Bought a faulty car
Hi
Six month ago I bought the car from kendal honda automart,in few weeks it start to gave the trouble, until now nearly four times broke down, I told Kendal honda, you gave the faulty car please change the car or take it back my car. But no proper response, still i am fighting. Sooo pain full, this bloody dealer.
Wigan automart/wigan honda
Wigan automart/wigan honda. Avoid these 2 garages, you may notice that they don’t exist anymore, well they do just under different trading names, one being wigan Seat. We recently paid £17,000 for a used Mercedes from these people, all dealings made through wigan Honda, including test drive and showroom visit, down to the final payment being made to them (honda). The car had a number of faults which they refused to fix as they claimed that wigan automart ceased to exist as did wigan honda. Told to deal with Mike from Lancaster Automart, who denied any knowledge of me or my purchase.
Cox Group/Nortwest Honda Blackpool
Purchased a 2nd hand motorcycle from North west honda Blackpool, had a few niggles but they stepped up and helped solve the problems. Hat off to those involved, thank you.
Not a good garage!!
We went to buy a car from Cox Motors in Southport! I had arranged to meet the salesman! At a certain time, We had driven a long way too.
He wasn’t at the dealership but out having his lunch! When we had arranged a time to meet up. As for the car the colour was nothing like the pictures, the car was scratched and looked like it hadn’t been prepared for sale, my wife too one look at it and said I’m not buying that as it’s nothing like the pictures and it’s damaged and it had been extremely poorly valeted. When travel a long way to find out they can’t be bothered to wait for you isn’t good, I know we all need to eat! One phone call to let me know would have helped! But I still wouldn’t have bought the car in that condition. When I emailed them, they couldn’t be bothered to put my name in the email this says a lot about the garage.
Seat Ateca Purchase
I visited on 3 occasions once with a general enquiry (with my wife, grand daughter & daschund puppy), once for a test drive and once to collect my new car. Thomas and the staff made us welcome and this friendly service continued. A good car buying experience.
Honest and reliable company.
We found an amazing car at an excellent price at Automart.
Sadly this car then developed a fault which made us loose confidence in the vehicle.
Martin was very understanding, Automart paid for our repair and reimbursed our money in full.
Kork and Martin were both extremely helpful …the only negative is they are not very good at returning phone calls….but Always respond to e mails.
Lancaster Honda
Lancaster Honda.
Purchased a Honda crz from them, was sent a video as I reside hundreds of miles away from the dealership.
Charlie Campbell the sales lady walked me through the video describing that there were no dents on the car and only one small chip on the bonnet was visible.
The car was subsequently delivered to my neighbour, as the my house number was wrong on the delivery form, even although this was highlighted to the dealership prior to delivery taking place.
The vehicle arrived it was raining and a bit dull, however the vehicle form was filled in describing the chips that were noticeable.
The dents, and the fact that the front near side bumper moulding was cracked and dented became more visible as the weather improved.
Having tried on numerous occasions to make contact with Charley it transpired that she had left the dealership
After 6 or so chat messages over an extended period of days and subsequently weeks requesting that someone contact me I was eventually contacted by the sales manager, who after listening to my issues advised me that a touch up paint would be sent to me.
He did also offer to have the moulding repaired, however by that time I had refitted said moulding to the vehicle and was anxious about taking it off and sending it to them incase it went missing in the post.
I also advised that the aircon wasn't cold and that I specifically asked Charley to ensure it was working and cold prior to delivery of the vehicle.
After a closer inspection it became apparent how the moulding had become damaged as the bottom moulding was totally missing, it must have been ripped off.
Having tried to make contact with the sales manager, I was informed that he was on leave and an individual named Harry was dealing with any issues in his absence.
I eventually made contact with Harry having once again resorted to the chat line asking for him to contact me.
Harry informed me that the touch up paint was posted and he would sort out the moulding issue.
After another few days had passed I once again phoned Lancaster Honda and asked to speak with Harry. The salesman advised me that he would see if Harry was available, the response was I had unfortunately missed Harry who had just walked out the door to go home. (Convenient)
Apparently the sales manager will be in contact tomorrow. (Should I hold my breath !)
As it currently stands, Still no touch up paint, no bottom moulding or replacement near side front moulding. Oh and no advice as to where to take the car for an aircon regass.

