I have just been reminded to renew my Bettersafe worldwide car rental excess insurance which I was pleased to do. The price is the same as last year despite having to make a claim after some lowlife smashed our car window on Dominican Republic last year.

It was easy to purchase CDW insurance
It was easy to purchase CDW insurance, this saved us when picking up the hire care in Mallorca. The hire company did their best to sell us their policy but when the checked the bettersafe policy they couldn't find a fault with it and were happy to let us take the car. fortunately i have never had to claim on a policy.

I had purchased policies from Bettersafe on a number of occasions, but never had to used them. I took out an annual policy back in April. On a recent trip to Spain our hire car suffered a puncture. Obviously, the car hire company charged us for this as part of the excess left.
Upon returning to the UK I sent an email to Bettersafe, and they came back swiftly with the process I needed to follow. Once I had all the information they needed I submitted my claim.
I submitted my claim on a Monday, Tuesday it was assigned to a claim handler, Wednesday it was approved, and by Friday the full amount was in my account.
I found the process painless, but I did have all the information they needed. Maybe its best to make sure you check to pre-empt this just in case you need to claim.
