insurer keeps contacting them and getting nowhere. When I initially contacted my insurer with the details they said Beam were very slow to settle claims. This accident is straightforward and should be simple to resolve. Thanks to their delay I've had to be removed from a friends insurance due to the extra £80 cost as until resolved I'm considered at fault. I'm a named driver on another friends policy, presumably the same will happen. Can I claim these costs? I tried contacting Beam to find the delay but they refused to speak to me claiming "data protection". Its MY data. Who cares if they're nice on the phone when you ask for a quote, what matters is resolving claims properly. If everyone waiting for them to resolve claims is forced to overpay then reclaim any overpayment once resolved insurers are getting a free loan of customers money. Awful unresponsive insurer.

They offered me a good price
They offered me a good price. I added on an extra driver & got full breakdown cover as well & it was still less than the renewal price of my previous insurer. Going through Go Compare also gives excess help if needed.
Very good and easy to do
Best company for my car renewal for me
I went with this company for my car renewal because it was the best for me I am not saying it was cheap as I was shocked at the price because I have only a group one car+ it is only 15 plate have held a clean license forever ( 38 YRS) all the add ons bump up the price even more. But what I did like was when I phoned Beam they answered practically straight away which is very important for customers also their website is easy to understand

Wanted me to pay over £20 to cancel my direct debit after an initial payment and 1 payment via direct debit to settle my outstanding credit insurance premium!
£20 charge for cancelling direct debit. Ths equates to half of the interest i would have paid over 1 year.
I find this exorbitant, extortionate and exploitive in my opinion.
Not happy chappy and told customer services advisor on telephone I was not prepared to pay that. Also sent / email message to customer services via email!...no response yet.
Was initially happy with service and quote...but now I am thinking did i make a mistake by not using a more known insurance company?
Time will tell.

It was great because I had a few problems with my phone after I brought the cover and I had to phone a few times to make sure that it had gone through and the agents were so patient and helpful that they put my mind at ease.
Thank you so much
