Since 2004, Bluebird Care has been here to keep loved ones where they feel safest: at home. We started as a family business, and today we’re honoured to be a trusted partner in home care for families across the UK through our network of over 200 local teams.
Our purpose is simple yet profound: we’re here to enrich the lives of those we care for—helping them stay independent, maintain dignity, and enjoy the everyday comforts of home. Our team of compassionate professionals is dedicated to making this possible, day in and day out.
At Bluebird Care, we know how hard it can be to balance care with life’s many demands. We understand the emotional weight that comes with aging, illness, or disability, and we’re here to provide support that feels not just capable, but caring.
We offer a wide range of services, from personal care and companionship to dementia support and end-of-life care—always tailored to the unique needs and wishes of each person we care for. And we’re here for families, too, helping lift the responsibility from your shoulders so you can focus on being the son or daughter, rather than the caregiver.
Bluebird Care stands out because we genuinely listen. We make sure that every service is crafted around the people we serve. With us, you can trust that your loved ones are in gentle, reliable hands, so you can have peace of mind and they can have the comfort of home.

Bluebird carers looked after my elderly neighbour for the 2 weeks we were away on holiday. The whole process of her assessment and care planning was professional and a care package was put in place at short notice. It was very reassuring knowing that the carers were going in and ensuring she was up and about and having her medication and breakfast as these are the things she often forgets to do for herself

From our first contact with Bluebird care they have been truly excellent. Very responsive and understanding of Mums changing needs and flexible around her changing dependency. They have been transparent about costs and payments and always available to discuss anything as needed. I have been so pleasantly surprised at how compassionate the carers have been and the great communication

From our initial request to restart care following my father’s respite in a care home, Kate has been thoroughly professional, extremely approachable, explaining every aspect of the care Bluebird could provide for Dad and ensuring Dad’s best interests were at the forefront. Her compassion when dealing with sensitive issues is extremely professional and her understanding of Dad’s issues were exemplary. She is always happy to help with any query and reassures us of her presence in the background should she be needed. I would recommend Bluebird Care and in particular Kate to anyone who finds themselves looking for care for a relative. Thank you Kate.

All the staff we have talked to at Bluebird Care have been kind and caring. Quick to respond. Lloyd visited Mum the first time to asses her needs and he was kind and considerate with Mum. Talking clearly about Bluebird Care.

When my wife had a stroke, I realised that we needed some daily visits from a carer. I conducted the search and eventually narrowed the number of companies to two. Bluebird was one of these.
I was visited by one of the executives who was personable and knowledgeable and it was clear that they were a first class company with a reliable performance. I asked to see their contract and it was because of this that I decided not to use them. Within the contract their terms are that to change the calling pattern, they needed 28 days clear notice and if that was given then there would be no charge for the missed visit. However, if within the 28 days the full charge would be made.
Even though one is confined to a wheelchair, one does need a social life and that is important for the well-being of the patient. While most changes to the calling pattern can be anticipated 28 days ahead, one hopes that there might perhaps be an invitation from a friend to have supper or a realisation that going to the theatre would be a good experience. I need terms which allowed changes on the part of the customer.
The Care company we have chosen, Right at Home, seems equally professional but allows customers to miss a visit with no charge provided two clear days notice is given. That is a huge difference of 26 days.

Bluebird Care has been exceptional from the very beginning of my career. I have never experienced such a high level of support working for a care company, and I am continually impressed by how the company not only prioritises the well-being of its customers but also values and supports its staff. This is the first time in my career that I have felt genuinely cared for by an employer, and the company consistently exceeds my expectations.
Thanks to Bluebird Care, I have been able to advance in my personal and professional development at an extraordinary pace. The support and kindness I have received from colleagues, ranging from healthcare assistants to the senior management team, have been truly invaluable.
I eagerly look forward to seeing how my career continues to evolve with Bluebird Care. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for the opportunities I have received, and I wholeheartedly recommend Bluebird Care not only to consumers but also to fellow healthcare professionals.

Kate from Bluebird listened to what care we needed for my 91 year old mum, took me through how this could be achieved and walked us through the process. Mum was put at ease by the lovely carers who quickly assimilated what she needed.

Kate was very responsive to my queries and tweaking care for my father's changing needs. The carers have all been trying hard to build up rapport with my father as he gets used to accepting help at home.

Deeply disappointing service - We booked a Bluebird Care live in carer for my parents. When the carer left the room provided was damaged, wall decoration was spoilt and a pine dresser water damaged beyond reasonable repair. We had video of the room condition before the room was occupied and pictures after the carer left and the before and after clearly show the damage when the carer left. Bluebird Care's management denied it was their carer and suggested that 'others' in the property 'may' have caused the damage. The 'others' were my two 93 year old parents that were mobility impaired and totally unable to climb the stairs to the 1st Floor so we videoed the room to show my parents how it had been set up for the carer’s arrival.
(Carer was only in property for 8 weeks)
Bluebird Care's response:
Of course, I fully appreciate why you might feel that we should pay to replace and repair the damage in the bedroom, however, as Stephanie explained previously, it is so difficult to be certain where a fault, if any, lies. It is clear from your photos that the damage is real however, even with the ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos, who actually caused the damage, in these situations, cannot be 100% determined.
It is insulting to suggest that my parents would have deliberately damaged their own house, even if they were able to climb the stairs to reach the room.
If you plan to use Bluebird Care live in carers, then insist on weekly, signed off room checks with their management. They hid behind their contractual terms despite knowing their carer had caused the damage. You have been warned, make sure you protect yourself and your property.
In addition, it took several chases to get our deposit returned with lots of vague excuses as to why it was late - staff on holiday etc.
It is stressful enough when close relatives are at an end of life situation, Bluebird Care’s staff made things so much harder.
Following Bluebird‘s reply, I decided to take up their offer to ring them and discuss it further. I called on Monday, the 29th of April to speak to a Sharon Tutton the operational director from the Winchester/colden common branch but unfortunately she was in a meeting. I was informed that they would pass on my message and she would get back to me. We are now five days later, and I still have not had a response from Sharon Tutton.

Bluebird have been amazing in their relentless focus to deal with a situation we had in our establishement. They worked quickly and efficently to support us and they are now fully embedded in the routines. The staff are very caring, proffessional and extremly hard workers. They are extremely reliable and all the staff are fully trained in all areas that are required for care. If you are looking to find care, I would fully recommend Bluebird.
