They are a complete scam

They are a complete scam. Sent me a dirty, worn dress that I sent back to them and accused me of causing the damage to the item. They sent it back to me and charged my card. Absolute complete fraud. Do not order from this company unless you want to be scammed.

Trisha skirt

Not the same colour as on the website. I would expect some variation but the skirt is a completely different green than advertised. Comfortable skirt but not completely what I thought it would be.

Sweater

I loved the pink and white stripped sweater I got it was great quality looks flawless and also is heavy and keeps you warm. Shipping only took a week not like some brands that take up to 3.

I also sent a email to them letting them know how happy I was receiving this sweater and am very grateful I got a reply I recommend them they are a beautiful community with beautiful clothes.

Got 2 dresses

Got 2 dresses, the seams are horrible on both - they stick out like a sore thumb and overall makes the dress look horrible. The only good thing was how fast the shipping was

Customer Service I can not fault

Customer Service I can not fault. Bought a dress a little to big, my computer could not download the return barcode, I called them and within 30mins an issue that was my issue was fixed and sorted by BB.
I do love the clothes, I always get compliments - it is just a very trusty and safe place to buy clothes from as a web store :-)

Poor quality and appalling customer service

I bought this dress to wear as a bridesmaid in a wedding, and when I received it I tried it on and was very happy with the look and fit.
I wore it once, less than 3 months after I bought it, for 5 hours for the wedding, washed it as per the instructions and in a garment bag for extra protection and it has torn on the back after one wear and one wash (see photos).
When I reached out to the team to discuss options, as I do not believe this meets the standards for acceptable quality under Australian consumer law, they implied that that I was lying about how the tear happened and were unhelpful, refusing to discuss options other than a (meagre) partial refund or 50% code for a future purchase (of which I can guarantee there will be none as I do not wish to spend anymore of my money on a dress that doesn’t last more than a single wear.)
Do not buy from here, their customer service is insulting and unhelpful and their dresses are not made to last more than one wear and wash, by the customer service team’s own admission.

BEWARE RIDICULOUSLY HIGH TAX/IMPORT BUYING FROM EUROPE!!!! I PAID 100$

You should have a clearer note on your home page warning overseas customers of the potential additional hidden charges that may occur in addition to your particularly high delivery charge. The website does state that anyone buying from outside of Australia is responsible for tax/import duties, I had no idea this would amount to nearly over 50% of the total cost of my order. That is ridiculous. I have never paid that much in tax/duties before and I’ve ordered clothes from other boutiques in Australia previously. Beginning boutique should make these high charges clearer on their website rather than stating check with local customs office or hiding it in free shipping for $50 part of their website. Their clothes were cute, but I paid 100$ in tax/import alone for 3 pieces of clothing. That is not worth it. I will not be buying from them again. And I can see that several people have said the same thing in their reviews but they still haven’t done anything about it. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately customs/ import fee's have absolutely nothing to do with us, and are calculated once the package arrives into your country - these fee's are incurred with international package arrivals, and we cannot give any advice on this as we do not receive any indication on who will/ won't be charged these fee's, this will all vary dependant on where you are located, where your order is coming from and the size/ contents of the order.

Business does not comply with the Australian Consumer Law

I contacted Beginning Boutique about a top that was unworn and had the tags still attached, though one of the birch eyelets was faulty, thus the top was unwearable due to the backing being loop through string, which would have ripped through the faulty hole, making it unwearable. After back and forth emails with the company for over a month, I received hostile and cold replies, stating that I should have known the item was faulty earlier, and that I was not being truthful about the top not being worn. To top it off, Beginning Boutique flat out refused to provide a refund for the faulty item. After escalating the matter to Consumer Affairs who advised of the breaches of section 54 and 55 of the Australian Consumer Law Competition and Consumer Act of 2010, Beginning Boutique have "ghosted" me and will not reply. I have never had such a negative experience with a brand, and warn other fellow consumers that Beginning Boutique does not abide by or respect consumer laws.

I am sorry that you are disappointed however as you have had this garment in your possession since 2020, we are not able to provide a full refund. We have however offered some alternative options to resolve this.

Please note that as a business we strongly rely on customers to thoroughly check all garments once delivered and flag any defects with us as soon as possible, and it is never our intention to provide a negative experience, however we do have to draw a line when you have had the garment for 2+ years.

Horrible Experience

Horrible Experience! First they tried to charge me an additional $30 for "customs" fees, then when I refused to pay/tried to cancel my order the customer service was horrible - the girls were rude and the cherry on top is that they tried to refund me via gift card! as if i'd ever shop there again.
As well they only returned me half my money ($55 out of $118)

Great experience

Great experience, fast shipping, cute dress. Quality could be slightly better (stitching wasn't too good) hence the 1 star missing. Otherwise really good

Daughter ordered the green slip dress

Daughter ordered the green slip dress - quality absolutely dreadful; stained/watermarked (unwearable), so disappointing for what we paid plus shipment to the UK-definately a tough lesson learnt. Not worth taking the risk! 😞

All-round disappointing experience :(

Shipping took longer than expected, I was disappointed with the customer service.

I ordered the Manhattan Slip Formal Dress Gold in XXS as my formal dress. When I opened the plastic packaging it came in the sequins on the dress went all over my floor & made the biggest mess. I'm not one to complain often but this was soo frustrating because sequins kept coming off the dress when I was trying it on! I asked for help but customer service wasn't very attentive and took too long to respond.

Plus the hair claw I ordered looked nothing like the picture online :(

Not keen on shopping here again.

Disappointed with the quality unfortunately 😥

I Bought the Tye dyed hoodie that was described as super soft and warm and paid around $90 for it.

Recieved it today and it is far from good quality.
It is super scratchy on the inside making it really uncomfortable to wear on your skin.
Ive had jumpers from Kmart with a better internal softeness then what this one has 😥

Paid good money too I thought it should at least be super soft as described but if feels like cardboard and is not warm at all!
Disappointed in my purchase unfortunately.
