Bernie has been a huge help to us: in 2018 we consulted him about how to manage the leases on a very large house Victorian house converted into 4 flats, where we owned half, and our neighbour of 30 years who owned the other half was selling up. Bernie opened our eyes to the possibility that the best step would be for us to buy the other flats rather than try to amend the leases, and then manage the whole situation far better once we had total control with greater freedom to plan. We originally called Bernie to advise on how to amend leases, and he saw the bigger picture, and gave us confidence we could do it. We simply would not have had the courage to take this step without Bernie explaining how easy it would be given our equity in various properties to raise the capital needed, even though we thought we might be regarded as too old to be taking out new mortgages. It was definitely the right decision. So this year, with this very unpredictable market, we asked Bernie for advice on what steps we could take if we manage to sell our offices (with a doubling of CGT on the cards in March) and on what kind of property portfolio might be best to cope with the market we face in the post covid years. We knew this was not bang on Bernie's main expertise on leaseholds, but we judged he would have ideas to input on our holiday let ideas, and suggest where we might look for help, which indeed he did. Bernie is an excellent consultant, he is thoughtful and a good listener and brings his excellent judgement and ideas to bear on other people's problems. It is a great service he offers, and we would thoroughly recommend a discussion with him, and may well consult him again in future.

A valuable 30 minute consultation with Bernie re a short lease on a flat. Highly knowledgeable and experienced.
Seek advise before you buy as it could prove to be a very costly mistake if you've not done your due dilligence correctly.

Excellent service, Bernie goes into detail but also explains in plain english. With Bernie's advice to date, as a leaseholder I have potentially saved myself over £10k of charges by the management company.
