You Have Been Warned

To be honest there is too much to write in this box so i will keep it short. I am not one to write very negative reviews and do not get angry easily. Our Kitchen installed by Betta Living was a shambles, the installation was the beginning of our woes, they were rude and obnoxious to my partner when she called to ask questions and complain. They really did not care, they then went quiet and went into administration so all of our warranties are now void and we were left with the original payment and no compensation.
Do yourself a favor a find a good builder and start there, avoid Betta living at all costs.

Good quality but terrible service

Good quality but terrible service. The order was mishandled from start to finish and they left a real mess behind. I raised a complaint (including with their top management) and they didn't even bother to respond. They charge premium prices but they show no respect for their customers.

Never again, poor fitting and a lot of mess

We have their fitted wardrobes. Unfortunately the fitters did not follow the agreed drawing, putting a shelf in the wrong place and cutting two uprights circa 100mm short. They offered to correct the issue with the shelf but would not replace the chipboard which they had drilled and screwed incorrectly on the face of it, looked awful. The short uprights are still in situ and look silly, it's obvious they were measured and cut wrong. They cut all the wood in our bedroom using power tools and did not protect anything. No dust control either, leaving us in a terrible mess. I contacted the Maidstone branch and was told a manager would call me, he never did. I have since discovered much better quality wardrobes available in their price range with alternative companies. I would not recommend Betta Living and will never use them again. No after sales care whatsoever, not convinced the warranty will be of use either. Material quality is ok, not the best.

The 15 year guarantee is worthless

My wardrobe doors are peeling and when I rang betta living I was told that my 15 years guarantee was worthless and I would have to pay again for replacements. Didn't realise the company had gone into administration! So I am left with awful looking doors.

Worst Customer Service

To Whomsover It may concern

I would like to bring to your notice the way my first site visit was dealt by one of your sales representatives and how amateur he was in his job and his dealings.

He called me before the visit and when I gave him the address where he had to go and measure up the kitchen he said that he was not made aware of all this at all and he wanted to work from the measurements which were done by the architect but I had to urge him to go and get the accurate measurements as thats how every other supplier deals with any furniture.

Upon arrival, he looked very annoyed & made rude and sarcastic comments like "why do you need such a big kitchen?? can you afford it?? whats the budget?? ". At that point we did not react to his sarcasm and we ignored it.

After the measure up was done he then gave us a price of £38,000 (which so far was the highest quotations I have received comparing to any other suppliers of equivalent standard). He then said he can discount it to £30,000 with one of the ongoing offers. Further to this he said he can close the deal for £22,000 provided we pay him there and then which was ridiculous as no one is sitting at home with that kind of money in their pockets. When I said we want to look into the details to make sure we have covered everything he said that he did not appreciate us wasting his time and his time was very precious which is very rude to say to your potential client.

I asked him if there is a one year interest free payment plan to which he said we do not offer any payment plans. One of my friends has bought the kitchen from your company recently and he had the opportunity to go for no interest if the full balance was paid within a year (I can give his details if you wish to).

I personally feel that the jump from £38,000 to £22,000 (which did not take him more than 7 mins to be precise) was quite fishy and did not make any sense as most of the items where still on the quotation and there was only a very minor change. I found Steve very rude, aggressive and racist in passing comments and overall body gesture. I would never ever recommend your services to any of my friends and family. I work in customer service oriented industry and if I was behaving the way Steve did then I would have been out of my job within seconds. It was only due to my decorous behaviour I did not react or make a big scene.

shambles

i have had a kitchen out in in july 2016. Now the cooker broke in December. The company that installed it are Betta Living who are now no more as they have goonies to admin. I emailed Caple as i have a warranty with them who told me to get some one out to take out the cooker so they can fit the part but i can't get anyone out to do this so i went back to them who told me to go to my loan provider Shawbrook who said for me to get as quote and they will pay it and fix the cooker which i did and then they said as its under 1 year old Caple have to help but Cape won't then i called Shaw brook again who told me to go to FRP who are looking after the Betta living account who told me to go to wefitanyfurniture.com and they aren't helping me either. i have had it, i paid £10k for this kitchen less than a year ago and i need help. I am crying as i write this as no one is helping so i hope you can.

Please help me, i have been emailing back and forth since December and none is assisting me.

Iam at the end of the end of my tether.

Fabulous Kitchen

I've just had my kitchen completed by Betta living and felt that I have to leave a review because I'm so pleased with the workmanship, the organisation and the final outcome. Each stage went really well, the designing and the surveying. The builders Daniel and Grzeg were fantastic. They turned up early each day, stayed late, worked hard and really knew what they were doing. They completed in four days with minimum disruption. I love my kitchen now.

