Excellent Service

You have the most professional guys, from Myron and Curtis to the other guys on their team. Respectful, kind, courteous, and they know how to pack....from glassware, to clothes, to metal, to garage items. They truly made this moving experience less stressful for me! Thank you, again!

They did a great job. I really would recommend hiring them for all local moves.

Amazing experience. They moved an extremely large and heavy item along with our normal household goods. They brought the right equipment and tools to handle the big object. They were very, very professional movers and took care with all of our items big and small.

My moving experience went smoothly because of Granderson and his associate (the son of owner). Not only were they gentlemen, they packed my antique furniture well and moved it 260 miles away in perfect condition. I am elderly and disabled; those 2 men were absolutely careful around me and our 4 dogs. Nothing at all was damaged. They placed the furniture in the new house where we asked. They were honest, respectful, and hard working. I highly recommend Black Tie.

We recently used Black Tie Moving for a long-distance move across the state, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish.
Scott came out to our home for the initial estimate. He was extremely friendly, personable, and professional. He took the time to carefully go through all of our belongings, answered every question we had, and gave us clear, transparent pricing. His calm and helpful demeanor immediately put us at ease about what can often be a stressful process. Throughout the planning phase, Scott remained very communicative and responsive, which made coordinating everything much smoother.
On moving day, Braxton, Renardo, and Quortez arrived right on time. These guys were fantastic! They worked efficiently, carefully packed and protected all of our furniture, and handled everything with great care. They were friendly, hardworking, and clearly took pride in doing a quality job. We were impressed by how quickly and professionally they worked without cutting any corners.
Thanks to the whole team at Black Tie Moving, our cross-state move went better than we could have hoped for. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable, professional movers. Excellent service from estimate to delivery.

I 100% recommend black tie moving for all of your moving needs! They worked quickly to get out things moved out of our old house and into our new one. They asked questions throughout to make sure everything was done to our liking and made sure everything was in the right room. Thank you black tie for making this stressful move WAY less stressful.

Black Tie was so fantastic today! They were super fast, careful and thorough, and really pleasant and fun to work with. I’m so grateful! They made my move from a house of 20+ years really smooth and easy.

My furniture was supposed to remain on the truck and unloaded at the new address. My furniture was unloaded at a warehouse and loaded again on the truck. My dressers, china cabinet, and other pieces of expensive furniture is damaged with scratches on them. The representative from Black Tie will not return my call to discuss damaged furniture. There are many pieces of broken glass as well. I will admit I did the packing and that may have been a small part of the problem. The rugs are crooked under the furniture and we are not able to move the furniture to correct the problem. I suppose a return phone call from the management could have given instructions on repairing the scratches would have been helpful. In their defense they probably don’t know how. Just be careful who you hire and get lots of references.

They did a great job. I would definitely recommend them for all moving needs.

Two stars for doing the bare minimum job. -3 stars for making me feel like shit bc he had to do it. First time I hired movers and this company was recommended to me by two different people. One guy was friendly but it was obvious the other mover was upset the entire time. The move wasn’t fun for anyone, but I even helped the entire time by moving stuff to the new apartment myself and loading the elevator with stuff as well. The friendly mover even literally said that I turned a two man job into a three man job. At the end, I asked for both of their cash apps or Venmo’s so I could send them a tip and the upset mover replied to the other mover “I’m good mane” with an attitude and stormed out of the apartment. Even so, I sent the other mover extra money for him to send to the upset guy later. Right after they left I received a call for the payment and at first I tried to be nice and not say anything but it actually really bothered me how shitty I felt at the end so I ended up saying that my experience wasn’t great but I guess it didn’t matter bc they already received my $1k+ for the move and all I got back as a reply was “I apologize, I don’t really know what happened. But I apologize” and it was obvious no one cared to hear me elaborate on why it wasn’t great. If you want to feel like shit for hiring people to do the job they signed up to do, hire black tie movers.
They also damaged the corner of my bedframe, you can even see underneath where a piece of wood is chipped off. It 100% was not like this before the move.
So I paid $1k+ to be made to feel like crap and a ruined piece of furniture, even though I spent time HELPING the movers do their own job.

Braxton and his crew were great! They arrived on time and immediately got to work. They were very careful with all our furnishings, making sure everything was wrapped and protected. Once they started unloading everything they worked really hard to make sure everything was exactly where we wanted it. We had several heavy pieces going upstairs and they took their time and made sure there were no damages. This is our second time to use Black Tie Moving in the last 10 months and I would highly recommend them. Thanks Scott!

Packing and moving went well
Everyone worked hard. So many dishes were broken..a platter over 50 years old was crushed. Small scratches and small damages to wood furniture. But I'd have them move me again without hesitation. I have so much stuff it's amazing how well they did.

From start to finish Black Tie moving was amazing. I moved from Memphis to PCB and everything went as planned. Movers were on time at each end of the move. Communications were as expected. Nothing was broken during the move.
If you’re looking for a mover in town or long haul, these guys are highly recommended.

Cruz, Terrence, and Aston did an outstanding job moving my home. They worked so hard and took excellent care of my property I would recommend them to move anyone and will definitely use them in the future

The team assigned to our move was fantastic! I waited to do my review until I did some unpacking. Everything I have unpacked so far has been in perfect condition.
