Friendly, helpful and flexible service.
The box itself was first class, strong and secure the box was superior to all the other designs of the other members of my trip. Would very much recommend the York hub for any future trips.

The pick up and drop off was easy, the bike box has a really sturdy outer to protect your bike. However, it is awful to move around. The handles are not sufficient to get a good grip on, so lifting the box onto trains, into taxis, up steps is hard work. This was made worse by the wheels, they are tiny ad in this case they were falling apart so pushing it along required a huge amount of effort. It is also a very small box so if you have a MTB you will need to remove the forks to get it to fit, not a big issue but something else to consider. Friend with EVOC bags had none of these issues. So, in summary my bike was safe but I was knackard shifting it around.

Absolutely efficient, box was in great condition, and no problem with the pick up and drop off. Just remember to bring your physical deposit with you. All returned with no fuss.

Easy Convenient pick up, boxes worked well and transported the bikes without issue. Shame same cant be said for the airline getting the boxes there on time.

Very happy with the service, the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Good price and convenient pick up and drop off point. Box was of good quality and my bike arrived there and back without a scratch or mark. Will use again.

The box was easy to use, packing the bike is quite painless. Navigating the airport / train / car on the way was OK. I wish there was a handle on top, that would make picking up the box easier. No problems with securing the bike, no damage or scratches.

Very old bike box. couldn't run on its old wheels as they were buckled and turned inwards so a nightmare in the airport as it wouldn't wheel and fell over all the time. Suggest you check before you take out of the shop.

Easy to pick up and collect. Portishead branch was great and could park easily.

This is the second time I have used BikeBoxOnline. I collect my box from Hannah in Portishead and the reason I shall continue to use the service is that Hannah makes it so very easy for me. The first time I used the service I had my bike dismantled and packed, but was more confident the second time. On both occasions I was able to collect and return the box at a time convenient to my work schedule. The VeloVault is an excellent box and if I used it often enough I would buy one, but BikeBoxOnline offers a far more cost effective solution.

Bike box was damaged and missing velcro straps so was unable to safely pack wheels with through axels rather than quick releases.

Velo valut is not well designed for aero wheels or disc brakes.

Kirsty was very helpful. Happy for me to pick and drop boxes at times to suit me- during day or weekend, early or late. Bike easy to pack despite full suspension 27.5 inch wheel bike with wide tyres. Bike very well protected and easy to wheel between terminals at the airport. Didn’t reach the 32kg airline limit despite shoes, protection and extra bike bits being transported in the box.

This is the third year we have used their services in York and have always been satisfied. Great to deal with from checking boxes will fit in the car, to convenient collection and drop off times. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic service. Friendly communications and catered for some last minute changes to return date. All round a brilliant experience and would definitely use again.

Did what we needed, but a couple of areas where there was room for improvement:

- we booked two boxes, but when my partner went to pick up from shop, they only had one. She had to wait while they got another from the depot (she was supposed to be working)
- the velcro on the straps in one of the boxes was no longer effective. On opening the box, saddles and pedal had worked free and moved around, which potentially could have caused damage (we had to pack differently on our return)
