Nick Brewis - excellent customer service

Walked in after seeing a vehicle and was met by Nick, who is actually the trainee sales manager for Honda. He didn't want us standing waiting for the automart sales manager so sat us down and started the process. Once free we were passed over to the automart sales manager.
After having some minor issues getting in contact with the automart team via phonecall and email, we went to the dealership to try to get answers.
Once again Nick was on hand and rectified all of the issues and queries we had, and made sure we had the car on the day we wanted to collect.
Nick is an asset to the company and the best car salesman I have ever dealt with.

Damaged vehicle

Very disappointed with this company. Unprofessional, rude and rubbish customer service!
DO NOT PURCHASE from this company!!
Recently purchased a vehicle, dealt with a male called Daniel that has no communication skills whatsoever, he sold me a gtd which was damaged. It had numerous faults with it and he did not mention. The vehicle has damage and this company gets the lights taken off the dash before selling. They have previously done this to another person as well. I have had two different engineer reports done on the vehicle from two different companies to prove the damage. The whole company are fraudulent liars!

Bought a car from Blackpool Automart…

Bought a car from Blackpool Automart (Cox's Honda) for it to break down 24hrs later leaving teenage daughter stranded on motorway. Lost all faith in car as recovery company found 6 engine faults. Had to fight for money back and very poor service from Daniel, the sales manager. Car is now back on the forecourt for £700 more than we paid for it. Buy from them at your peril!

Bought a Seat Arona 2020 reg after…

Bought a Seat Arona 2020 reg after trading in my Seat Ibiza, I have been trying to get them to sort out the primary user so 8 can access all the features of the car, however it's been like 5 or 6 months now and still not had a response, some one was ringing back months ago and still waiting and every time I address s this I get taken on a merry go round to every other worker, ridiculous, I have 2 year servicing through my finance and I just hope it's worth it when it's time to get it down otherwise I have so very good friends who would do my service for free and rectify any problems.

Evasive and unhelpful

Bought a car from SEAT Blackpool (part of Cox Motor Group) in March 2025, which was advertised as having a particular safety pack and was confirmed to me by salesperson Nathan as having the pack, but it did not have it due to an error at the factory. My formal complaint to the business was completely ignored. I have since gone to The Motor Ombudsman, and their request for information from the business has also been completely ignored. I await an adjudication outcome. Regardless of the outcome, the lack of engagement with either me or the ombudsman tells you everything you need to know about the aftercare service you can expect to receive from this business in the event of a problem with your purchase.

Friendly and professional part-exchange service

Completed our part-exchange purchase today with Nathan. He was very patient when our bank transfer proved not to be straightforward, he explained the purchase proceedure and even helped us set up the bluetooth and sat-nav on our new Arona. We feel we can go back to him with any future questions.

Run by a bunch of amateurs

I called the garage to try and purchase a car advertised on Auto Trader, a brand-new Seat Leon, that was a very good price. I spoke to a sales person called Nathan who seemed to know very little about the car itself to ascertain whether it was for sale or not, he promised to ring me back within the hour. I called him back four times, at one point he asked me would I be interested in a seat at Ibiza, when I clearly rang up about Leon?
I then called back and managed to speak to the sales manager called Bianca and she promised to ring me back once again nothing.
I then called up and spoke to someone in the Honda section of this garage and he put me on hold and came back to me when he heard that all I actually wanted to do was buy a car, he told me that I didn’t fit the profile of customer to be able to get that deal, I’ve never heard such absolute nonsense.
It was becoming quite obvious to me that this car was put on Auto Trader to create interest in enquiries into the garage, without any possibility of anyone being able to buy the car.
Certainly don’t waste any time driving from distance to that garage until you’ve actually had a conversation with someone and you’re aware that, that car is available and you can go and view it.
It’s a shame I couldn’t give no stars

We original dealt with leah who was very professional and we made a agreement on a car but then over the next couple of days i was awaiting paperwork to be emailed to me I got to speak with Nathan who was very helpful and dealt with everything for us we never actually met him but would like to praise him for everything he did. On the day of collection we received a video message off leah saying looking forward to seeing you at 3pm but when we arrived we had to deal with Matty again he was good explaining everything to us so buying 1 car I had to deal with 3 different sales people apart from that it all went smoothly thanks to Nathan being on the other end of the phone thanks again

Do not buy cars from these people

Do not buy cars from these people. Over 7 weeks ago we paid hard earned savings for a car. They registered the car to the wrong address- I had to pay £25 to rectify this- still awaiting DVLA V5. They did not provide details of the warranty - still waiting. No service booklet - still waiting. They were happy to take money but not provide any service. They are happy to ring and pretend they are helping - all they want is the commission. Seat please close them down it is getting them a bad name.

