Would give 0 star if possible

Would give 0 star if possible.
Purchased lights while doing Reno’s six months out.

Noback in the house, just took the item out of the box and have a few issues with the product.

1. Light bulbs will not go into the socket properly
2. They are not CSA certified, therefore no electrician will touch them. This is misleading as you show Canadian prices and you would think they are meant for Canada.
3. All lighting wiring in Canada is black and white. The lights that were received is blue and brown… I don’t even want to attempt wiring to have my new house burned from wrong wiring
4. The base of the lights are the incorrect size. In Canada we have much bigger bases which this will not fit.

Company will not return or stand behind product.

SITE IS A SCAM

SITE IS A SCAM! never received my lights and the "customer service" never did the minimum effort to help, i never got a tracking number and they used a fake company for the logistics. Do not buy here I NEVER GOT A REFUND.

Great Lighting and Decor

Great designs, reasonable prices, and solid customer support. I’ve ordered several items from BO-HA, including wall sconces and pendant lights. Their designs are modern and stylish, fitting perfectly in different spaces. Pricing is competitive, especially considering the quality.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
They don’t answer your emails and make it impossible to set up a return.
I didn’t know Wenche was affiliated with BoHa. They claimed to never receive my return 2 years ago and I lost $200. Now they won’t answer me to return my current order, which I never would have placed had I known they’re the same company.

Don’t buy from them

Don’t buy from them. Straight from China. Bought the Alfi and it’s way smaller than what it looks like on photos and came with marks on the paint job. These lights look like they cost $20 and we paid $250 CAD for them. Such a rip off. Have little faith I will be able to return. Avoid avoid avoid. You’ll see the positive reviews on here all sound like canned advertisements.

My Order Took 19 days to arrive

I ordered a light fixture with Bo-Ha on July 20, 2024. On their website it states, 'Please allow an extra week for this product to come, as it is handmade.' After watching it ping-pong all over China for two weeks, it finally arrived on August 8th (Nineteen days later). I have emailed them to ask to return it, as I don't need the light fixture anymore (we bought another since this one took so long to arrive), and they have sent me four emails asking me to exchange it and will not give me return information directly. Waiting to see if they'll actually give me the return information I need to send this $300 light fixture back.

Worst service snd products i have ever…

Worst service snd products i have ever recieved!! Im so disappointed and sad. I bought two lamps that are so cheap in quality and I received no cables or anything to the lamps. It took forever to get them and when i talked to the customer service and told them i want to send it back and want my refund they stopped answering! Worst company ever and they steel your money!

Don't care about their customers at all

On December 11, 2023, I reached out to them per the instructions on their website to return sconces I had purchased. Based on the condition of the packaging it looks like someone has opened these before, and they overall just didn't look like the quality that they seemed to be on the website. I didn't like them at all, and figured the process would be simple given that their website specifically says says “24/7 support” and “easy returns no questions asked”. Apparently that's a flat out lie because it's been 8 months, a dozen unanswered calls and voicemails, and over 40 ignored emails and I'm still stuck with sconces I don't want. Will never purchase anything from here again, biiiiig mistake :(

Drop-shipped products, bad refunds

Don't buy from this company unless you're OK with paying 50% more than necessary and getting just a 10% refund after months of chasing them.

I bought 3 Ahni lighting fixtures to ship to Canada. I liked them and felt confident to purchase them because their return policy says: "We offer a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee after you received your order for a full refund, no questions asked! Don't like the products? No worries ..."

After I received the lights, I felt creeped out and ripped off because the boxes they came in said "Ali Express" so it was actually a drop-shipping company that charged way more for something I could have found on Ali Express myself. ($144.99 CAD on Boha, and I found the exact same ones for $49.98 on Ali Express)

They were also in plastic when I expected them to be in glass, though this was a mix-up Boha said they'd be happy to fix.

I emailed Boha right away to claim my full guaranteed refund, as promised. I had paid $341.85 USD in full for my purchase. This was April 10.

After many follow-ups by me, on June 27 they sent me only a fraction of a refund of $34.10 USD. Ridiculous!

They claimed this refund amount had been reduced because it was taking into account the return shipping to the United States, where they are based. They sent me this refund and told me to keep the lights because it wasn't worth shipping them back.

I would not have purchased these lights if I had known that ordering from Canada exempted me from the full refund guarantee.

The reason I'm giving any stars here at all is because this company isn't a total scam. The company (Stephanie) was very responsive when I asked questions before my purchase, and the order also actually arrived, so minimal points for that. They have nice lights, although mine were lower quality in person than I expected.

I would recommend anyone who likes the lights from Boha go on Ali Express and order the same product for 1/3 the price.

I also don't respect the company's lack of transparency regarding the return / refund policy, and their ghosting once I had a problem. Not professional.

I realize they're probably small business people straight out of an MBA program or something like that. Guys, I think you can do better. Start with a trustworthy return policy and better communication on returns/refunds.

Wrong item received - refusal to return/replace/refund

I ordered a lamp, and I received it in the wrong light tone. I emailed the customer service to indicate they had made a mistake, and they denied a return of the item because I am outside the return window (ofc, I could not see right away that the light was wrong because I needed it to be plugged to a cable in the wall), and refused to refund or replace the item. They offered to send the correct item with an invoice for me to pay for it. And by the way that was 107€ for a lamp made out of plastic.

Avoid!!

I bought five fixtures. Problems with all. For starters the canopies (piece that covers your electrical box) do not cover the standard 4 inch lighting box. I’m a general contractor. I know what I’m talking about. I’d guess 99% of lighting boxes in America are 4 inch. I had to replace them all.

Secondly, every single bulb that shipped with the fixtures did not work. I tested with other bulbs/fixtures. It was their bulbs.

Last, I messaged them multiple times asking for help and heard nothing back.

Again, I’m a general contractor. I know lighting. This ain’t it! Lol. I would simply avoid this company.

Oh….one more thing, I bought a wall sconce and didn’t check the specs (my fault). It was hilariously tiny! Like the size of a credit card. Also, doesn’t cover American lighting boxes. I threw it away.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I have been trying to obtain my refund for 11 months. 16 emails laster, I have received only one response that indicated a manager will call me back. No call back.

Update: July 30, they support team contacted me and said they will provide a refund in 7 days. 12 days later, nothing and no response yet.

worst customer service

I ordered two lamps for an interior design project ( with their sister brand Wenche) well in advance. The tracking number provided never worked, which was extremely frustrating. I attempted to contact customer service numerous times to follow up on my order, but I never received a response.

The lamps finally arrived almost a month late, which negatively impacted my project. Since the day they arrived, I have been trying to contact the company to arrange a return, but they have not responded at all. It has been 20 days since my initial attempt to reach out to them regarding the return.

This has been a highly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their lack of communication and customer service is unacceptable.

Honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I've sent literally 20 emails requesting assistance and have only received a single email back. This has been going on for months and I'm still no closer to getting resolutions.
