We took a major decision to have an orangery built to the side of our house . After some research we contacted Bespoke Design in Ketton . From that point on, they seamlessly dealt with all aspects of the process, from a survey, planning application , to final completion, which despite the weather, was completed on time .
Nothing was too much trouble , with the project management under Faye’s keen eye , a particularly positive feature
A big decision to take to have such an addition to our property , but we are delighted and relieved that we went with Bespoke Design , who we highly recommend

On time, on budget and on quality

I was driving along the A47 coming into Morcott at around 5 pm today and was followed by a Bespoke Design Rutland van.
The driver was repeatedly tailgating and overtaking very closely, forcing other vehicles to adjust speed and creating an unsafe situation on a busy stretch of road.
It was surprising and disappointing to see such aggressive driving from a marked company vehicle, as it reflects poorly on the business.
I hope the management team reminds their drivers to represent the company more safely and professionally on the road.

We are absolutely thrilled with the recent Orangery extension and knock through completed by Bespoke Design. The whole team Danny, Ollie, Dave and Dan were incredibly professional and efficient, finishing the project on time and within budget and really delivered on the vision that Paul had designed. The build quality is exceptional, and they did a fantastic job of keeping the site tidy throughout the process. The broader organisation and administration work from Faye further made for a great experience, with constant feedback throughout. We highly recommend them for any building work and would not hesitate to use them again.

From the Initial stage of Planning to the Finish of the Orangery the process was very smooth and was handled with efficiency.
Thanks to Paul for accommodating/executing our vision through CAD Diagrams and keeping our budget in mind.

Thanks to Faye for scheduling the building works with the teams and for coordinating the schedules with us. She was always very prompt in responding to any queries or concerns we had and made our side of the Journey easy and enjoyable. Also the workers were on time everyday and completed the work as per the schedule.

The finished Orangery is exactly like in the CAD Drawings and in fact better in the Reality.
It was such a delightful experience and we can't recommend them enough. Also we look forward to spending our time in the Orangery and creating memories.

In the business that I work in you meet many people, but I have to say meeting Paul and speaking to his daughter Faye over the phone, I have never seen a company that is so professional on so many levels. I have say meeting Paul was a pleasure he came with a portfolio of the companies work and listened to all our dreams of converting our home.

Paul never wasted any time showed us exactly what his company was capable of doing and inspected the house, understood all the issues, but also took everything we said in to account before showing us our dream home. He also ensured us about budgets and also catered to that, no hidden fees like other companies.

Bespoke Design Rutland has designed and built an orangery at my home. From the start, full details of the build was sent and every stage fully explained. I was delighted with the completed building and the professionalism of the company.

We have just undergone a large kitchen/living extension including orangery on the back of our Victorian property. We had a lot of concerns one being the age of the property, how the old and new would work together the disruption through the winter months and making sure the outcome was what we had envisioned.

From the initial meeting with Paul, discussing what we wanted and how we could achieve it. It was vital that we got it right from the start. Paul quickly got 3D visuals to us of the space and we loved it.

We then met Faye who was going to manage the project from start to finish. We cannot fault her attention to detail and communication. My husband and I both work full time with young children, so having Faye there taking care of all the day to day organising ensured that the project ran seamlessly. Even when faced with issues these were managed, dealt with and resolved quickly.

We then met the builders Danny and Ollie and knowing they will be at the house everyday for the next 6months you want to make sure your comfortable and that they are generally nice guys, which they are. Everyday come rain or shine they had smiles on their face. Always professional and very skilled.

Finally the woodwork and finishing of the orangery was completed by Dave and his team and executed brilliantly. This also included 3 traditional sash timber windows and a back door.

We had many more trades throughout the project that were all coordinated by bespoke and couldn’t recommend highly enough.

The outcome of the project is everything we could have dreamed of. The space has totally changed the way we live and interact as a family. The build compliments the house and has brought our home inline with modern living.

