Rushden Lakes Service was fine, albeit mid morning, but food overcooked, sausage was typical supermarket fodder. Why oh why do most cafés go for what I call sawdust sausages, I guess price, but I... See more

We had such a great visit to Bill’s…
We had such a great visit to Bill’s Soho Restaurant!
The food was fantastic – fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Everything came out quickly and tasted amazing.
A brilliant all-round experience with great food and outstanding service.
The service was the real highlight of our visit. The team were welcoming, attentive and genuinely friendly.
In Nottingham su day lunch
In Nottingham on 22 feb lunch. Very rude management. Person on door. And the second manager focused more on food. Also disappointed by absence of seasoning on mushrooms and avocado in the smash. Not likely to return to this branch.
Visited bills Soho on 19.2.26
Visited bills Soho on 19.2.26. The restaurant was very busy but service was still quick. Waiting staff friendly and when I left the restaurant in a rush without my phone the staff had kept it in the office with my table number on. The waitress had also saved my son’s football character which made his day to find it! So grateful for the kind staff thank you ☺️
Absolutely appalling service at bills…
Absolutely appalling service at bills Birmingham in the bullring
My partner and I wanted to celebrate our first valentines here. We had a booking at 8 and arrived at 7:50. We were made to wait in a queue for 25 minutes with groups of other bookings because the boys was “understaffed and overworked” according to the guy at the counter.
Once sat at 8:15, we were offered complimentary drinks on the house as compensation for the long wait. Our order was taken from the Valentine’s set menu of two courses and a free cocktail.
The starters arrived at 9pm and were cold. We ate this anyway but didnt receive our cocktails. At this point we’d drank the complimentary drink and nobody came to check on us or offer more drinks.
We asked for our cocktails and instead were wrongly given mocktails. When we complained, Instead of making the actual cocktails (which had different ingredients) the manager came over and had vodka shots to put in the drinks, this tasted vile.
At this point it was 9:25 and we had a second booking to go to at 10. We asked about the whereabouts of the mains we’d ordered an hour before and the manager said the kitchen was overrun and understaffed and may not make it in time. He said he’d give us time to think about whether we wanted to stay.
At this point we’d spotted all the tables around us had walked out due to the appalling service and that the table behind us had been told their order had never been put through. This didn’t fill us with confidence so we decided to leave.
The mains suddenly arrived (we ordered rare steaks and what appeared was overcooked black/grey steaks which must have been prepared for someone else or left waiting under a heater as backup). We said we wanted to pay for our starters instead and leave.
Once again we were ignored for 10 minutes and nobody came over with the bill, so we went to the main counter.
At this point the managers attitude completely changed and became very angry and rude. He tried to charge us for both the complimentary drinks we’d been offered and the “free” cocktails on the set menu. When we explained that these were free he became confrontational and said “I see what you’re trying to pull”. We kept trying to reiterate that we were happy to pay for the food but not for drinks advertised and offered as free. It was a very nasty situation and a complete flip on the apologetic person who repeatedly admitted that the venue was overwhelmed and that the service was less than adequate.
It’s clear he never intended for the “complimentary” drinks to be complimentary. This must have been some type of scam to make up for the loss of business from the multiple walkouts.
The whole evening was ruined. This restaurant is completely mismanaged and not hospitable at all. They can’t get orders right, they don’t put orders in, drinks are watered down and served wrong, any friendly service is a facade to keep unhappy customers quiet whilst they’re being ignored. It’s clear the customer comes last and the food is not fresh. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Valentines Day Lateness
My partner had booked Bills for Valentines Day but also for our anniversary which was on the same day.
We’re local to Exeter and have always wanted to go to Bills.
On arrival the restaurant was already packed at 4:50pm which was to be expected on Valentines Day.
We were seated quickly and had a good amount of room on our table. The decore inside was really pretty and the restaurant had good vibes.
However that changed when it came to food and drinks…
Our starters came before our drinks which arrived 10-15mins later.
Our main meals then arrived about 45mins after we had our starter plates taken away.
I went for a BBQ beef burger which I asked for Medium done but was more well done. The burger itself was quiet greasy but overall had a good taste. The chips were the BEST part!
My partner had a chicken burger tray that came with chicken wings. He said the wings were good but the burger had far too much coleslaw inside which was overpowering the whole burger.
Then it came to desert which I didn’t have but my partner had been waiting nearly 40mins for a cake. In the end we got our bill and left without having the desert despite a server saying we could have the desert on the house “if it arrived”.
We even had to put an extra 2hrs on the car as we had been already at Bills a total of 2hrs. Total of £10 for parking due to late service and missing food/drinks.
Overal we felt abit let down by Bills however, we both understood it would be busy because of the day it was on but we could have been warned on arrival that there was a wait on food and drinks.
Would we go to Bills again? I think we would maybe go again but this time this wasn’t the experience we was hoping for for our anniversary.
Lovely birthday lunch at Bill’s Chelmsford—great food and brilliant service from Brad.
Popped into Bill’s Chelmsford for a family lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Even though the place was buzzing and super busy, the vibe was totally chilled—we never felt rushed once.
The Food: Spot on. Proper good grub.
The Team: Huge shout-out to Brad and the crew. They were absolute legends and made the afternoon feel extra special. The birthday sparkle and surprise brownie was a top-tier touch.