Outstanding Customer Service from Showroom to Completion

At every stage we were treated with utmost courtesy and respect. The attention to detail in fulfilling our wishes beginning in the showroom (Marian), continuing with the personable sales representative(Peter), the excellent surveyor (Adam) and the very competent hard working fitter was outstanding. This was ably managed by the backroom staff which resulted in providing us with two attractive fitted bedrooms that met our practical needs. Our expectations were exceeded and we wholeheartedly recommend this company.

I wish I had gone somewhere else

I looked around, as we all do. I had previously had a kitchen from a local supplier and they were amazing - totally professional, fantastic cabinets, excellent workmanship and brilliant customer service. On this occasion I didn't see anything in the showroom that took my eye and when I went into BettaLiving I saw the kitchen on display and liked what I saw - modern and simple. The sales guy came along and sold it to us though a price was given and then a huge discount given because it was the end of the month .... funny how the shop seems to advertise these big discounts anyway .... Plans were drawn up and when we were ready process started. I wish had read reviews about this company before because since having mine done and reading reviews and, speaking to other customers, my experiences from hereon are not uncommon. The fitters were friendly enough but I have never met such untidy workers before - they traipsed through the house in their boots without putting any sheets down, they worked with mess on the floor and so this traipsed in, they did sweep up at end of day 1 but after that they didn't really bother. They said they would turn up at a given time and hours later there would be no sign of them and they would deny saying they were going to be early and give reasons for this. They turned up at the end of the day on one occasion. What should have been a few days turned into a full week - good job I had a nice boss who allowed me to work from home! They were helpful in one respect by pointing out that an additional wine rack could be fitted where there was a huge filler and they sorted that for me - I was thankful for their input. There was a break for a while because the granite had to be fitted. They came back to finish the fit which took a lot longer than it should have done, similar issues with tidiness and arrival times. At the end they asked me to sign a form to say everything was in order, I felt rushed in doing so but they were just saying ‘yes, tick that, tick that, that’s done’ etc. Afterwards, when looking at the work they had done – the kickboard lights were loose and kept falling out, the wine racks were dreadful quality with gaps at the top and bottom – hardly what you would call ‘designer’ which is what they marketed this kitchen at, they had screwed the bottom edge to the cupboards using screws that were too big so the screws had come through, there was damage on one of the cupboard sides, there was damage on some of the bottom edging, a cupboard door was not level so the filler at one end looked wonky. Eventually got customer services to replace the wine racks to ones that were acceptable but then I had to wait weeks and weeks before they could arrange for a fitter to come and do the remedial work – this followed numerous phone calls where I was told something was being sorted / that they would call me back etc but I had to constantly call them and was getting nowhere. I did not want the other fitters back because there was so much wrong and I had complained – when they originally called me to say they were coming to do the job, they then asked me what needed to be done so, customer services had not even communicated the work that was required so they would have come back and not done what was needed! I called and told Customer Services I wanted different fitters (again!). Those same fitters then tried to call me but I would not take their calls – they should not have been calling me. The remedial fitter was very good and did what needed to be done, in a tidy fashion but the whole experience was ruined and far from looking at my kitchen and loving it, I am filled with upset because of everything that happened. This was not a cheap kitchen and I expected more from the quality and the whole customer experience. Our kitchen was started in March 2016 and we finally got it finished in September 2016! My recommendation to you all is ‘steer clear’ and go somewhere else. I would never recommend this company in a million years.

betta living

I just wanted to share my experience with bettaliving.co.uk
1. The initial assessment by the designer was ridiculous , inaccurate and the the asking price was too high and the way was just to push me to buy the product with false informations about the material.
2. The installation service team were very slow and some times they work 3 hours in whole day and they leave the job half way as they want to do shopping in a working day.
3. I didn't like the products , I have one of the shelves fell down after one week from installation.
4. I will not recommend bettaliving to any one of my friend and family

Very poor customer service - never contactable

After 3 weeks having my kitchen installed one cabinet door is still missing. It has been advised that I will receive it within same week when installer was still here but to date no sign of this. I called BETTA Living customer team and last week have been told the door has then be ordered and should have it this week. No sign and no matter which number I try to call nobody ever answers the phone and cant leave message as "recipent's mailbox is full".. It supposed to be a national company and I am expecting a better customer service - but after dialling now the 4th number ( after an hour) still no asnwers on any of these numbers. Very poor aftercare

Great finished product and service

We tried a number of companies but Bettaliving offered the best range of finishes and could deliver the design we wanted. The process from sale to survey and installation was very smooth and we are really happy with the finished result
