Reviews are false and not a true reflection of the company

Used this company for my mums boiler service a few months ago.

Since using Boilers R Us they have offered incentives for good reviews such as prize draws and love to shop vouchers.

I was not overly keen on the service they gave.
An engineer Dean came to the house he serviced the boiler he was in and out within 10 minutes.
He refused to take his shoes off despite being asked due to new carpets.
Dean did not have his gas safe ID on him which caused my elderly mother to question if he was from the right company.

Since then I have attempted to raise my concerns to the office girls which went unheard. They then sent incentives for good reviews.

I feel this is bad practice and their 5 star reviews are not a true representation of the company

Unsure where to leave a reply but have emailed yourself and trustpilot

My 1st reply is
We had to check your gas safe register when your engineer arrived due to no ID and Dean was on the register so is this not your engineer?

Secondly
Trustpilot policy states:

You were offered an incentive

You can't write a review if you've been offered an incentive — businesses aren't allowed to provide incentives of any kind for reviews. Incentives include, but aren't limited to, discounts, monetary rewards, loyalty points, gifts, coupons, referral bonuses, etc. Been offered an incentive?

You have pubically admitted to offering incentives and breaching trupilots policies and this will be sent to trustpilot so thank you for clarification it was not just us you offered this too.

Thirdly you question my review level most of your reviews from people have only left a review for your company and no others does this mean these are fake reviews? Or is this due to your illegal incentives?

I am happy to have a discussion with the case manager, Joby Babu, from Trustpilot. I have raised these concerns with and yourself if you can provide the managers details

I have also checked our records and couldn't find any information regarding this matter, are you sure you have the right company ?

Its very strange we have received 2 1 star reviews on the exact same day and your other reviews are also on the exact same day to make it look like the account is legit.

All our engineers are gas safe registered and carry their gas safe ID's. We don't have a service engineer named Dean so that information is incorrect.

Yes we do offer prizes and cash backs which our customers appreciate, as a local family business we like to give back to our customers.

I will be reporting the review and I will be taking this further.

Dean is an engineer within the company, however he is our installing engineer and does not cover servicing on that department. He is scheduled daily for installations only.

I have admitted we offer prize draws for our loyal customers, however this is to all our customer who have supported us. This is not illegal, we do not force customers to leave reviews, and that is not possible.

All reviews are from customer who are happy and satisfied with our service and continue to use us and recommend us.

Unfortunately I have still received no contact from you to discuss this further. I have offered on many occasion and given you the chance to contact me, but you have avoided. I will be still investigating the review until further information or proof is given on the information you have stated against our business. You mentioned you tried to raise your concerns with the office, we are a small family business and no one has any recollection of such call. I will wait for a response still.

Friendly and helpful

Office staff are friendly and helpful making sure you get a time slot that suits.
Engineers are always friendly and polite, using shoe covers etc.
They offer helpful advice to get to the best solution if any additional work needs to be done.

Just had a new combi boiler fitted into loft

Just had a new combi boiler fitted into our loft by boilers r us both Dean and Dave were very professional and tidy, the work was completed in the allotted time that they said and left our house in a tidy state.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone needing there boiler repaired or a new one fitted, thank you to the whole team .Barry

Boiler servicing

Boiler service completed and the site was left clean and tidy. Technician was polite and pleasant taking precautions when he needed to go anywhere in the house. Over all pleased with the service provided.

BoilersRUs upgraded today my boiler ( installed and maintained by them as well ) with the HIVE controller.
Engineer was on time, very friendly, explained everything and cleaned up after the installation.

BrU Bad Experience

They installed a Vaillant ecoFIT825/35 last October with a 10y Vaillant guarantee and a 1yr g, on their work. it has 2 new Honeywell Thermostats.They left the 2 old control boxes from my old Worcester in place. One box failed in Nov. and they replaced it free after attempting to charge me. The second box failed last week leaving the upstairs rads permanently hot. This time they insisted on me paying. I thought I was getting not just a boiler but a boiler system that would be trouble free for at least 1 year - my old Worcester lasted 10 years with no problems. I have checked with other suppliers and they think that the boxes should have been replaced at installation as part of a full new boiler install and the failure should be BrU's responsibilty. I have told them to get stuffed and they are the last installers I would use henceforth. This is likely to cost me nearly £200. Other minor niggles with them - 1. they marked the thermostats with black marker ar'Up' and 'Down' and failed to clean them when told. They were finally cleaned by me with meths with difficulty 2.their fitters twice turn the thermostats down to 5% and failed to put them back to room temperature when they left. This left me wondering in the evening why everywhere was cold.

I have investigated and can now respond to your review.

We did install a new boiler for you in October 2022, to date we have returned to the property 4 times under your 12 month fitting warranty to re visit and show you how to control the thermostat. The marks on the thermostat were put there on your request to help guide you in turning the heating on and off.

On our last visit the engineer arrived and inspect the fault, he found the one of the 2 ports on the heating side was sticking and needed replacing. As this was an existing external part from the boiler this is unfortunately not covered under our fitting warranty. The information is stated in our T&C'S. The boiler fitted is working absolutely fine.

We do offer cover plans that cover external controls, with no excess fee throughout a 12 month plan.

The member of staff did offer to speak with the manager for a solution as you was not happy with the procedure, but you put the phone down and didn't wish to continue the conversation to resolve the issue.

If now wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact us as we don't like to hear that our customer are dissatisfied with our service.

Excellent service

We had our boiler installed by Boilers R us some years ago and servicing since. They arrive on time give 20 mins notice and do an efficient and clean job. We also used them for our tenanted property we were letting a year ago and they were able to relay the pipe work to comply with regulations for letting (gas safe). This was done quickly and they also connected the cooker. The engineers were friendly and helpful.

This company was very efficient and very professional
From going to see the staff in the shop. To the engineer who gave us a very good price over a £1000 cheaper than the previous quote. The engineer who fitted the boiler was clean and extremely efficient even down to putting down dust sheets from my front door to where the boiler was situated. He also was quick and very helpful when I asked questions. Well done to all really good company very happy from the experience would say to any other person who wants a boiler fitted use this company highly recommended

Excellent

We had a really good experience with the team at Boilers R Us. Very responsive on WhatsApp and someone came to see us the next day early morning on Monday, considering our boiler broke on a Sunday.

We were given honest feedback of the situation and felt reassured. At the end we needed to replace the broken boiler with a new and better boiler.

The new boiler was fitted the following day, early morning and completed early in the afternoon. He was very efficient and asked us many questions to make sure we were happy with everything. He also demonstrated how to use the new boiler and he kindly checked all our radiators.

Overall, communication between the team were good and service was great. I would highly recommend.
