Essential Leasehold Education!

I would strongly recommend this course to anyone connected in any capacity to Leasehold properties, on the basis that "you don't know what you don't know" until you've attended an excellent course. such as Bernie's.

Leasehold Lessons is a comprehensive course on all matters relating to Leasehold properties by a highly experienced Expert, Bernie Wales.
I feel I learned so much - most importantly the many pitfalls of leasehold properties, and where to go for advice when problems are encountered.
I cannot recommend this course highly enough, and regard it as essential learning for anyone dealing with leasehold property, in whatever capacity. The course is quite simply terrific value for money it is worth so much more than the modest investment of time and money required.

Great insight into the actual leasehold 'workings'!

Despite quite a complex topic, Bernie's Leasehold Lessons content was relatively easy to grasp in the way it was presented and as a leasehold 'flipper' it gave me much more insight into the actual leasehold 'workings'!

Bernie helped me with a leasehold query. He's extremely knowledgeable, explains things clearly and generally a really nice helpful chap. Well worth booking some time with him if you need a freehold/leasehold/property expert.

Leasehold Lessons from an expert

Great Course on Leasehold

Great Course on the subject of Leasehold and some of the many pitfalls regarding the Law on Leases. Learned a lot about the Properties I own and taught me the value of 'Reading the Lease'

June is referring to my Leasehold Lessons training course ... and has clearly thought about it before giving 4 stars. Most people give "marmite reviews" - love it, 5 stars - or hate it, 1 star - so June's 4 must be a considered choice. I will therefore enquire about what could have been changed to make the course worthy of that extra star.

Knowledgeable Expert

I have experienced Bernie presenting for third party training courses, on webinars & on specialist leasehold training. His presentations have always been clear & concise. I would describe Bernie as an expert on leasehold, would use him for leasehold training & certainly use him as a consultant for leasehold issues.

I attended the Leasehold Lessions…

I attended the Leasehold Lessions sessions. I had a general idea, but Bernie really opened my eyes to the whole field of leasehold. What was really good is that Bernie held Question and Answer sessions on each topic which I wasn't expecting. I Probably shouldn't say this but it was great value for money. Bernie will be putting his prices up next!

The Information provided by Berni was false.

Our solicitors said what he is suggesting is not possible,.

Following that I sent few emails but obciously he has not come back, which proves he does not know what he is talking about,

I would not recommand anyone wasting his money, You will find on his review there are some people which similar opinions as ours.

Just adding after you have replied, I require answer to my question and not the knowledge you have. I paid you for the answers to my question and not for your knowledge. I had provided you exact details prior to our meeting of what I was looking from you. What a waste of time and money.

If you are that correct just post the screenshot when you replied to my Solicitors so every one knows you only replied to my solicitors once I left a negative review.

Let's see who is right.

Dear Mihir / Chetan / Ketan ... whichever name you're using today.

The point you have raised was only one of the many points we discussed during the consultation. This particular point was whether the two individual houses could be given their own individual HMLR title number ... "cut out of" the current freehold title, which also includes the adjacent block of flats. I said I thought they could ... but I pointed out I'm not a conveyance, I'm a leasehold expert. I have written to your conveyancer but I've not heard back yet. I suspect something may have been lost in translation.

Anyway, the leasehold advice I gave, and the lease creation service we discussed, was sound solid advice - the area of expertise I cover and what I charge for. The freehold houses was outside my leasehold remit and I offered my opinion. It is therefore a shame that you've ignored the good expert advice and have given a star based opinion my non-expert opinion in another area.

I wish you well with your project - but I won't be helping you any further.

Update 16:50pm 3rd February 2022.

I have now heard from your solicitor who says ... "The duplex can be given its own title number" ... and she goes on to explain the limitations. I have responded with the three routes I suggested ... and a fourth which doesn't involve a mortgage/charge.

So you can do what was suggested. You just need to decide which route to take.

Update 17th February 2022.

Mihir can update his review as much as he likes - it doesn't change the position. And I'm not replying to his emails, because I don't get them, as I've blocked him. At least his solicitor understands what I was talking about.

failed to answer a question properly and directed towards a paid service.

His focus is on money and taking rather then giving and making the simple complex.

I have a few of my own. 1) You contacted me via my website and I provided free advice, which I did not need to do. 2) You asked for SDLT tax advice - when I'm not a tax adviser. 3) I answered your title split question and pointed you to further information on my website ... which does provide details of paid services, but doesn't require you to buy. 4) It is your property project and if you proceed you'll no doubt make a nice profit. Why should professional advisers help you make that profit but not get paid in return? We are in business too. Do have a nice life - I won't be part of it.

The lease reading service that Bernie…

The lease reading service that Bernie offers is second to none ! Leases are notoriously difficult to read, hence why we enlisted Bernie's help. He was very responsive to messages and offered lots of advice regarding what we could do. It's definitely helped us to try and resolve the ongoing issue that we currently have with one of our properties. I would definitely recommend this service and would use it again in the future.
