Perhaps 1 star is unfair, maybe 1.5 stars is closer to how I feel, I just wish I had read these reviews before buying but also grateful it was a low value order at least...
So, having an import car can be a bit of a pain. UK motorfactors generally look blankly at me with "dunno mate" or suggest a UK model which isn't even remotely like the car I have. Being fairly handy with cars I don't mind doing some donkey work to get the right parts. So I found the part numbers I needed to sort the exhaust, Google searches mainly just bring up Japanese websites but lo and behold who's this? bestpartstore dot CO.UK to save the day! Wait it looks fishy, why are the currency dividers commas not full stops? Ah yes overseas, oh well nice and cheap...
So I painstakingly got the correct part numbers for my car's VIN no, checked all the suggested equivalent part numbers and settled on about £30 worth of bolts and gaskets all VERY CLEARLY corresponding to the Subaru OEM part numbers. Being in Germany it took a little while to arrive but to be fair it was quicker than expected and no duty was added on.
I went to remove the old exhaust, and the first bolt snapped but it became immediately apparent the supplied replacement bolt was wrong, completely wrong not even close. Double checking the part chosen and supplied and sure enough it matched the OEM Subaru PN. Also a donut gasket would not fit, gentle persuasion failed and it became apparent it would get damaged forcing it further.
So back on Google and luckily my local dealership had the bolts on the shelf, a whopping £2.02 each, but an hour each way but they went straight on.
So moral of my story, phone round your local dealership first even though they may not have an online shop. The parts might actually not be that expensive and might well be on the shelf waiting for you!
So now I'm in email discussion with them and they're asking me to return 2 bolts to Germany for a refund. Rrrright.
Autodoc appears to be the same setup, I'd avoid them like the plague too.

The parts ordered were first class. Only drawback, although the parts were shown as being in stock, I had to wait for them to be imported from Germany.

The customer service department has been prompt to answer my enquiries. I am happy with the track your parcel options. The parts are new and well wrapped when delivered.
The only quetion is IS there an aditional duty to be paid if i end up returning an item, where the postage is on my expence?! Uk back to Germany! As UK is no longer int he EU!
