Horrible and unhelpful customer service!

I purchased a pair of X-Bionic Trick cycling shorts from Bikester on September 27, which after the first long distance cycle (50 km) provided me with blisters and numbness in my legs. I contacted bikester to see about the warranty as these were expensive shorts (130 euro) and I did not expect such discomfort on long distances. After filling in a questionnaire and sending them back, I hadn't heard back for more than 2 months. A couple of emails later I was told that the manufacturer doesn't accept that there is a fault with the shorts. When I tried to explain the reason why I think that there should be a resolution to this problem as it is difficult to know whether a pair of shorts are effective before trying them on a cycle and I paid a lot of money for them, I was told that I initially wanted to exchange them for a bigger size which didn't qualify for warranty. As I never had any problem with the size and did not mention it in my questionnaire (I'm petite, weigh 50 kg and purchased an S, I was definitely not needing to size up), I felt I was being disrespected by this lie. This came as an unpleasant surprise and made me think that my case was not taken seriously, the customer service had lied to try to avoid taking responsibility. I am very disappointed at how my case was handled and will not purchase anything from Bikester again. I found other shops more helpful.

We tried to start a claim with the supplier for you, but unfortunately the supplier had to reject this claim, because the article had no defects. In such a case, we cannot do anything more unfortunately.

Expected more quality control from German shop

I've ordered two bikes of the same model with different frame sizes for me and my wife. Shipping was fast and when I got them out of the box and put everything together they looked nice and good.

However a bit later small flaws appeared here and there:
1. Flat tire on one of the bikes - seems that it has not been tested well in the shop.
2. Cables on one of the bikes were tightened with proper cable tightenings but other one had some kind of unreliable plastic things, that I replaced with tighteners.
3. On one of the handlebar ends there was a small defect in leather winding.
4. Screws on handlebar are tightened in a way it is almost impossible to unscrew them with hex key.

Overall bikes are great but those small things are overshadowing nice experience.

Very bad service and never buy Elite bottle cages

At Bikester I purchased 2 Elite Custom Race Plus bottle cages. Appear that they can only be used with Elite bottle. This is confined by The producer (Elite). Contacted the service desk of Bikester and explained that I have to use my own bottles and that I would like to swab them with an other cage. Bikester refused this because I 'used the product'. I my opinion Bikester should have put this information that the cages can only use with Elite bottles at the specification of the product, to prevent me from buying the wrong cage. I will never buy at bikester again.

Added 21 March 2017: Bikester replied to this review confirming they are a client unfriendly company. Stay away from Bikester!

delivery not easy to plan paint on bike damaged

Delivery day delayed by late trailer but didn't say when to expect it then. Stayed the whole day at home but no bike. Next day had to work and wasnt home so it shifted over the weekend on monday so had to stay home till it was delivered. Bike Manuel not of the bike itself but a standerd one. Its ok but not really professional. Bike is good and not hard to assemble but it is a bit damaged at the frame and that bothers me a bit.

Easy returns, timely shipping

I ordered shoes. The first pair did not fit well so I returned them the same day as they arrived. On the same day I also placed a new order for different size shoes. Returns were easy (and free), though I did have to take the return package to a UPS pickup point near by. Shoes were delivered in 3 days. I got my money back for the returned shoes in a week.

nice and speedy

Light and speedy bike, good brakes although they could be a bit more tighter, it has a flip flop so I can change from fixed to single gear when I wish.
Shipping was insanely fast.