If I could give no stars I most…

If I could give zero stars I most definitely would. I Spent 14,000 on a car from Cox Motors Blackpool recently. Started having problems with the car almost immediately. They have no idea what's wrong with it and after 3 times returning it they have only just completed a diagnostic.

They informed us that errors came up on the diagnostic, but have not told us what the errors are despite asking on several occasions. They are very keen on repeatedly telling you that they are not technicians!!!!!

Initially they tried to fob us off by changing the key battery on 2 occasions and stated that the car was fixed and that this was done under warranty.
It most certainly wasn't fixed. If you don't complete a diagnostic check, how can you fix the issue if you don't even know what it is???
They "never" and I mean "NEVER" call you to update you and you have to constantly chase them to find out what's going on, even then they won't be open and honest and often back track on what they've said. Oh, and they will also call you a liar when they backtrack too.

I picked the car up 3 weeks ago and have literally driven it for 4 days.
When I voiced my concerns I was was told to "just be happy with what it is" Meaning they simply do not care what's wrong with your car after they have your money.
Who on earth would be happy with a defective car costing 14 grand??
I part exchanged a perfectly good car, which they have now sold and profited from.
I have opened a case with trading standards and will also be contacting the Motoring Ombudsman.

UPDATE

Car was finally rejected after being fobbed off for weeks. It took a complaint to trading standards and to the finance company for anything to happen and the letter of rejection was ignored by Cox Motors Blackpool for a for a week until someone found it on a desk and queried if anyone had replied.

However, it doesn't end there.
Cox Motors have made their profit from my part exchange which sold almost straight away, the finance company were fully refunded immediately. And surprise surprise, I'm having to chase my refund for my part exchange.
This company are an absolute joke and I would not advise anyone to spend your hard earned money with them. It is simply not worth the stress that they cause you if something goes wrong.

Nothing to much trouble with Blackpool Seat

i went into Blackpool Seat to see if the new Leon Black edition had arrived. Talking to one of the salesmen Matthew he said there was one due in a few days took my details and said he would let me know. The day after ii got a phone call from Matthew one had arrived. Went to look at the car lovely car but that one was sold. Matthew took all details of the car i wanted but they could not get the colour i wanted. Matthew along with the sales manager went through all the seat dealerships till they found what i wanted. From there they exchanged one of there Leon Black editions for the one i wanted. The main thing i appreciated was that i was kept informed of everything that was happening. In the meantime every thing was sorted with my car i was a very happy customer. Two days later the car arrived from the dealership it was worth the wait. i have dealt with various dealerships but this is the best by a mile. Nothing was to much trouble for Matthew and he was backed up by a good Manager.

Awful customer service

Worst first car experience ever, customer service is next to nothing once you’ve signed everything. Firstly lied to about the condition of the car, as the video sent to me did not show any signs of marks/scratches, so it was baffling as to why when I arrived to pick my car up, the bonnet had numerous scratches along the front which was apparently missed due to ‘sun light’ on the day of the video, and the steering wheel would not manually turn back to me when turning corners when driving, it was then offered to be re-painted free of charge if I brought the car back to the dealership, which I was insulted as to why I would have to bring it back due to their mistake and dishonesty. Finally came to an agreement that my car would be picked up for me and driven back to the dealership and a courtesy car given, received next to no updates for the entire 3 weeks that my car was gone and unsure as to why it even took this long, was then called to advise my car would be being dropped off, I queried if the wheel had been looked into and was told it would be looked into that day! Then another call 40 mins later to advise they had found an issue with the brakes and a part needed to be ordered, why this was only discovered on the day of returning the call after having it already for 3 weeks I’ll never know, then received a call the next day advising the part had been delivered and my car would be dropped off the following day, heard absolutely nothing the following day and had to contact the branch manager myself to get an update. There has rarely been any form of apology for this abysmal customer service and dishonesty, me and my partner have had to constantly badger for updates, my partner more so as I’m unable to constantly make/take calls due to work which they do not seem to consider, as my numerous requests to discuss via email have mostly been ignored/advised to call instead which isn’t suitable for me. Car was finally dropped off the following day, and apparently there ended up not being an issue with the brakes, as another member of staff then told me the car just needed a ‘run around’ unsure why I am being told different things, and unsure why the car needed a ‘run around’ when it had already been driven from St Anne’s to Manchester. Wheel is still an issue when turning. Still waiting for an email back from the branch manager to my email sent on 04/05 but I won’t hold my breath and refuse to chase this any longer, have since passed it over to the Motor Ombudsman who have advised they can investigate it further. Would not recommend, most stressful experience of my life!
