Poor customer service
I have been with bloombox since June 2019 on the annual subscription. Always been happy, until last year, plants were duplicated within the same year. After mentioning it to them,I eventually I got ' sorry won't happen again'. I renewed for another year. I received a duplicate again and the plant arrived in a right state. I ask for a refund of my full subscription fees. They did refund 3/4 of it. No commercial gesture.Not good enough after spending over £700 over the years

Bought a terrarium diy kit and an extra mini plant plus tools and moss. Very happy with my purchases. The terrarium is great. My kids love it which was the point of getting it.
All arrived after 4 days of shipping to Ireland. Packaging was good and kept all mini plants safe All 4 plants looked healthy but I'm no expert on plants.

I used to order from Bloombox club years ago, but something has gone wrong terribly. They take your money, email you confirmation, but then disappear from the face of the earth!
I have tried emailing to get an update of my order that is now over 10 days, with no update on when or if I will receive it.
Totally shocking. Will be taking this to the ombudsman, as it was quite a large order.
The reviews don’t lie
The reviews don’t lie - Bloombox club does not deliver, does not update its customers but cleverly immediately marks orders as dispatched so you can’t cancel them. No updates sent on order progress and relies on you as the customer chasing them.
Have ordered from them a few times but will not be ordering from them again.
Avoid Bloombox Club – Terrible (i.e. NO) Customer Service and Stealing Our Money!
My partner gifted me a six-month plant subscription from Bloombox Club, I love plants so I was super happy with it! While the plants were generally nice, some of the included "pots" were just straw bags that leaked water, which was a bit inconvenient.
However, the real issue began when the half-year subscription was automatically renewed without my partner's consent. The renewal charge was debited from his account, and he immediately protested against the renewal - way before the seventh plant (the first of the renewed subscription) was delivered. Despite this, we received no response from the company.
We’ve tried to contact Bloombox Club multiple times through various channels, but it has been impossible to reach them. They don't respond to emails. Their customer service phone numbers—both the German and British ones—are non-functional. I’ve sent several direct messages on Instagram and commented on their posts, only to be blocked (!) by them... 🤡
Meanwhile, plants continue to arrive each month, and we no longer have space for them. As I said, I love plants, but this has become ridiculous.
TO BLOOMBOX CLUB: Please contact us immediately regarding order number 11373 and provide a solution. We request a refund for the second half of the year as we did not agree to this extension and protested it from the very beginning. At the very least, respond to our emails and let us know what is happening. Ignoring your customers is really not acceptable.
TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS: Think twice before subscribing to Bloombox Club. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend their service due to their poor communication and lack of responsiveness.
Fungus gnats
I bought a few plants from bloombox because a friend of mine gave me a voucher as a gift.
Firstly, the plants are overpriced and I always have reservations about buying plants online because you can’t inspect them for pests so this really put me off but I still went through with it purely because of the voucher.
The first time I bought the plants the order was delivered to the wrong address because the company missed a line of address. The second time the plants arrived but were absolutely riddled with fungus gnats.
There is absolutely no way I will ever use this company again and I urge you to not either unless you want a lot of hassle and a fungus gnats infestation.
Gift voucher not redeemable – no support
Ordered a subscription as a gift. The voucher I received is not redeemable. The support is unreachable. No responses to my emails and they do not pick up the phone. 130 bucks out the window.

Order took 4 weeks to arrive. I complained so much because the order was birthday presents that they gave me a discount but it really wasn’t worth the hassle. Quality of items was ok and thanks to Nicola for the discount but ordering from Bloombox Club was not an enjoyable experience.

I am not happy as everyone of them has died .I contacted bloombox and the response I got was poor .We followed the care instructions of tje plants .I will not be buying anymore plants from bloombox

Waste of money
I got a £50 voucher for my birthday and looked at the website and could not believe the cheapest plant (ordinary) was no less than £40. I had no choice to use the voucher and made sure I told my gifter never again. I ordered an eco plant bottle (£54) which I know are available to buy at £20 other places, but it was pretty from the picture. Paid extra for delivery and the box it comes in. Not only are the plants so ridiculously expensive, I have had a delivery to assemble myself. I haven’t even checked the quality properly yet. So basically I paid £60 plus to do the work. Never ever ever again. This just a ridiculous website for people who don’t garden and rich people who don’t know better.
Terrible experience from start to…
Terrible experience from start to finish. Order was lost in transit, was promised that it was being chased, but communication was poor and I had to keep chasing to get information.
Eventually they accepted that the shipment was lost. Issued a refund and told that for my troubles I could get 10% off my next order. Pointless as I’ll never use them again.

