It's pretty good, a bit costly though and here in Torrevieja we need stronger motors. Going upwards is way too slow. I haven't tried alternatives but today my scooter just stopped with a purple light... See more

Hoppy is easy to use and the app is easy to navigate, sometimes the scooter are a bit battered and low on batteries but most the time they are perfectly fine, also love the wireless chargers

My trip was for 49min it cut out several times I was charge over 12euros and for 3 days after they continued to try take upto 7 transactions out my bank account of over £60 luckily my bank stopped as was fraudulent.
I now try to delete my hoppy account but they say it’s in debt by £6.99 so unable to delete

Scam , equipment not working !!
Been charger £85 for not parking in right zone when the actual scooter stopped working and I almost fell into people .
Customer service non existing refusing me to give refund .
Do not use this app they trying to make money on people at least provide fully functional equipment . I ended up walking on Tenerife in 32 up hill and got overcharged should get taxi instead

I live in the countryside and commute to work with Hoppy bicycles every day. Very happy overall, but quite often (every fifth time or so) the bike requires service. Most likely it is the wheel that gets a shape of ”8” and you can feel bumps. So for long rides it’s not the best then. Otherwise, really good availability, cheap and often recharged.

Me and my partner got scooters from the centre of corrolejo back to our favourite bar. First my partners scooter stopped working because of low credit despite the fact auto top-up was enabled. We finally got out the bar and we couldn’t park because the spaces were full meaning we had to go ages away to find a spot and we get charged for extra time because you aren’t doing your job and distributing bikes? I mean come on.

Unfair fine and poor customer service technical issue ignored
I had a really disappointing experience with Hoppy in Tenerife.
After finishing work, I took a scooter for a very short ride (only about 400 meters) and tried to park it in the same place I had picked one up the day before right beside the skatepark in Playa de las Américas, where there are always plenty of Hoppy scooters parked.
However, the app didn’t recognize the area as a valid parking zone. I tried to end the ride several times, at different locations in the area, but the app kept freezing and locking me out. I spent over an hour trying to park correctly. And i couldn’t ride it to a other zone because it stopped working after u tried parking it that many times. On the way, I even met another girl who also couldn’t park her scooter due to the same issue.
Despite all this, I was later charged €64.43, and customer service refused to refund it. I explained everything, offered to send pictures of the location and the other parked scooters, but they simply insisted it wasn’t a technical issue which is clearly not true.
It feels very unfair and unprofessional to charge customers for something completely out of their control. I did everything I could to follow the rules, but because of a system error, I ended up paying more than 60 euros for a 400-meter ride.
I would not recommend Hoppy. Their app is unreliable, and their customer service shows no willingness to listen or help when something goes wrong.

We tried hoppy a couple of yeare ago in kos and recently today tried in fuerteventura and was a little shocked for me and my wife to be charged 14 euros each for less than half an hour (almost £30)
Its simply too expensive, my advice, get a taxi, rent a car or bike for a day it will be far cheaper in the long run.
In response to your reply about wind in your hair, i understand that but you could rent a bike or scooter for the same or more for the day.
Dont get me wrong here and think people reading thi should be aware of this, the bikes are brilliant, high quality, good app, good speed, we have great memories of these in KOS and tbh in Fuerteventura because of these little scooters , so there is that to take on board. Its just too expensive for what it is. Obviously only you know your business model its just costructive feedack, if there is reason your costs are so high i get it (i run a business too) but price a factor and im sure it was cheaper in Kos but other than that great in almost every other way and I recommend anyone at least try them once.

My son and it's have used them for a ride along the kos coast. He loved it. I was a little scared but survived.

We used these in Crete, app simple to use, plenty of places to pick up and leave

Used Hoppy E scooters on the island of Crete in Greece, plenty of parking locations, easy to use scooters and in good working order. Cheaper and more fun than a taxi if you just was to get around the town.

Disgusting. Seemed to be a great option for local travel in Spain, but soon to realise it is a total scam. Incredibly limited parking spaces and only half the scooters work on the app, AND CHARGE YOU EVEN IF THEY DONT WORK!! sometimes the app mugs you off and even though you "stopped ride" it will continue adding minutes to your journey in the background and before you know it you've racked up hours on a scooter that you've already parked and sent a photo of. 100% a scam. Watch out

Really easy to use to get around Island just need more maintenance done on them some have no speed screen and brake lights missing
