I recently bought my car from this Birchwood Motors, and I couldn't be happier. The car exceeded all my expectations and is in pristine condition. I love how neat and well-maintained the car is, it feels like it was just driven off the showroom floor. Bought car in June, all fine, young sales man was great, messaged about an issue was fobbed off by owner, within 5 weeks of owning vehicle, needed over £900 of repairs, within 12 weeks needed more again.

May of been unlucky with the car, but wouldn’t use again.

We bought a Mitsubishi Outlander from Birchwood Motors at the beginning of August 2024, we purchased it whilst we were living in Spain, all we had was photos and a video to go on, so we needed a company that was Customer driven and focussed on trust and a commitment to deliver on what they promised.
Our car was delivered on time to our address.
3 weeks after recieving the car we had an issue with the rear breaks, we notified Birchwood and within 6 hours the issue was rectified by them and fixed.
It is refreshing to see a business with a proactive approach to customer service, it instils trust and a strong desire to reccommend to others and return as a customer in the future.

Exceptionally easy to deal with, transparent with regards to information. All of the staff were polite and motivated in their work. Location of the garage was really easy to get to with regards to proximity to Cardiff central train station.

The car was exactly as described and very happy with another reliable Honda.

Bought a used car from them, great price for the mileage and condition. Alex is a great honest guy, very friendly and knowledgeable, great customer service and explained everything very clearly, 100% would make the trip again to buy another car if needed and we live in Surrey so that’s saying something.

When buying a used car, you obviously want a quality vehicle, a good price, but you also want trust, trust in the seller to be honest with you. I feel I got all three at Birchwood Motors. I stumbled across them whilst browsing the AA car site, so that was a big plus if they had committed to AA standards. This gives you peace of mind, especially if you have an inspection too. It passed with flying colours which gave me the confidence to buy it, confirming my view that this was a good car. I dealt with Alex, who let me test two cars on my own, so that was a good start. I choose a Volvo V40. There was no pressure to try and sell me anything, I could browse and the atmosphere was relaxed. I put down a deposit to hold the car and when I returned to buy it Alex sorted out the paperwork and the DVLA etc online. It took about 10 mins tops and I was able to drive it away. I would definitely recommend them, I’m more than happy with the car.

Avoid at all costs.

Car purchased on March 11th. In 6 months and 923 miles £1040 has needed to be spent on repairs to keep the car on the road.

I appreciate that I purchased a second hand vehicle and that it could potentially develop some issues but not to this extent in such a short space of time and amount of miles. Quite clearly the car was sold to me with faults and issues.

Garage were instantly dismissive when contacted about the latest serious issue.

Absolutely brilliant service from beginning to end. Alex was very approachable and knowledgeable, and knew his stuff. The guys were very understanding when having to sort out a little payment hiccup on my bank’s side too.

The Birchwood team are approachable, honest, straightforward, really helpful and sell great cars. Alex picked us up from the train station as we'd travelled up from Devon and he made the whole car buying experience pleasant and easy and we felt comfortable about the whole process.
