avoid these crooks

I paid for a year's subscription as a Christmas present for my wife. All was going well until July when they stopped sending out the boxes. Both of us tried contacting them via social media, email and messaging. After an initial "we'll look into it." Response they simply ignored any follow up messages. Don't go near them, this is theft and false advertising. Pay for 12 months and get 8. Shocking customer service.

DO NOT USE THEM

I ordered my first birch box in September, did not receive it. Tried to contact them via phone, email, Facebook to get my refund no reply back or whatsoever. Absolutely disgusted with this company which clearly going into bankruptcy.

Paid for an advent calendar for my daughter. Not delivered, no response to attempts to contact them about this. Absolutely disgusted having subscribed to them for a few years.

Scammers

I paid £44.85 for a 6 month subscription back in July and I have only received one box. Now when I try to log into my account it says that I do not exist. I have emailed several times now, but not received the refund I requested, just a generic response. They refuse to give a refund.

Not impressed at all!!

My husband ordered me a birch box advent calendar in September and I have still not received it!!! I have tried contacting them via email and instagram as they gave NO way of contacting them any other way and it’s been 6 weeks and still nothing! It is now the 12th of December and I have not been able to use the product as detailed as this is an advent calendar and I have not been opening it daily!! I would really like someone to contact me at their earliest convenience as this now becoming a joke!!!

Birchbox UK, the next Pink Parcel??

After being subscribed for pretty much 6 years I'm incredibly disappointed to see Birchbox UK has gone the same way as Pink Parcel. No communication to customers, deletion of social media, taking money but not providing products. Very very shady! I feel sorry for staff who have clearly lost their jobs due to this but the company have really messed up by not being honest with us all! Very glad I didn't waste money on the advent calendar. Quite odd I can't find anyone on social media talking about this either!

No Delivery of Birchbox Advent Calendar

Ordered a Burchbox Advent Calendar at the beginning of October but have still not received it. Was fobbed off in my first email and now totally ignored when I asked for a refund. Why did they take orders and money when they clearly knew at that time that there were problems. Extremely dishonest.

Waiting on my avent calender and paid €85 IN Oct. Not a sign of it. It was meant to be my daughters Christmas present. My email query just bounced back to me.
Why would a company behave like this and just take your money. Keep your purses closed and learn from somebody who has been conned.
Very 😥 disappointed.

If I could give 0 stars I would ... I ordered 2 Xmas advent calenders and have not reviewed them and neither have I recoeved my birch boxes for many months do not signed up to this company they are on the verge of going BUST !!!

After 8y of membership

After 8y of membership, 4 with calendars, company emailed me with "Halloween offer" for calendar when looking at their accounts and behaviour since on social media it was clear they knew they were struggling financially. The last Director has "resigned" leaving the company not complaint at companies House and accounts are late to be filed. Everyone needs to do a charge back ASAP as this Company is definitely struggling financially. The Halloween offer could considered wrongful trading or Fraudulent trading if the Director knew in doing this and increasing their cash flow to exit that they would never be fulfilling orders but this is a matter for the Insolvency Practitioners IF they ever get instructed...!

Money/Goods Owed!!!!

Took money for my boxes, took money for the advent calendar that I paid for in October, had nothing delivered, chased via email, nothing, chased via facebook nothing- I have been a member for over 5 years and treated so badly! They happily taken money and not given goods knowing they were looking to file for bankruptcy

Get onto your banks to get your money back quickly

The sheer fact that this company knew they were going under late summer at the latest yet continued to send out offers to catch people out for pay up front memberships and advent calendars around Halloween that they weren't going to fulfil is downright evil in this cost of living crisis where people woukd be after little "cheap" ways to try make themselves feel that little bit better with money they can't afford to just throw into the air for nothing - especially as things continue to worsen into the winter.

I hope they're proud of themselves. They've lost any brand loyalty the previous owners had by these underhand tactics and will never be able to recover it, even if bought out. Get into your banks to chase their payments for unfulfilled items before they fully go under and the administrators take over. Hit them where it hurts - their pockets. They don't deserve to keep our money when they just continue to hurt customers.

I’ve cancelled my subscription now and I went through my bank to get my money back-was quick and simple. I advise all those without goods to do the same.

Avoid like the plague

I've been a loyal Birchbox Subscriber for several years. Ealrier this year they supposedly had a 'glow up' and 'made things more exciting for subscribers' but I assume this was code for 'our other management resigned and we were taken over by another rubbish company'. From August service, box content quality and reliability of subscriptions nosedived to the point where September boxes were only received in October (for those lucky enough TO get their boxes). They continued to hype subscriptions and flog their advent calendar and most importantly TAKE MONEY until the early days of October when they (again I assume) suddenly realised they had no idea what they were doing. I have no idea how many people received their October box as they turned off all comments on their Social Media and launched a blanket statement about 'experiencing issues' although as they were and existing subscription I have to say this is code again for 'our new owners had no idea what they were getting into'. Final net result is no October box but charged, no November box (luckily no money exchanged) and no contact. I've initiated a chargeback and block via my bank and have move on to other, more reliable, providers.

They used to be really good but now…

They used to be really good but now have stopped sending out the boxes, even those that have already been paid for. The last few months have been really slow to be delivered with much poorer quality products than they used to send and some repeats.