Good table service
Olga was. So helpful and the other girl was so nice too and lovely food as ever and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and I recommend the service was very good and very good for gluten free options and the staff were so lovely and very kind and helpful and we really enjoyed the service and I do recommend bills in Horsham
Just moved to Writtle Chelmsford and…
Just moved to Writtle Chelmsford and ordered breakfast as we had no cooking facilities and it was lovely and thank you BILL for the gift of pink lemonade.
Everything was yummy 😋
Guarded 12.5% service charge opt-out
We had lunch, on a whim as we were passing. The food was fine - a good selection, well cooked and served quickly. We also liked the ability to pay via a QR code at our table. However, I do take exception with being presented with an 'optional' 12.5% service charge added to the bill, which required you to seek intervention from a member of staff should you wish to opt out. You are also invited to add a further tip, prior to checking out. This is sharp practice at best and sufficient to deter a return visit.
Bill's restaurant in North Road Brighton
We visited Bill's restaurant in North Road Brighton last night 31st Jan 2026. Thank you so much to all of the staff involved for making my friends 'party meal' such a success. There were eight of us (maybe the rowdy bunch)celebrating Paul's 50th, all with different food orders and drinks, our server Ava took everything in her stride and with a beautiful smile, nothing was too much trouble, the drinks and food were served so quickly even though the restaurant was full on a Saturday evening. The food everyone thoroughly enjoyed, all of the staff were so helpful but our star of the evening was Ava. Thank you again and looking forward to seeing you all again soon x.

Visited the Shepherds Bush branch for lunch yesterday
Great member of staff by the name of Clem - who was efficient, courteous and attentive at all times
Food nice and overall a great way to spend lunch on a shopping day out
Chichester Bill’s: busy Saturday lunchtime
I booked a table for 2 at Bill’s in Chichester. The booking system was easy to use and I received a helpful text the day before hand which prompted me to either confirm the booking or cancel.
When my mum and I arrived, we were greeted by Jasmine who was smartly dressed and smiley. She showed us to a spacious table for 4. Whilst she took our drinks orders, I mentioned I had a Blue Light Card. Jasmine made a note of this. Our food arrived promptly and piping hot. Both burgers and rosemary salt fries were utterly delicious! When it was time to settle the bill, Jasmine brought over the receipt and explained that the discount had already been applied.
Fab service, hot lush food, funky decor.
Definitely worth a visit, but do book!
Dreadful ! Sharing pancakes ist nicht allowed !!
Visited Southampton Bills for brunch. Ordered eggs benedict and eggs royale. Both eggs were hard boiled instead of poached. Seems the 'chef' cant cook poached eggs !! 🙈
Wanted to order one of the pancake deal after but told SHARING IS NOT ALLOWED !! If the waiter spots you sharing then you are asked to order another plateful or charged double !! How ridiculous is that ?? AVOID ! AVOID! AVOID!
Birthday celebration Ruined
I visited this restaurant at Rushden Lakes on Saturday (17th evening with friends for a birthday meal.
We arrived early and waited in the queue.
When it was our turn to be seated, we were told the restaurant was ‘too busy’ and could not accommodate us.
Moments later, a couple behind us was allowed in without hesitation.
This was disappointing and left us feeling singled out and unwelcome.
As someone who grew up under apartheid, this experience was especially painful and triggering.
I hope the management reviews their customer service practices to ensure all guests are treated fairly and consistently.
Evening Meal
Food was very nice, albeit the burger a little bit plain. Service was excellent and very nice staff
Our server Renars was very fast and…
Our server Renars was very fast and friendly. He works in the Hammersmith branch which my daughters and I love to go to. It’s very cozy in there and friendly service
Took extra money and denied refund
Went to wimbledon bills. Food good. Service good. Even paid extra tip as was looked after well. Then paid the bill by the link. Realised after paying that I was overcharged. They agreed I was overcharged but nothing they could do. Was offered a drink on the house (how is it on the house if I had paid too much?). It was also inferred that it was my fault I paid online and not by the machine. I even asked for a voucher for the difference and was met with a no. It is a shame as a mistake made on both sides. Both agreed there was an error but they chose to keep my extra money paid. (Extra star is for the service by table staff during meal but definitely not for what happened after).
Great time
The menu was lovely, the price is reasonable and our server Ami was amazing, very attentive and checking in on us! Could not fault her.
Disappointing
We arrived at the Victoria branch and asked for a table for 2 - there were at least 5 empty tables for 4, but they made us wait about 10 mins until a small table was available. It was not busy at this time, with more people leaving and only one other couple arriving.
Took our order fine - we both ordered the same, Thai green curry with crispy cauliflower. Mine arrived very quickly, but we had to wait and ask twice where my friend's was, so I was half finished by the time hers arrived. The dish tasted OK, but barely any cauliflower, maybe 2 very small pieces.
When the bill came, we noticed that as well as the service charge added, they had cheekily automatically added on a tip - look out for this if you feel they don't deserve it.
Such a shame, I usually like Bills
Bill's in Eastbourne
We visited this restaurant in Eastbourne during holiday season and were quite disappointed. With London prices they could pay more attention to food and drinks, on the top of everything they served espresso from cappuccino cups!
