Watch your credit card statements
After we returned our bikes, we were told our deposit had been refunded back onto our credit card. This did not happen. Several phone calls later, the issue was not resolved. Only when we involved the credit card company did we finally receive our deposit back. I understand mistakes and glitches can happen, but it should not take more than one month to correct.

Rented a bike at Central Park South, next to metro station, perfect location to start a bike tour. Price information clear and transparent without hidden extra charges. Renting a bike was so easy and fast. Super friendly service team. Next visit to NY I'll be back :)

I definitely recommend this rental!
I recommend this place to anyone who needs to rent a bike for an extended period of time. The bikes come with a lock. You can also get a basket for small additional fee. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Bad customer service, but a fun tour
We turned up at the specified location in downtown and were met by a lady who seemed blissfully unaware that bike tours were run from the location. There was no sign of the guide and a lot of confusion around why we were there (the location is a very small bike hire shop). The lady in the shop called a colleague who confirmed that a tour would be taking place, but that the guide would be "5 minutes late". So we waited. And we waited. And we waited. I asked the lady in the shop to confirm exactly how much longer we would need to wait, but she said that she really didn't know. The guide turned up around 40 minutes later having got stuck on the subway.
The tour itself was good fun and the guide real comedy value - although I did have to question some of the information that we were given - I think the guide was a conspiracy theorist - which added to the interest of the tour!
It was a shame that the "customer service" in the bike hire shop put such a dampener on the tour.

Invigorating autumn ride in the park. Complete with interesting live
commentary from witty and knowledgeable guide about the park and its neighbourhood. Stops at scenic lookout spots and the park’s landmarks always welcomed.
Fair on the pocket.
Just the right touristy thing to interest 2 teen boys travelling to NYC for the first time with their “boomer” adult - outdoors, crisp air, thrill of riding downhill, awe-inspiring NYC skyline and more.
Room for improvement - friendlier attendants when checking-in.
Would highly recommend.