Wigan Automart.
They will jump through hoops to sell you a car. Sales process and delivery all smooth. After sales is ridiculous. They vanish into thin air. Constantly have to chase them to correct issues they cause. Responses go from days to weeks to nothing. Very little regard for the customer. Would not recommend, would not use again.
If I could leave no stars I would
If I could leave no stars I would, a bunch of con men. Don’t use this group at all, avoid at all costs, you constantly have to chase them, ring them and they make false promises. They do not care about their customers only want the money.
Volkswagen Lancaster
Volkswagen Lancaster
Disappointed with this company. We recently traded my daughters car to Lancaster Volkswagen. We agreed a trade in price and completed a deal with the garage. They never inspected the car we were trading in. We gave the car sales representative a description of the general condition of the car. On the day we were collecting her new car and after signing the contract, we were about to drive away in my daughters new car. The sales representative stopped us and told us the car we traded in was not A1 and wanted additional money. I have never been in a more awkward situation. The sale person was not very professional and almost suggested we where trying to sneak away. Not a pleasant purchase and don’t recommend this garage. Please avoid.

I've seen the other reviews below of different dealerships but AUTOMART BLACKPOOL are unbelievable. Martin, a credit to the company.
I initially purchased a vehicle from Arnold Clark. Never again, bodged job.
The day after returning it I contacted Automart Blackpool in relation to a listing they had. Martin answered the phone. He was polite, professional and relaxed.
A couple of hours driving and I made it to the dealership. Martin threw me the keys and told me to take as long as I needed to see the vehicle. He didn't walk around it making excuses for this or that, not that he needed to, he didn't ask me if I wanted to buy it. He didn't even add pressure or the usual "Sell points of the car" he let the quality work they produce on a daily basis work it's own magic.
Within half a hour I'd paid my deposit and collected the vehicle within a few days.
I found a minor wear and tear mark on the car which Martin didn't hesitate on contacting the body shop who immediately came over. What a breathtaking Job they've done. No orange peel, brush marks, dulling. The car is like new, inside and out.
Throughout the process Martin kept me up to date on each step, didn't nag, didn't chase for documents to be signed and made me feel like the only customer on his busy daily schedule.
On collection night following a late finish at work he stayed open later to accommodate me.
5 star service and I've already passed a customer his way for a used vehicle.
I would like to say I do not know Martin or the company in any way whatsoever. I never usually do reviews but I had to on this occasion.
Cox motor group you've landed gold employing this man. A very happy customer here.

AVOID TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!
Initial deposit of £1k placed on 12th June, promised our car would be ready by the end of the following week which was then extended for the agreed work to be completed on the car before collection. I was assured that the work had been done and the car was ready to collect. After handing over the remaining balance of over £5000 I arrived to find the work had NOT been done as instructed by the sales rep who later left the business just days later. I had been lied to and over £6000 effectively stolen at this point. When queried Darren offered my money back which I accepted, brand manager Peter then removed this offer as the terrible attempts at rushing the work weeks down the line were failed, I collected the car on 9th July almost a month later with poor work still outstanding. I have since had an issue with the brake making a noise which has been refused by Automart despite being under warranty. I have had to do all the chasing, Automart Lancaster have been utterly dreadful. Avoid these cowboys.
After finding a grinding issue on the left passenger side this was admitted to VW for repair, they couldn’t find the issue and offered to strip the dash to find it. Darren and Automart rejected this despite being under warranty for the issue as it took 6 hours, basically because it cost too much. Avoid buying any sort of warranty as no doubt they’ll try any way they can to get out of it. I opted to swap the half service and MOT offered for this entire shambles for £125 to take this elsewhere as they were that bad I just wanted to part ways.
I cannot stress this enough this branch is that genuinely that poorly organised I had to initiate all communication and chase up several times despite the office being manned all day.
I could honestly go on all day as there have been several issues from start to finish.
Images attached of botched paint work Automart tried to rush through in just three hours over a week later than planned, basically attempted to fob me off. Images also attached of two issues that should’ve been corrected before pick up over a month earlier than when I finally got the car back.

Cox motor group full service history is…
Cox motor group full service history is not worth the stamp in the book.
I have just purchased a full service history CRV which has been serviced by Cox all its life. It has not had simple parts like air filter changed.
I wish I could upload a picture.
I am going to book in an independent inspection to confirm the break fluid and all other items and filters that should have been replaced during its full service history have been done. Currently I don't believe they have.
Also I have found a couple of MOT failures on the car. There response is "we'll fix it on warranty as they don't have to pay"
Criminal and be aware if you decide to use these dealers as it seems to be group wide.
I will forward my independent report to all relevant authorities if it confirms what I believe to be true.
Blackpool Seat - dishonest
Blackpool Seat are the worst examples of how a car dealership can stitch you up. In July of 2017 I bought a BMW 320i from them which they assured me had not been in an accident.
Subsequently I found out that they were wrong. It had been in a front ender.
Their solution? After five months and 700 miles they will buy the car back from me with a profit of two thousand pounds for themselves!
Russ Jones is the man behind this generous offer - don't touch them with a bargepole.