Bought a terrarium kit. I knew it was a kit because that's what I wanted..The 'kit' arrived and when assembling the 'kit' there was a distinct lack of soil and charcoal. The images on the website show the assembled kits with significantly more charcoal and soil.
The 'kit' looked bare when I assembled it. Not happy with the quality or the fact the item delivered was not as described I contacted the CS department. They don't accept returns. What? The product is not as described, so the don't accept returns. Feels like a con to me. The CS adviser also said I should know what I am ordering.......
I did know what I ordered as the description said kit, however the pictures on their site show a lot more soil and charcoal.
The kit they supplied would easily fit in a jam jar.
If you want to get ripped off buy from this mob. If not go elsewhere!
Terrible CS skills, damaged plants, rip off!!
Wish I’d been on here first. Ordered a snake plant, came severely dehydrated with brown tips, told this is normal!!!!! My fern is fine and these both were well packed. My terrarium planted were another story, got a company who stayed the high postage is to ensure product arrives in tip top condition and I even added the £5 insurance guarantee, the terrarium planes were packaged in a plastic cover which would have protected them perfectly had the packer cared not to trap most of the leaves in resulting in them snapping off. In addition to this it was placed inside the box for transit upside down!!!! So the majority of the soil in the plants emptied itself all over the box!!!
The final straw is contacting CS to be told they refer complaints to the fulfilment centre, who in true style came back and said nothing looked damaged!!!! Well of course the centre that poorly packed and damaged the items would say that!!!! What a ridiculous way to conduct customer service complaints. So now I’m 2 weeks on from delivery and no further in a replacement, complete gaslighting AVOID AVOID AVOID

Purchased a terrarium as a valentine’s gift for my partner. Poorly packaged with 3 damaged plants but customer service would only replace one of the 3. Replacement turned up in an even worse state. All 3 plants are not useable
Disappointing Customer service and Delivery standards
My partner ordered a terrarium for my Christmas present, she ordered it in November, when she had no shipping notice close to Christmas, she contacted Bloombox, who said they would ship it next day, that was 22nd Dec, the live plants and terrarium arrived 28th Dec, as it had been so long since shipping, the label said 23rd, we planted up the terrarium straight away, to give the little plants chance to recover, one passed away very quickly, covered in mould, we contacted Bloombox and they said we had the wrong plant and a replacement would be shipped, to arrive in 3 to 5 days, 8 days later it arrived damaged, very dry and missing most of its leaves, we have since been in touch with Bloombox and they've offered us a refund for the plant, a replacement, and 10% off our next purchase.
The terrarium with its light looks good, two of the original plants are surviving well so far, the little replacement he has already passed, so sat waiting for our 2nd replacement plant now.
Customer service for Bloombox is all by Email, there is no contact number, I know people often shout, but talking to someone can solve an issue very quickly.
Would we shop at Bloombox again, No, we are very disappointed with the customer service, we paid a premium for the terrarium and got second rate plants and service, in our opinion.

Terrible service
Partner ordered Christmas gift for her son was told would arrive in seven days so plenty of time before Christmas when it didn’t arrive was told it will arrive not sure when though but until then here’s a picture to show them of what you brought them. What a joke here’s a pic of your gift you might get sometime in the future….
And Bloombox don’t reply with your generic “where very sorry for our terrible service” how about actually do something to resolve issues or offer better solutions than here’s a picture.

Takes a while to dispatch (7 days) but when I emailed to chase it up it was answered quickly and dispatched that day. Coming from the Netherlands it took 3 days which was fair,I just didn't realise bloombox uk was dispatched from the Netherlands.I ordered a lucky bamboo plant and it was nothing like the picture on website,the websites photo has tightly interwoven stems and the one I received was more woven like a money tree,pretty loose. I had my eye on this for months so was very disappointed with the outcome.The sites photo of the plant looks very eye catching and unusual which is the reason I wanted it,unfortunately the plant I received could have been bought looks like it could be from a homeware/garden store. I emailed and sent photos and they said no refunds or returns. Not the worse experience but for the prices I would say just go to your local garden store,you will find similar plants and be able to return them I needed
