Really easy and hassle-free when it came to booking and collecting the Bike box from my local Bike shop. The packing instructions came with the box, and the link to the how-to video was really helpful

I have used Bike Box Online York for a number of years now and have been really happy with the quality and condition of the equipment. Kirsty answers email really quickly and all round communication is first class.

It was super easy to book online, then it was waiting for me at Giant Kendal on my morning of collection. The guys at Giant were really helpful, even helping me remove my pedals when I realised they were on too tight for my basic multi tool.

The instruction video that came with the box/email was really helpful, and once I'd figured out how to get it in, it was really easy to do on the way back. Well priced too. Would definitely recommend 👌🏻

The local BikeBox dealer was incredibly helpful and flexible about when I picked up and returned my BikeBox. The company also has an excellent video showing you exactly how to pack your bike away in the box. The boxes themselves are larger than other bike boxes I've seen so I only needed to take off my handlebars, wheels and pedals before I packed it away.

I ordered the hire in one shop, when I went to collect some weeks later the shop had relocated and nobody told me. When I went to the right shop I was ready to write a cheque for the £100 deposit, as per my confirmation e mail, but they wouldn’t accept it. Eventually, they put it on my bank card and charged me £4 for doing it. When I went back to return the box yesterday, on the date specified in my email, the shop was shut. When I went today, it took a while to return the deposit, and it’s not in my bank yet. The box itself was okay. Bit battle weary and careworn but it did the job okay. Overall a frustrating experience which isn’t over until I see the money. The lad in the shop (Cycle Revolution, Norwich,) was perfectly affable and sympathetic. On balance, I don’t think I will use this service again.

Value for money and the quality of the bike box is good and readily accessible from the hub.

great service and a cost effective way to take the bike abroad

Really good service. Bike well cared for when being packed and unpacked. No extra charge even though the return of the bike box was delayed due to it going missing for a while in air transit. I’d happily use them again

Flexible pickup/dropoff times and so much easier hiring a box than buying a bag that gets used once a year etc.

The process was seamless, team were easy to deal with and very accommodating despite the fact my bike and their box was lost by Ryanair on my flight home.

Thankfully we got both bike and bike box back (all be it 2 months) late and the bike box was returned smoothly.

Simple, straightforward and high quality.

Flight was cancelled at last minute so brought box back late but they were so understanding and helpful.

Great service and great box. Never had to worry about bike being damaged and so simple to steer.

Box is good, no doubt. But do your homework. It's massive. It will only go in most cars with the rear seats down. I was going on hols with the family so that wasn't possible in the car going to the airport or the hire car. So it stayed at home, I wasted paying for the bike on the plane too. Yes I'm an idiot for not researching this before, hence I'm sharing this

These guys are the best! Hired 5 boxes for a trip to France. The online booking was simple to navigate and picking up the boxes from a local hub (pop up bikes) was very convenient. Unfortunately on our return the boxes were delayed almost a week. Kerr and Prakash at pop up bikes were very understanding and a big thank you from us all goes out to you both.
Will definitely use them again and hopefully pop into the cafe as the atmosphere is very chilled and friendly , not to mention a great cup of coffee.

Kirsty was so helpful. I have never travelled with my bike before so she let me bring my bike over and showed me how to take it apart and fit it to the box. She was very reassuring it would be ok and let me bring the box back a little late as she wasn’t in desperate need of it back at the time. Very reasonably price too!

So much hassle at the start, bike always has problems, not very powerful.

Stay away, much better bikes out there

First class service from initial enquiry to ultimate return of Bike Box. Needed to take a road bike out to Spain to leave there and wasn't going to pay c.£800 + to buy a Bike Box just to use once. Came across BikeBoxOnline via a Google search and was really impressed from initial contact, including a great video on how to dismantle bike and pack it, so that it arrived in Spain in the same condition it left the UK. Well done and thank you.
