Dangerous threatening almost criminal security staff. Beware. Make sure your camera is on & report them to the Police if they harm you, racially profile or discriminate against you in any way. If not, a lawsuit will compensate you for their harm.

Dec 2022: Racist for sure Anyone NOT caucasian or white, save yourself some pain and headache. They are most definitely racist. Not worth it. I saw a similar reviews by someone else here as well.

Clearly this is a warning, that security staff & bar staff are potential acting unlawfully & criminally.

Great bar staff and atmosphere, absolutely horrible bouncers, I had my 21st birthday table booked and sat at if for about an hour having a lush night when my two friends go out to smoke, one of them returns and says that the other one ain’t being let back in and the bouncers aren’t giving them a reason, baring in mind this is the first place we had been to on the night so he was no badly drunk as we planned on using the table and birthday tab I had, I was so confused why he wasn’t getting let back in and he text me saying he had just went home as the bouncers were being horrible, then not even 5 minutes late the other friend who just came in stressed getting pushed towards the fire exit, I was so confused but and got up to see where he was taking him, he told him also that he was no allowed back in, when I approached the bouncer I asked him why and he said it was because he was vaping, I told him he defo rlly wasn’t vaping and had literally just came back in from the smoking area so if he was going to vape he would have there, the bouncer was extremely rude saying he should just know that he can’t vape, I tried to ask another bouncer if I could resolve it as it was my 21st birthday and if my friends were being kicked out for nothing then I didn’t want to lose the money I paid for the table or for drinks, the other bouncer just kept telling me to leave and didn’t want to hear anything about it, so I called the rest of my group to leave, leaving our table which I had paid for, I asked the boy bc we what I could do or who to contact about getting money back since we haven’t done anything wrong and oven if he was vaping could he not have just told him not to and he obviously wouldn’t. After asking for there names and then not giving me them I went to reach my phone out, to have the bouncer snatch it out my hand and walk away with it behind his back, to which I just stood in shock that a Middle aged man would snatch my phone out my hand, my boyfriend came to walk over as he seen me upset and the other bouncer grabbed him by the neck and chucked him aside, I told my boyfriend to stay there since clearly they would lay fingers on him for nothing but cos I was a girl all they could do was take my phone, I just stood with my hand out waiting to get my phone u til he finally shoved it at me and both of them walked away hiding there faces as someone watching had said to get photos of them, if they were in the right about anything in this situation I don’t think they would be needing to hide there faces, overall gutted as the place itself was amazing with amazing bar staff and drinks, but just put me off wanting to go back when the bouncers act way too big, ruined my 21st birthday

Cannot comment on food as I didn’t eat there, but it’s currently 00.33 am 01/01/2024 and just 10 minutes before new years my partner was told she was not aloud to buy any drinks as she’s drank too much by a bar staff member as ‘security told them’ and as she questioned obviously as she wasn’t even drunk as our pre ordered £55 drinks took 45 minutes to even come, they said, ‘do you want leave right now?’

So ultimately we waited until the new years countdown and left as we couldn’t even get a drink after 11.50pm (we arrived at 10pm and got our pre ordered drinks at 10.45pm) and it really ruined our night, the security guard made her cry leaving, so yeah pretty not great experience.

If you think about pre ordering a table or drinks, for your information the table is roughly 60cm of a bar table which you’re allowed and your drinks you have to ask for them rather then them being ready for your arrival :)

Awful experience at this establishment in Islington. My best friend and I were out on Saturday night celebrating our birthdays and Christmases together. We were obstructed at the front door from entering by the manager or bouncer that evening and he asked us why we were going into the bar?? We replied we were wanting a couple of drinks as it was a celebration evening. He also said that as we didn’t have a table booked we might not be able to get a table as nearly all tables were reserved. He then asked us what was in our bags we let them look as we had birthday presents and wrapped up champagne bottles in the bags which were presents for each other. He questioned what we were doing with them?? He kept us waiting out there in the freezing cold weather for 15 minutes before he agreed we could go into bar. When we finally got into the bar it was pretty empty and I didn’t understand what all the fuss was about when we were waiting outside. Secondly I asked for a cocktail at the bar and the young man serving me didn’t know how to make it as it was his first day working behind the bar?? I have been to a lot of Be At One bars in my time and have never experienced management and barmen like this before. I will not be recommending this particular Be At One In Islington again! I live in Shoreditch and the one in Old Street and Liverpool Street are 100% better than this Islington one. Shame on you for spoiling our night!

Manager / DJ totally rude, someone that shouldn’t be in customer service if he doesn’t like customers. Be at One Islington is terrible thanks to him.

Mel was our server today - she was really helpful when picking me a cocktail and was really lovely and friendly. The cocktails were great too!!

Been to lots of be at one including this one multiple times but I can’t believe how bad it was yesterday!
The barman who served us was so rude. He had a go at us for ordering our drinks ‘too slow’ when we asked for another drink and him sighing as a result. This was due to the fact that he decided to serve a number of other people at the same time, even though there were plenty of bar men/women to help. I don’t know why this Barman had to take so many orders at once and then make it seem like it was our problem. He was rude and obviously couldn’t do the job properly when there were other bar staff free.
The drinks weren’t up to standard at all, they weren’t finished off properly. None of the usual finishing touches or berries, glitter or foam, as they are shown on the menu. We did complain as one drink was so bad is was undrinkable and consisted of ingredients that we knew we liked. When taking it back there was no apology, he said they didn’t have all the ingredients and that was that. I was not told when I ordered the drink that they didn’t have all the ingredients, if I was made aware of this I could have ordered a different drink.
We were a group of 6 celebrating a double birthday and booked the seating area for 2 hours. We decided to leave straight after the first drink as we didn’t want to stay there any longer due to the really bad experience. We were made to feel uncomfortable and were looked down upon by the bar staff who huffed and puffed at the thought of making a single drink.

I would like to formally report an incident in which I was subjected to racial abuse by an individual who is presumed to be the manager. This person baselessly accused me of using cocaine, despite my complete innocence in this matter. When I requested their cooperation in involving the police to address the situation, they declined, citing fear as the reason for their refusal. Furthermore, despite the absence of any evidence, they proceeded to expel me from the premises.

We’re based in lincoln amazing atmosphere, great value for money, great customer service, highly recommend! bring on the cocktails darlings 💋