Bespoke Design Rutland designed and installed our orangery, and replaced 2 hardwood french doors. They were very professional from start to finish. Everything was very clear and detailed on the paperwork, plans, contract etc.
Communication and organisation from Faye was exceptional throughout the project. We were kept informed of progress at each stage, and also when workmen and deliveries would be arriving. The team of workmen were lovely, it was a pleasure to see them everyday.
The build itself exceeded our expectations and we would have no hesitation in recommending this company for your building project.

I am still in awe of how stunning my orangery is. It is aesthetically beautiful and functional and I have the team at Bespoke Design led by Faye to thank for doing an amazing job. I picked Bespoke Design for this project because they are a family run business with a good reputation and also because the do everything from designing, planning, doing all the building and electrical works and making sure all planning permissions are in place where appropriate. Faye, who oversees the works progress is exceptional and Lee ensures all is going to plan at the site. All the trades are professional and are extremely skilled in their various specialties. The work was finished to time, quality and budget. I have absolutely no complaints on any aspect of the work. This company really care about customer service and satisfaction. All my calls were always returned and I received detailed updates on a daily basis. We are delighted with our new orangery and so pleased that we chose Bespoke Design as our supplier as the service they provided was exemplary. From our initial discussions with Paul we had confidence that the company knows what it is doing and stands out amongst the many other suppliers operating in this field. Bespoke were not fazed by the fact that our house is a listed building, nor the complications of poor drainage running under the existing conservatory and the need to join the replacement building to an old Collyweston tiled roof, and they came up with a design that exceeded our expectations while also gaining the appropriate approvals.

All the tradespeople who carried out the building and drainage work, installation of the orangery structure, and electrical, plumbing and plastering work were professional and highly skilled. We were kept constantly updated on the progress of our project by Faye, who was always very quick to respond to any queries and to make sure everything ran smoothly. In fact the overall management of the project was such that our orangery was completed quicker than we expected, despite the work taking place during the difficult winter months, and to budget.

From the outset we felt in safe hands and this was evidenced further as we were guided through the process. Without exception the professionalism of this family run business was clear and the final product has exceeded our expectations.

Or is it BGS17 Ltd? or Bespoke Developments Ketton LLP? or Eco Build and Design Consultants ltd?, or Posh Windows and Conservatories Limited? and the list goes on..

I wish we had done our homework and looked at Companies House and viewed the accounts and history of these companies and Directors before signing one of the most one sided contracts my lawyers have seen.

We were lulled by beautiful 3D visualisation and presentation of the quote, 10/10 for sales pitch and presentation.

Over 6 months we learnt that:

Every minor change or request would have full legal variation of contract documentation and you could be told how difficult a client you are for enhancing the design.

Nothing is ever the fault of the contractor.

You can receive lengthy letters (which can be inaccurate) detailing how all and any delays are actually all your fault.

Despite many any requests in writing and in person do not expect to see a timeline with actual dates and a timeline, perhaps I think because these could then be used to monitor and prove performance, or lack of it.

Expect to pay large sums up front before you see anything.

And if you terminate for non-performance, expect a claim for loss of profits that are inflated, and costs which you never agreed or saw.

This is after we offered to pay all reasonable costs to date and move on as gentlemen after 6 months of no action.

We were left with two sample holes to evaluate the footings, a mess for 3 months, a set of drawings and a demand for tens of thousands of pounds and lost 6 months of time.

I have no doubt the reply to this will place all blame at our feet.

I believe that this small firm subcontracts out everything, keeps it assets low, and hides behind one sided contracts in case of a dispute.

They have no honour or morals in my opinion.

So in September we then asked for a quote from another local company, who got stuck in, and delivered a beautiful orangery on time for Christmas, the compete job done and finished in 2 ½ months from commission. Contrast that with six months and nothing but a mess and two holes dug outside our dining room window.

(Being generous) I estimate about £8,000 of real works were carried out with labour, and design meeting time (but excluding the sales pitch drawings) and have had this figure confirmed to me by friends in the trade. We paid approximately £28,000 up front and then received demands for a further £10,000 when we eventually were told our timelines for Christmas were not possible, and cancelled the contract. Of course all delays were due to our minor changes. Others can deliver – I would suggest being very, very wary if you are considering using this firm.
